My Pineapple Sprout Glowing Green Smoothie Recipe is packed with vital amino acids to build protein in your body, loaded with countless valuable nutrients, and has the tropical flavor of sweet and tart from the pineapple. Itās an awesome GGS mixup for you to work into your rotation!
Letās check out this new versionā¦
Pineapple
As you might have guessed, I think pineapples are one of THE most delicious fruits ever! This fruit not only hydrates but is packed with bromelain. Bromelain helps promote optimal digestion, which youāve heard me say a million times (but hereās one more!)ā¦is key for truly supporting you in expressing your natural beauty.
Pineapple helps the body naturally detoxify itself and lose weight. The bromelain enzyme it contains is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce the onset of aging, pain and even disease.
What About Sprouts?
Pure and simple, sprouts come from soaking vegetable, bean, or grain seeds until they begin to root and sprout. Sprouts are the ābaby plantsā that contain the highest concentration and bioavailability of nutrients.
Talk about nutrients! These little guys improve digestion, increase enzymatic activity throughout the body, boost skin health, and increase usable energy reserves, to name just a few.

An important thing to note is that much of the nutritive value of sprouts is lost when they are heated. While other veggies can be enjoyed cooked, sprouts are delicate little guys that should always be added to your smoothie or meals in their raw form. This will guarantee that they have the most impact.
There are a variety of types, ranging from bean sprouts to spicy sprouts from radishes (in this recipe I use clover sprouts but you can choose just about any kind you find or like). You can usually find sprouts at your local grocery stores, co-ops, and your local farmerās market (and if you feel like putting on your quasi-gardenerās hat, you can grow them yourself!).
Greens have more valuable nutrients than any other food group on the planet!
With all this talk about nutrients, we need to ensure we are receiving whatās encased inside each plant cellā which means we need to rupture through these cell walls. Letās face it, most of us donāt chew their foods down enough. And who really wants to or has time to chew for hours and hours?
This is why blending can be our best friend. Blending helps our body absorb the maximum amount of nutrition from the greens we consume. This is why my Glowing Green SmoothieĀ® has always been my go-to breakfast that I drink every day, so why not make it a part of your daily life as well, starting with this one here!

Prepare your ingredients.

Add the filtered water, spinach and clover sprouts to the blender.

Starting the blender on a low speed, blend until smooth. If needed gradually increase to higher speeds and blend just until smooth being careful not to overheat the smoothie.

Add the pineapple and lemon juice and blend again.

Taste, if more sweetness is desired, up to a whole banana may be added and blended again until smooth.

Enjoy!
Greens supply the protein to build the ginormous bulky muscles of the gorillas in the wild (which Iāve been lucky enough to see during my journey to Rwanda!). And they can also supply you with powerful hair, skin, health and energy building blocks also.
And remember, by blending our greens, this will ensure we are receiving the full spectrum of nutritionā readily available to to our bodies! ;)
