Not only is it energizing, beautifying, and easy to digest, but also it is a great thing to eat if you are trying to lose a little weight. It is such a lovely recipe to add to your winter routine of meals, with color as rich and vibrant as it tastes! I am a huge fan of soup, so I am extra excited to share my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe with you today. Here is another great recipe to have in your soup repertoire, perfect for this season!
Liquids with Dinner
Let me start off by asking you a question. Do you know that when you consume liquids with your meals, you are actually diluting the hydrochloric acid in your stomach? I am talking about all that digestive juice your body needs to help process the foods you are eating. And we really need all the digesting power we can get!
When you have too much liquid with your meal you may actually be putting your body at a disservice. Having liquids, like soups for example, while you are eating solid foods may actually encourage weight gain. Yikes!!! So if you are wanting to serve my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe, with something else, make absolutely sure that you eat it at the beginning of your meal. Ideally, leave around 10 minutes before you put anything else into your mouth.

The Balancing Act
Now Beauties, my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe really is amazing for balancing out your root chakra. Your root chakra, known as your first chakra, is such an important chakra to focus on, as it lays the foundation for all your energy systems. Your root chakra relates to your most basic survival needs. If you don’t feel safe in your own body, then your body and emotions may try to establish other imbalances that can put you out.
Beets, carrots and sweet potatoes, grown right in the earth are the most balancing for your root chakra. By roasting them together and adding them into my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup you will feel particularly grounding energy. When I am feeling out of balance, I love to consume these types of foods that help me feel grounded and rooted. Connecting with your food in this way can be very healing for your entire system.
Another way to heal your entire system with my Feel Good Starter Kit. With our supplement bundle, you can kick-start your detox regimen and improve your overall gut health! We have combined our feel good SBO probiotics, our new and improved feel good detoxy 2.0 and our feel good digestive enzymes to help you achieve digestive harmony and feel good doing it.
Brilliantly Beautiful Beets
Beets are brilliantly beautiful in color. For my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe, I chose to use red beets but you certainly can use yellow if you would prefer. What’s interesting to note is that the red coloring of beets comes from the pigment betacyanin. This so happens to stimulate liver functions as well as oxygenate the blood. Beets assist in healthy red blood cell formation. They are a critical asset in helping to distribute oxygen through your body. Eating beets can actually help increase the oxygen-carrying ability of your blood but up to 400%. That’s major!
Did you know that these tasty gems are also a natural colon cleanser? If you are looking for extra assistance in removing toxins from your body and congestion out of your system, beets should be your go-to. And when we remove congestion from our systems, our eyes become clearer and our skin becomes brighter. Plus, beets are extremely alkaline and filled with antioxidants. They are an amazing root veggie to consume if you are overly acidic. When you get your body in balance and eat foods like beets, your skin can truly begin to shine with that glowing complexion you so deserve. Beets are a brilliant veggie to enjoy, working on your inner and outer beauty in so many ways.
Splendidly Sweet Potatoes
I just love the naturally creamy and sweet taste of sweet potatoes. These gems are easily digested because they are low in sugar and high in fiber. Plus, they pair really well with other roots veggies, which is why they work so well in my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe.
I also absolutely love the splendid orange color of the sweet potato. Their color so happens to be an indicator of their high levels of carotenoids and beta-carotene. Our bodies use beta-carotene to convert into vitamin A. And luckily this power potato is an amazing source of vitamin C, too. Pairing these two vitamins is like a high end facial. Together these vitamins work to neutralize cell tissues, magically brightening your skin!
Do you know what vegetable is said to be good for the health of your spleen, stomach, and kidneys? Chinese medicine believes eating carrots is the key. Natural healers have also long believed that carrots possess a strong cleansing property. They are effective at cleansing the liver and helping to remove toxins from your blood. When our blood is cleaner then it is better able to move throughout in the body. And when our blood runs smoothing, nutrients are better dispersed throughout the body.
One of the most important things about making a delicious recipe for you is using ingredients with tons of amazing nutrients. Nutrients like vitamins A, C and K are just a few that carrots provide. They also contain calcium, potassium, iron, fiber and biotin. All of the best things to achieve beautiful glowing skin and strong, shiny hair! This orange root veggie contains some of the best anti-aging and beautifying properties we can ever ask for. So feel free to add a few extra into your Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe. It will only make your soup taste that much better!
Simplicity of Soup
Making my Creamy Roasted Sweet Beetroot Soup recipe is rather simple. Simply add your beets and sweet potato to a baking sheet and roast them up for about 30 minutes. For the last 10 minutes, you will want to add your carrots to the pan too. After you finish roasting all your veggies, you’ll need to add them into your soup pot with your spices and then puree your soup to your desired consistency. Lastly, add in your coconut milk and you are good to go. Easy, right?
You can even double the ingredients and freeze half your soup for a busy day when you don’t have time to cook. It is always nice to have homemade delicious meals on hand and ready to enjoy. I think the winter season is such a fun time to make new foods and I hope you find time to enjoy doing so.
