Hi Kimberly. First off, many, many thanks for being such an inspiration. My question is – how do I deal with the need to self-medicate with sugar when faced with stress? As soon as work gets difficult (I’m a midwife), I hit the vending machine. It’s a way of soothing my soaring adrenaline levels…makes me feel happy for a short time, then I hate myself for letting myself down (again). Help!

When I get cravings, they’re really intense. Not only do I constantly think about what I’m craving, I get a little shaken, and sweat a little. Why? Its really hard to resist my cravings like this.
