It is almost time for Cinco De Mayo! It’s a super fun holiday, and you can enjoy it yet avoid feeling bloated and super heavy. That is certainly not celebratory!! In this post, I rounded up a few of my favorite Mexican-themed recipes for you to try, that will help you feel great as you celebrate and have fun!! Si to that :).

Mexican food is actually a great cuisine to cater to the Beauty Detox lifestyle! It’s full of avocades, beans and veggies, lending itself perfectly to Mexican favorites that include veggies, guacamole, a bean-free bean dip, salsa, and yes, even veggies tacos.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how easy it will be for you to celebrate with some really easy dishes that are not only crowd-pleasers, but super-filling and healthy!

Some staples for Mexican food are Guacamole, Salsa and Refried Beans! For something quick you can create these 3-5 sides and pair them with some gluten free flat bread (such as Sonoma brand teff wraps).  I toss mine in the oven for a few minutes to get crispy, then I cut them up into little triangles to look like chips. You can also pair these dishes with a variety of veggie sticks for a colorful tray and loads of nutrients!
