Hope all is well with you during this beautiful month of September! I just got back from Vegas, which was a lot of fun. I was working a lot, so I didn’t see get out to see toooo much, but I saw a really great show and thank God I brought food for my clients!! :)
Everything is energy. Consequently, we can therefore classify everything as either emitting a positive energy or a negative energy. Good quality food, clean air, pollution, and toxicity in the body are physical entities that contain energy, but the energy of the company you keep, your co-workers (since you are around them all day) and friends and your thoughts are also energy. Things that we can not see with our two eyes have energy as well! If you intuitively feel that someone is negative or an “energy suck”, avoid them or situations that you have to be around them for a long time! It WILL affect you.
In order to increase the positive energy in our body, it is key that we increase the quality of our food, and consume as much natural, organic and whole food as possible. Our diet should be anchored in plant foods.
However, the other side of the equation is that we must be sure that we are consistently removing (cleansing) the toxicity from our bodies, which is negative and has disintegrative qualities. Pollution, waste and acidity are constantly building in our systems. We must work to eliminate them as much, and as efficiently as possible on an ongoing basis.
Our bodies have several different systems and organs that are involved in our body’s cleansing mechanism. Pooping is the obvious way, but it isn’t the only way! :)
Here are some of our body’s major cleansing organs and mechanisms through which toxins are released from the body, and how to support them and avoid things that impede them:
Circulation:
Support:
– Organic, high plant food diet
– Exercise
– Dry skin brushing
Hinder:
– Excess fat
– Cholesterol (from consuming animal products)
Kidneys/Urination:
Support:
– Clean drinking water (never drink tap water!)
– Foods that contain a lot of liquids
– Watermelon juice
– Coconut water
Hinder:
– Holding in (pee when you have to!!)
– Coffee
– Alcohol
Colon/Bowel Movements
Support:
– Eating the right foods, in the right combination and way
– Colonics and enemas
– Drinking plenty of water (water cleanse!)
Hinder:
– Dairy
– Too many (other) animal products (they contain no fiber)
– Overeating
– Having a mental disposition of not “letting go” of things
Lungs/Proper Respiration:
Support:
– Consistently being aware of taking deep breaths through the nose, and expanding the entire lungs (the belly should rise but the shoulders should not go up, which could restrict air flow)
– Exercise
– Meditation
Hinder:
– Short shallow breaths
– Getting angry, stressed out or agitated often
– Not exercising or meditating
Skin/Perspiration
Support:
– Drink a lot of water
– Using non-toxic skin products and not too many of them!
– Exercise
– Infrared sauna
Hinder:
– Anti-perspirants. No one should be using an anti-perspirant as it blocks our sweat channels and holds toxins in !!
– Deodorants that contain mercury and other toxins
Hope this helps you to keep your precious body, and those of loved ones, more clean.
I send my love!
Kimberly
Thank you. You always post something when I need it :)
Great post! Quick question: how often do you suggest a person should get a colonic? And do you have any recommendations of a colonic place in NYC?
Thanks!
Thank you Kimberly for all your wonderful Blogs, I always look forward to reading them and they always keep me on my toes.
Much love and Light

What a great, informative post! Beautiful photos too, are they recent?
Kim,
This is such a great post and well needed, at least for myself. I try to live/eat a in a clean way but sometimes get a bit distracted and go back to my old ways.
Glad to hear that you are doing so much with all that knowledge you hold.
Take care, and keep all of us posted about your book….. I am very anxious to read it.

Kimberly, Your newsletters are like gifts for me and I always enjoy them – thank you! I am especially interested in this elimination issue. I have Chron’s disease and am in a severe flare up. I loose a lot of blood and am anemic as well. I only go to the bathroom 1-2x per week and loose a lot of blood when I do. What do you recommend for someone like me in terms of diet (I do organic already). I need iron and crave red meet – is this ok? Have you heard of the makers diet or SCD diet? My doctors are only concerned with my meds and not what I put into my body. Any help or thoughts would be so greatly appreciated.
Hello Margaret –
I may have some suggestions for you.
Sally
Hello Sally,
If you do have suggestions, please contact me at disantis_hill@yahoo.com or let me know how to get a hold of you!
thank you
Great post, very informative. I think it should be noted though some of those things that hinder our performance (if not most of them) are okay in moderation. For a while I went off coffee, but now have started allowing myself to have it in moderation. Although I do agree avoiding it all together is best. All raw is definitely the way to achieve peak performance, but more recently I have taken on the idea that an all raw (or very high raw) is too restrictive. I enjoy certain things too much to give them up completely.
I will say though that when I was eating 80% raw I felt AMAZING. Still keeping the diet around 50-60% raw though. Raw foods are way to beneficial to just give up on :)
Very informative post and your message is clear and helpful! (As a gentle aside, I just want to hope that you also promote not wearing leather and I’m sure what you are wearing must not be leather?)
Sincerely,
Tracey
Hi Kimberly, I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks ago – since then I have been pouring over your posts trying to absorb as much of all the great info as possible. I’m in the midst of training to be a yoga teacher and have been trying to clarify the way I eat – just popping over to your blog evryday inspires me to eat fresher and more colour. And this post just makes it all so clear. I love your smoothie recipes. Thanks for sharing. Namaste. Jo (from the UK)
Hey Kim
Can you write something on the best deodorants to use? I find it all so confusing and the “healthy” deodorants I have tried have been terrible so I have reverted to my speed stick…
take care,
Jules
Hi Kimberly
Great post and so very true! I wanted to add my 2 cents though and include the accumulation of too much STUFF/JUNK/CLUTTER in our physical space as another energy suck. I moved across the world about 7 years ago and just the process of cleansing out closets, the garage, etc left me feeling more free and invigorated than ever. I always feel clostrophobic driving past cluttered garages and wonder how much unnecessary STUFF we hold onto and how much positive energy it restricts. Food for thought maybe?
Thank you Kimberly, this is so interesting! I love your blog and your positive attitude on life.
I would like to ask you one question: What do you think about copper iud as a birth control? Is it good for body or does the copper dissolve to your body and affect your health someway? Do I need to eat more zink because of that? At least there are no hormones like in pills. Or what do you think is the best contraceptive? I hope you have time to answer because this is an important issue for many of us. :)
All the best,
Marja from Finland
This is exactly what I needed to read today! I’m on a mission to clean up my elimination channels & you brought everything together in a easy to read blog post! You’re the BESTEST!
THANX!!
Hey, I’ve been browsing your blog and find it very inspirational! I’m busy adventuring with a raw food diet and done yoga for a handful of years now. I guess the two could be drawn towards one another?
How do you manage to take such wonderful pictures of yourself?? Do you have a camera man follow you solely for your blog?
Hi, Kimberly! As for coconut water, which brand would you recommend (if not straight from the coconut)?
Hello! Sorry if my writing is not clear, I’m using an automatic translator, Portuguese to English. I live in Brazil, work with graphic design and practice wushu and Tibetan Reiki Level 2.
You’re absolutely right, energy is everywhere and we must take care of what we eat and think. Many people do not know and become toxic to assume a negative behavior from sadness and pity for himself.
Have good thoughts and see the good in people too are like magnets that attract the best of them.
Actually, there are people who make the poor guys to suck our energy, like vampires, we should not pay attention to the “poor me”
I found this blog by accident, in research on google images attracted my attention.
Since then I’ve been translating some posts. Congratulations, and the content is very rich in useful information on health and nutrition, the photos are wonderful, you’re always smiling and shows great optimism and simplicity.
I especially enjoyed reading that diplomas are not everything, it is in practice one gains knowledge and experience, because we live in a society where they give more value to a paper than to those who have experience and are really good at what they do.
Congratulations and good health!
I tend to sweat a lot so what other option will you recommend in regard to deodorant, anti-perspirant thats is. Cause I need something strong
Hi Kim,
I’ve been following your program about 2 months now and have experienced a lot of detox symptoms. I had a colonic about a month ago and I think it threw me into autointoxication. My skin is breaking out and I have absolutely no energy.
I scheduled another colonic for Friday and am going to get a series this time. My question is, since my city doesn’t have gravity based colonics, is it still okay? What else can I do to feel better? I drink a lot of fresh green and fruit juices as well as eating clean.
Thank you for all you do!
Leah
Do you have a recommendation for a good enema kit that I can use at home? Also, if I’m getting a colonic every 3-4 months, how often should I be doing enemas in the time between?
Remarkable issues here. I’m very happy to see your article. Thanks so much and I am looking ahead to contact you. Will you kindly drop me a mail?
Kimberly,
Where do you get colonics in LA? I live in NYC so I have great access to very talented people, but when I visit LA I don’t want to be without them for too long.
Thanks!
