This week has totally flown by, I can’t believe it is already Friday. You all know what that means #FeatureFriday! I am so excited to share with you Stephanie’s Story!
This week I wanted to highlight the Beauty Detox Transformation Story of Stephanie DiCesare. Stephanie is a wonderful part of our community and I am so happy to be able to share her story with you!
So without further ado, let’s meet Stephanie and hear about her experience!
Stephanie, How long have you been following the Beauty Detox philosophy? Was it easy to incorporate it into your lifestyle?
I started following the Beauty Detox program about five years ago. I was the heaviest I had ever been. I had bronchitis seven time within a year and had such low energy that I would fall asleep at my work desk every day. I lived on fountain soda and thought healthy was eating chocolate chip Quaker granola bars. I also suffered from really embarrassing cystic acne. I had a conversation with a friend who told me that acne can be caused from dairy.
Ultimately, it was vanity that led me to change my lifestyle. I started researching ways to alkalize my body and that’s when I found Kimberly Snyder and her book The Beauty Detox Solution.
It was easy for me to incorporate her suggestions. I knew I wanted a healthier lifestyle but I was so overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start or how to make it happen. I also knew I needed to eliminate gluten from my diet but wasn’t sure what was left for me to actually eat once I did. Beauty Detox provided a clear map for me to get there. It was so tangible, especially seeing a day’s worth of meals all laid out for me. Having the knowledge of how my body processed certain foods was key in helping me get out of the diet mentality and make a lasting lifestyle change.
The first step I took was incorporating a Glowing Green Smoothie into my mornings. I felt so energized! As I began to feel these positive changes I was further motivated to continue.
What is your daily regimen? Give us an example of a typical meal plan and exercise routines.
On a typical day I have a glass of hot lemon water upon waking. Then I have my Probiotics with a quart of room temperature water. I practice kundalini yoga and meditation for 1.5 – 2 hours. By that time I am truly hungry and have at least 24 ounces of my Glowing Green Smoothie. If I need something between breakfast & lunch I’ll have some sprouted buckwheat granola or smashed avocado on a gluten free tortilla or piece of toast.
I like to start my lunch with something green, whether that’s a salad or more GGS and follow with some type of veggie dish. I’m a busy mom on the go so soups are an easy option. Dinner time in our house can vary slightly but i have learned that if I start off with some Probiotic & Enzyme salad (sauerkraut) and then a green salad that I don’t need a huge portion for dinner. I love stir fry or anything with quinoa. My husband will take the leftovers to work for lunch. We also do a lot of veggie burgers, because I can prep extra to freeze for later, with roasted veggies. Anything I can prep ahead to make it easier come dinner time is good!

How do you feel after adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle? What changes have you experienced? How has this impacted your outlook on life?
I feel alive! I have endless energy. I am very in tune with my body and am able to listen to what it needs to best care for it. I feel very blessed to be able to nurture my temple with high energy, living plant foods. The Beauty Detox lifestyle has infinitely raised my vibration and has touched all aspects of my life. Physically I am easily able to maintain a healthy weight without counting numbers for everything I eat. My body is leaner and stronger, my hair is thicker and healthier, and my skin looks better than it has in decades. I very rarely get sick and if I do I recover very quickly. I feel confident. I am no longer prone to anxiety and depression. My mind is clear and positive. I have developed a deep love and appreciation for myself, which makes it easier for me to love and appreciate others.
What words of encouragement do you have for others in the Beauty Detox Community?
Baby steps!! Just focus on making one small change at a time. Pick one goal or principle and once you have easily incorporated it into your regular lifestyle move on to the next. Meal planning and prepping what you can ahead are so helpful to stay on track. Starting your day off strong gives you the momentum to keep going. Lastly, the Beauty Detox Facebook community is hugely supportive. Reach out, find other like minds and use them for knowledge and support when needed.
