Itâs time to get our pucker on with this amazingly delicious new smoothieâmy Tangy Key Lime Smoothie Recipe. With more holiday eating around the corner, itâs a great time to give our immune system a boost and our guts a healthy dose of love.
Packed with fruits I love, plus the juice from the zesty lime, youâll be wide awake to handle the rest of your holiday shopping!
So what is so great aboutâŠ
Limes?
Well, you know how much I love my lemons, and just like those yellow-fellows (that really are a true Beauty Detox Food staple we can not live without!), limes have loads of vitamin C and enzymes, and cleansing properties.
Why do we need to practice ongoing cleansing do you ask? Because exogenous toxins, or those coming from the outer environment- from air pollution, contaminants in the food and water supply, etc. are constantly being assailed upon us.
And even if somehow you lived in a little bubble and had no exogenous toxins coming your way (which is pretty much impossible in todayâs world!), there are all those endogenous toxins, which are the ones created internally from the natural bi-products of metabolism and cell renewal!
The more we can help support your bodyâs own natural cleansing properties, the better.

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 mango
- Œ inch of ginger peeled
- 1 large banana frozen
- Œ cup kale
Directions
- Add all ingredients to blender. Starting the blender on a low speed, blend until smooth. If needed gradually increase to higher speeds and blend until smooth.
