Who is ready for a new smoothie recipe? I know I am! Even though the season is getting chilly, I still love a naturally sweet smoothie from time to time. My new Feel Beautiful Gogji Berry Persimmon Smoothie recipe is one that you can enjoy for a quick beauty pick me up, before jetting off to a holiday party. Smoothies are just so easy for us to digest and are loaded with so many beauty nutrients. I hope your taste buds are filled with delight sipping on my Gogi Berry Persimmon Smoothie because I created it to help you feel beautiful all winter long.
Do you know what fruit has a full 18 different kinds of amino acids? Goji Berries! Yes, that’s right! Keep your eye out for these small little red berries at your local health food store because they pack a powerful punch. Goji berries are full of antioxidants, B vitamins, and polysaccharides too.
When I am looking for an extra boost I will sprinkle a tablespoon of goji berries in my smoothie and call it a day!
It’s hard to feel beautiful when you are stressed out or feeling anxious. It’s even harder to feel your most beautiful self when you are super fatigued and feeling lethargic. Luckily goji berries can help us fight these uncomfortable symptoms.
Goji berries can help us bring forward our most beautiful self. Why is this the case you might wonder? Well, Goji berries contain adaptogens. And adaptogens increase our resistance to things like anxiety and exhaustion. Thank you goji berries!
During the fall and winter time, one of my all time favorite fruit is persimmons. On the west coast, we can only find them in the season for such a short period. So by the time this season rolls around I am always on the lookout for a vibrant persimmon or two!
Now if you are wondering, ‘what in the world is a persimmon’ it’s time you venture out and try one! Persimmons are a golden orange fruit, oval in shape and they are absolutely delicious. When you let them get nice and soft they are sweet and so flavorful and are loaded with beautifying nutrients.
It’s important to note beauties that there are two types of persimmons, and one of those can be more on the bitter side if you don’t let it ripen enough.
The Fuyu persimmon looks like a flat oval and it is the sweeter of the two. Fuyu persimmons can be enjoyed when they are a little firm or when they are nice and soft.
On the other hand, Hachiya persimmons look more closely to an apple in shape, and you are going to want to avoid eating these until they are soft. These persimmons only get sweet when they are very ripe.
Persimmons are such an amazing beauty fruit! Just one single persimmon contains 80% of your daily requirements of vitamin C. Can you believe that?! They are also loaded with vitamins A, B, and E.
