The Story Behind the Now-Famous Glowing Green Smoothie® (GGS)
Learning about the power of plants, especially greens, and digestion changed my life. After studying nutrition, teaching yoga, and training at the Ann Wigmore Institute, I began experimenting with blending as a way to support digestion while keeping fiber intact.
In my tiny NYC apartment, I blended water, spinach, and a ripe banana. This became the first version of what is now known as the Glowing Green Smoothie® (GGS). I shared it on my blog and with students, and it spread naturally.
What makes GGS special is its simple, balanced formula: 70% greens, 30% high-fiber fruit, always including lemon, and water. It is powerful, accessible, and delicious.
