Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup uncooked brown or Basmati rice
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • ½ tsp. Himalayan sea salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp. coconut oil
  • 1 tsp. black mustard seed
  • 1 tsp. whole cumin seeds
  • ¼ of white onion sliced
  • ½ tsp. turmeric powder
  • ¼ cup cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • Cook the rice in water and set to the side. Season with the lime and sea salt. This is the base.
  • Heat the coconut oil in a pan, and cook the mustard seeds until they pop. Add the cumin seeds and cook for a few minutes. Next, add the white onion, turmeric and cilantro, and mix well. Add the rice on top and mix in. Serve fresh.
