So many of you ask me about what I use and love, so I want to start sharing more of that more regularly. I love to share about what I love and I know is beneficial!
Today I wanted to highlight my love for my infrared sauna. I love it very much, and actually use mine most every day (that I am in LA). I have researched many infrared saunas and this one is unlike any other. I wanted to share some of the reasons why this sauna is different, and what I think it’s such a great investment for your body, health and all around beauty. My mom has one now too!
I wouldn’t promote them like I do if it wasn’t something I really use and think is extremely useful and beneficial. It is an investment for sure, but one that will pay you back in spades. If you have a tiny corner in your living room, bathroom or bedroom (or anywhere), this little half sauna is an in-home spa treatment you can constantly use after a long day of work or to start your day.
(Plus, I don’t like being cold. I also love it because it’s so snuggly and warm. Even in LA, the temperatures drop in the evenings, and I know how MUCH more cold it might be where you are!).
With the holidays, it might be a bigger gift to give yourself, your spouse (so you can use also) or your entire family !
First of all, it’s awesome for amping up your detoxification BUT your face and hands are out of the sauna, which is awesome, so you can be on you laptop or reading! The delicate skin of your face and hair is also not exposed to the heat when using this compact at home sauna- which some aestheticians may argue is drying for your skin. And because of these reasons, it’s super functional. I use it while I’m doing other things, so using it becomes part of my life.
I have talked about this amazing infrared sauna previously but I feel it is so vital for everyone to be aware of the wonderful health and beauty benefits that I wanted to remind everyone of my obsession with it! You may be thinking to yourself how can I benefit from using a infrared sauna personally (which is WAY different than a regular sauna)? Why the heck would I get one?
Well, I am going to highlight some of the potential beauty benefits here again!
Reduction in appearance of cellulite – The deep penetration of infrared heat (versus a regular old sauna) can help mobilize heavy metals and toxins out of your fat cells, which can contribute to the appearance of cellulite. The heaters are targeted at your thighs, hips, belly and your entire legs. Infrared sauna may be helpful in our quest to lose weight and that pesky cellulite! Stagnant pockets of fat can be storehouses for chemical toxins- and the more toxins accumulate in our bodies, our bodies will often create more fat to store the toxins. YIKES!! Scary but true! As we shed these chemical toxins, our fat can shrink (phew!). Cellulite is really made up of fat, acidic waste, and trapped water. The infrared sauna can help stimulate these areas- but to really target cellulite you have to also incorporate some dietary changes of course.
Detoxification — By improving circulation and promoting elimination via the skin, detoxification (especially of fat soluble toxins) can be greatly accelerated…In our unit the heaters are targeted not only at the lower body, but at your mid-section, right on your digestive organs.
Weight Loss Potential — The more you detoxify, the less your body needs to store fat as a way to protect your organs from dangerous toxins. Also, the sauna can help you burn some calories each day, though the exact amount of calories burned during a session can vary widely…
Pain Reduction — There have been some promising studies that have shown the potential of infrared to help reduce pain through the increase of heat and circulation in key areas. I’ve personally noticed I get far less sore after my yoga practices since I started using the sauna…
I also find my sauna very relaxing and soothing. I used to use it more in the mornings, but to be honest, I love it now more in the evenings, after a long day. I go from my sauna into the shower then into the bed.
There’s nothing better than passive detoxing! With all the anti-cellulite and anti-aging benefits, I would urge you to treat yourself or your family to one, for this new year. You will feel great- not to mention with the cold it’s sooo nice to climb into something warm and toasty.
It’s an investment (around $1800), but well worth it, for now and the years to come. And it’s pretty small and unobtrusive (though the wood is beautiful, and comes from non-living cedar trees, no living trees were ever cut in making these!). It’s the highest quality you can source, making it the most effective.
If you’re choosing between getting yourself a nice handbag or this, I would say go for what helps you look and feel better, rather than what you just put on or wear. Health is wealth! Invest in yourself.
Hope you enjoyed my little infrared sauna journey, of me sharing one of my greatest obsessions!
See you soon.
Lots of love,
Kimberly
Hi Kimberly,
Can I get the same results by using the infrared sauna at a facility such as ReleaseNYC? I did some research and found that they offer this service at a low cost per hour. I’ve never used infrared sauna and look forward to reaping the benefits. I plan on booking an appointment soon!
Many blessings!
Xxx, Natalie
Hello I’m curious as to the research that says cellulite is fat and acidic waste? What would the acidic western be? Lactic acid? Just curious to see if you can answer the question.
If you eat. Healthy diet-exercise and weight training-you won’t have cellulite…
Which brand do you have? And where can I find a similar one?
Hey Jen, We actually carry the sauna on my blog under the shop section. There will be more information there for you on the sauna! =)
Hi Kimberly,
I live in London and would like to purchase one of your infrared sauna however I noticed you don’t ship in the UK. Could you please advise?
Many thanks
