Super Green Acai Beauty Bowl Recipe
Sometimes itâs so nice to eat things with a spoon. Iâm a HUGE soup lover and I love bowls myself!
My new recipe, the Super Green Acai Beauty Bowl makes us slow down, spoon it up (and chew) every single bite. Itâs super satisfying (canât wait for you to try it for yourself!). Plus the filling, healthy fat and antioxidants from the acai and the rich minerals and protein from the spirulina will help make this bowl one of your favorite beauty treats.
Letâs talk ingredientsâŠ
Acai
Because acai is a fatty fruit (and happens to be naturally sugar-free), it takes longer to digest and is one of the few fruits I use in desserts. Acai helps brighten skin, fight harmful organisms, assists in losing and/or maintaining a healthy weight and promotes skin health.
Consuming acai also keeps our digestive system clean and functioning optimally. This is because the berries have powerful detoxification capacities in the human body and are a well-known traditional source of dietary fiber.

Acai can be purchased frozen in health stores. My fav is the Sambazon Unsweetened Acai Smoothie Packets, which is made from delicious, organic acai, wild-harvested from the heart of the Amazon!
Spirulina
Iâve been a long-term promoter of spirulina, which is an incredible wonder food. Forget why was I so excited about it? Hereâs a little reminderâŠ
Spirulina is one of the most complete food sources in the world with over 100 nutrients and 60% amino acids to build protein (itâs made of simple amino acids and so is not considered a dense, concentrated protein). It not only supports our cardiovascular system, and eye and brain health, but boosts our immunity and energy too.
It contains the highest levels of carotenoids and antioxidants known to promote health and longevity. Itâs also an excellent protein and nutrient source for those on a plant-based diet.
One brand you can find in many places is the only spirulina farm in Hawaii, called Nutrex and can also be found here. This company has been cultivating spirulina continuously for over 25 years with Hawaiian deep sea water containing 94 trace minerals in a BioSecure zone free from pollution. That sounds pretty amazing for all of us Beauties who are trying to avoid toxins wherever we can!
NOW all that exciting health info being saidâŠit is true that you need to balance the taste of spirulina (which is admittedly a little algae-ish if taken in too large a quantity or not combined well! ) delicately, which I do for you here. :)
So letâs get to it!

Prepare your ingredients.

Add your almond milk, spinach, and kale to blender and blend until mixed well.

Next, add your acai, banana, and spirulina and blend.

Scrape down sides of blender if needed.

Pour acai purée into a bowl, then add toppings and enjoy!
This Beauty bowl doubles as a great snack or dessert. This is a no fuss recipe that anyone can make!
Give this recipe a tryâŠ
Happy blending and donât forget to add this to your Pinterest Snack & Desserts board!
All my love,
Kimberly

Make time for yourself and your body will thank you! ;)
