Are you hosting Christmas dinner this year? If you are in search of some Vegan Christmas Recipes than look no further! The holidays are such a beautiful and festive time of year, but it can be really busy and stressful for us too. I know how much work it is to get the house ready for guests while trying to put together an entire vegan menu. So, instead of letting your mind spin with all the different things that you can make this holiday, I’ve done the leg work for you.
Take a look at my list of vegan Christmas recipes I’ve rounded up for you below. I’ve got a four-course meal all planned out for you, plus an elixir that your company will adore!
Start your Christmas dinner off right with a festive, Pomegranate Kale Salad. This gorgeous holiday salad is loaded with amazing health benefits and delicious flavor! And bonus points, it’s rich with holiday cheer! Bursting pops of sweet pomegranate, refreshing kale, and nutty Brussels sprouts, you might just want to make a double batch so you’re guaranteed some leftovers for the next day. :)
It’s such a gift to fill your plate with rich amounts of healthy fiber. And this vegan Christmas recipe offers just that! Kale and Brussels sprouts come beautifully packed with a great deal of fiber. In fact, just one serving of this salad will provide you with around 5 grams of fiber. According to the American Heart Association, we need to consume around 25 grams per day. Serve my Pomegranate Kale Salad up and you’re already a fifth of the way done to hit your fiber goals. What a wonderful gift that is!
One other reason why you don’t want to miss out on this salad – it’s stacked with a great amount of omega-3’s. Thank you Brussels sprouts! Just one and a half cups of Brussels sprouts contain more than one-third of your daily ALA amount. How incredible right!? That’s exactly why I’ve included them in my Pomegranate Kale Salad recipe. It’s something we can all feel pleased about this Christmas.
By enjoying my Pomegranate Kale Salad recipe, you and your guests are going to fill up with tons of fiber and vital nutrients that promote feeling good in body, mind, and spirit. And that is what the holidays are all about.
When providing 4 courses of vegan Christmas recipes, after finishing up my Pomegranate Kale Salad what better thing to offer than a warming flavorful soup? And let me explain, my Easy-Dairy Free Broccoli Soup is a wonderfully simple soup to prepare and provide!
We need all the help we can get in optimizing our digestion, especially during the holidays! Optimal digestion really is the key to improving our body’s detoxification system and avoiding inflammatory issues in the process. And Beauties, broccoli actually contains a special trio of digestive aids that help support all the steps in the body’s detoxing process. Glucoraphanin, gluconasturtiian, and glucobrassicin are three glucosinolate phytonutrients that help activate, neutralize, and eliminate unwanted contaminants in our systems! This Easy-Dairy Free Broccoli Soup will not only nourish your body, but it will keep digestion on track!
If you are only going to eat salad and soup for dinner, you can add in sprouted brown rice or quinoa to make this a full meal in itself. But being that this is the holidays, with another course on the vegan Christmas recipe list, I would say forgo the rice for a different time.
Now onto the main course! All too often decadent rich casseroles or gluten-filled pasta take all the light as the main entree for a vegan meal. Where is the fun in that!? This Christmas, make my crowd-pleasing favorite, Spicy Beauty Stuffed Eggplant recipe. It’s a beautiful main dish for a healthy holiday meal. Plus, it’s easy to put together and delightfully filled with nutritious flavor. What’s more, it’s also packed with beautifying benefits. Yes please!
Eggplant comes in all shapes and sizes. So you can prepare a variety of these beauties and let your guests choose which size works best for them. They will be getting an array of beauty B-complex vitamins such as pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and thiamin (vitamin B1), niacin (B3) with every bite!
This nightshade veggie works great with my body but it’s not for everyone. If you or one of your guests have an autoimmune condition or another condition you can substitute eggplant for acorn squash or zucchini instead. Stuffed veggies are just so delicious that it’s perfectly fine to swap out one for the other.
What’s important to remember this holiday is that we all respond to foods differently. So listen to your body and ask your guests if they have any dietary restrictions before preparing this dish for them. I am sure they will thank you for the gesture and you will receive major brownie points for putting so much thought into everyone!
Want one more Vegan Christmas recipes to add to your list? I thought so! With any amazing 4 course meal, always remember to save a little room for dessert. Because well, we all deserve to treat ourselves from time to time. Especially during the holidays. What’s important is that we treat ourselves to foods that have zero processed sugar and minimal bloating effects. Like my Raw Chocolate Covered Almond Donut Holes.
These perfect sized bites are such a delightful treat to share with friends, because who doesn’t love donuts right!? Made up of almonds, cacao, coconut, and dates, they are the right amount of sweet and savory without the sugar overload. Your guests will thank you for it this Christmas.
No one wants to feel guilty about eating dessert. Now they don’t have to. What’s great about this healthy dessert option is that it actually promotes feelings of love, joy, and happiness rather than the sugar rushes that other chocolates provide. That’s because my Raw Chocolate Covered Almond Donut Holes recipe uses raw cacao and not straight cocoa. Yes, there is a difference. You certainly can use cocoa here, however, it may contain added sugar or other sweeteners. On the other hand, cacao is the raw form of the cacao bean, which is less processed. It has more powerful antioxidant effects and health benefits. Health benefits and dessert, now you don’t hear that very often. :)
Your vegan Christmas recipe list isn’t complete without something to drink. But don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. My Cinnamon Clementine Elixir is the perfect festive drink to serve up this holiday. Filled with a delightful holiday aroma and immunity-boosting powers, you may want to keep this spice-filled elixir brewing all season long.
