Okay, letās talk about this topic. First of all, we broke down a lock a little bit. We all have limited beliefs, first of all, which has to do with what are we identifying with? So a lot of our

limited beliefs come because we are identifying with the surface of what we look like, what weāve created in the past, what we see right now in our present life. And so these limited beliefs come about because weāre really in the past and the past is sort of creating ideas about the future. So as we start to get into our tools in just a moment, we want to realize that right now here in this
spaciousness when we learn to tap underneath right here, right now is where our point of power is. And so we hear about this sometimes may seem a little vague, the power of now or be in the now. But today, when we get to the tip section of our show, Iām going to leave you with some really tangible ways to come below the surface. And that is a huge part of this unlocking process.
The next part of our title, which contains so much information, is prosperity and abundance. So usually when we think about abundance, weāre thinking about just money. Money is a form of energy, but energy is energy, right? Energy runs through all things. So we can think about an abundance of vitality and energy in our lives, an abundance of friendship, of deep connections.
abundance of wonderful experiences and abundance of wonderful moments, wonderful days, helpful people, growth in our career and fulfillment in that way, an abundance of peace and acceptance. So abundance is really about this overflowingness, I would say, of goodness in this now moment.
So thereās a lot in that as well. It means what is here now. So some of the steps that weāll talk about unlocking this are really about tapping in, getting out of the head, getting more into the now -ness that is here, that is available to all of us. And this is a big, again, this is a code to crack, but once we start to learn more and more about this, we start to really feel.

that, wow, there is so much potential here. Life is not as hard. Life is actually abundant. I am abundant. And so we want to change our mindset, which means going deeper, deeper in. And itās been my experience that we may have these moments, these epiphanies of realizing, but we need to live this lifestyle. We need to reinforce our abundance mindset day in and day out so that we donāt fall back into feeling limited, we donāt fall back into our own mindset, which holds us back and holds back our prosperity.
Question around the topic of: How to Let Go of Limiting Beliefs to Unlock Prosperity and Abundance: I feel so stuck when it comes to my beliefs around money. I feel like others deserve a better life than me and know this is hindering me from moving forward with my own business. Can you share your thoughts on what I can be doing better?
So our question today comes from Bev, who lives in Washington. Bev, thank you so much for asking your question today. You write, it seems like Iām always struggling to make ends meet and itās been going on for so long that part of me has accepted it. I want to make a shift and let go of old patterns and beliefs.
that have held me back and bring abundance into my life. What can I do?
Research and Studies
So I want to get into my tips here, but first I just want to give a little bit of research, which shows that first of all, it is possible to shift. We all hear about when you shift your mindset, when you shift your thoughts, you shift your life. I would go even deeper than that and say underneath the thoughts, thereās energy.
Thereās coherence in your body, meaning aligning up with your deeper centers, your guts, your heart. When we line that up, then the thoughts change, then our energy changes, then we become more magnetic and radiant. And this can all be taught, as weāll talk about here in a moment. There is neuroplasticity as well, which shows that literally we can rewire our brain as one of the factors that shows that we are making deeper changes.
This was a study in the Association of Psychological Science that found that over our lives, our personalities can change. And what was important was greater resilience and willingness to embrace challenges. And then our perspectives, our approach to life were able to change. There was a neuroplasticity, which is change in the neuron pathways, which can be witnessed in the brain, of course, but other places in the body also contain neurons.

This can change over our life. So if youāre sitting here listening to this saying, well, Iāve struggled with abundance my whole life. Iāve experienced a lot of lack. Donāt worry. Starting today, today is a new day and all days going forward. So we can start to create great change going forward. So study in the perspectives of Psychological Science Journal found that the mechanisms of action for mindfulness meditation and highlighted its effects.
its effects on attention regulation, emotional regulation, and self -awareness. It said that these mindfulness techniques, again, mindfulness isnāt my favorite word, I like to say self -awareness, facilitated the release of limiting beliefs and promoted psychological well -being. So weāre going to talk about that as well, being more aware of what have we been programmed to believe as truth? Where is my programming?
And then we can start to dismantle it once we are aware that, wow, I donāt actually have to believe this. This actually isnāt true. This is something that Iāve been led to believe, and I donāt have to reinforce that anymore.
08:14 Challenging Limiting Beliefs
A study by the American Psychological Association in 2005 examined the impact of mindset interventions on academic achievement. And it found that teaching adolescents a growth mindset improved academic performance compared to those with a fixed mindset, believing that they had innate, unchangeable abilities. So these are some of the measurable ways that we can show that, wow,
prosperity and abundance, success, performance can change despite what our past results have been. And I like to bring this up because I think that sometimes we do think that this is my lot in life or this is my ceiling or my, you know, my walls. Like this is how much I can create. And I can share from my own experience. I know what thatās like. I remember coming back from my trip.

and struggling to make a certain amount of money every month. And I had my budget and my rent and I, you know, I could only take a certain amount of classes and still pay for rent and buy food and do all sorts of things. And it felt like it was very hard to break out of that and to make a leap, an exponential leap, not an incremental, but an exponential leap. I remember feeling like, is this my life? Is this, you know,
10:10 Tapping into Deeper Energy Within
This is why I was going to struggle this way. And so Iāll share with you, which brings us to where we are here today, where my life started to change and why Iām so passionate about sharing this today is I started to practice Kriya yoga, which is not just bodily movement, but itās a type of meditation which takes you into your spine, takes you into the deepest parts of you. And this was brought forward by Paramahansa Yogananda, whoās had such a huge impact on my life.
And when I started going into this deeper part of me in this moment, not saying when I have a higher degree or when, when, when, future, future, future. But right now I started to tap into a different, letās say, letās call it dimension of energy within us, right? Thereās layers. The OVC have talked about physical layer and then thereās the
different koshas. Thereās the causal, thereās the astral, thereās all these layers of energy. And this is something we can all experience. Itās not esoteric. If you can just feel down into your body right now, or Eckhart Tolle talks about feeling the aliveness in your fingers, in your toes, a sense of tingling, a sense of tapping into vitality, we know that there are layers of energy. So if we want to change our abundance going
forward. It means that we donāt want to feel limited by what we have created so far, aka the past. abundance and other topics about tapping into this true self -energy. But the first thing, Iām going to leave you some tangible tips right here and now, is to learn to go deeper in this moment. And this is a skill that we can all cultivate more and more over time. So letās make it really practical. What are the deeper parts of me? Well, we can start with the parts of us that also have neurons, neurotransmitters, little brains, and that would be the heart.
and the gut. So you can literally start to in the morning take some deep belly breaths put one hand on your heart one hand on your belly feel your heartbeat and start to focus on the breath and the heartbeat and get out of the thoughts get out of the limitedness of your thoughts and go deeper into your body. So deep down in the physical body thereās
13:00 Practicing Self-Awareness and Visualization
Again, embodiment means weāre here in this moment. This helps us to break these egoic ideas of identifying, this is my salary, this is who I am, this is what I look like, this is how I have to age, this is how much money I make. We wanna go below the ego, the thoughts, the voice of self down in the head and go deeper, deeper down. So this is one of the reasons, the spaciousness of this moment, which we can cultivate in more regular meditation.
is a key way to get past limited beliefs because weāre in this, whoa, this energy that canāt be put into a box. It canāt be deduced down to a set of numbers, how much we weigh, how many calories weāve eaten, how old we are. Itās down inside of us. So please spend a couple moments in the morning going into your body. Now we have guided meditations on the site.
and the practical enlightenment meditations, which go along with the last book, thereās affirmations that are included. And soon Iāll be putting up my Heart Aligned meditation tracks, which we just did a study on, which is really about using your heart to get out of the head and to create more of this incredible now -ness from the heart space out. Itās gonna go out into the body, into the head, into the gut, everywhere and just create a very different energy.

So we want to go in and find the spaciousness regularly, even if itās five, 10 minutes in the morning. After weāre in that spaciousness, this is the time that I like to do two things. I like to say positive affirmations, and then I like to visualize what it is that I want to create. Now, when it comes to affirmations, we need to be in this spaciousness, otherwise we can say,
I am abundant, I am this or that. And if we donāt believe it, itās like weāre lying to ourselves. So we wanna be in the spaciousness where the mind and the thoughts have settled down. And then we can choose a very simple affirmation. I am peaceful or I am abundant today. And right, we can break it down a little bit more. Abundant today, right here, right now. In the book, I have a chapter on this. We wanna say it out loud.
I am abundant today. Feel it in the body. And then we could say a little bit softer, Iām abundant today. Iām abundant. And then whisper and then silently. Okay, so weāre taking it out here from the audible into the integration in our body. And then after that, I like to visualize. Now we had a podcast guest here.
Iām spacing on the name of the book, but it was a scientific book with lots of, it was co -written with a scientist about, and Iāll link to it in the show notes. I totally spaced, but it was all about the science of visualization and how that actually did create outcomes. And they worked with Martina Navratilova and Olympians. And it was using visualization in this more sensory way.
where weāre able to taste, smell, feel what itās like when you get that job or when you feel this health in your body, what it would be like in this more rounded out way, right? Not just in a flatness, but in this fullness of life. So after you do your affirmations and youāre sitting in that spaciousness, you can start to visualize one or a few of your goals. What would it really be like? What would itā¦

feel like and sit in that for a few moments. Now, thatās the daily practice of energetically sort of stepping into this nowness. The issue is, and letās be real here, a lot of us get up in our head, we start to feel the self -doubt. So the next part of this, and I bring this up second, is that self -awareness, which is so important to be aware of what are the limiting beliefs.
So sometimes when we go into this, we start to come across, yeah, right, or how am I really gonna do this, or this isnāt gonna really happen. And so hereās where the journal, whereās my journal, becomes really helpful to keep around. These are the things that you wanna write down. Wow, my ego doesnāt believe that I really can be the creator of this business, or my head is telling me that I canāt really go back to my pre -pregnancy body.
16:54 Acceptance and Openness to Life
or whatever the limiting beliefs are, write them down. So you bring them out of the subconscious, right? Very Carl Jung, bring them out of the shadows. Letās see what these are. Write them down so then you can challenge them. When you write them down, I used to have this limited belief, I donāt think I could make a certain amount of money, right? Past this, you know, this small salary. And then I would sit with it and Iād say, is that really true?
And then the logical, rational part of us may say, well, Iām looking around and I see other people making more money and I donāt think that theyāre necessarily smarter than me. So maybe there is a way. And then the deeper intuitive part of me says, I know that I have this energy inside of me. I know that I can figure this out. Right. So we want to start to challenge these these beliefs, but itās so important that we bring them out.
we can really ask the question, what is the opposite of this belief? This is very Byron Katie, where we switch our thoughts on their head. She says, whatever your thought is, say the opposite. So instead of saying, I canāt make more than this amount of money, the opposite is, of course I can make more than this amount of money. And then you can feel that unlimited.

If weāre in this allness that is the universe, that is creation, it means that anything is possible. So we want to pull those limited beliefs out and then we want to look at the opposite. We want to shift them. And this doesnāt happen overnight, right? So weāre doing two things at once. Weāre seeing itās like this push -pull, this tug this way. Eh, I donāt know. But then we start to challenge.
And then we start to experience deeper and deeper, more consistently when we meditate this spaciousness. Even in a 10 minute meditation, if you have 30 seconds of touching that non -thinking that no mind, what Buddhists call the no mind, this incredibleness, this is abundance. And then what the Tao says, that which cannot be named, itās this.
feeling, itās this experience, no gap, no separation between us and anything else, no one else, then we realize we can create. Itās like this painter that we are, this incredible, huge canvas with unlimited paints. But we have to experience that energy. There in my, to my knowledge, thereās no way to really get around it. Otherwise weāre locked in a container.
19:34 Experiencing the Spaciousness of Now
We put ourselves in boxes of this is what I think is possible, then that is whatās possible, right? This is what is my identity. This is what Iām gonna look like. This is what my career is gonna be. Iām just this, Iām that. So thereās a lot out there about positive thinking and positive mindset. And I think on days where we have more energy or weāre feeling good or maybe things are going a little bit better in our life, we can drum up the willpower.
to try to force our thoughts to be positive. But itās my experience that that can feel fake and forced and there isnāt a lot of energy behind it, right? Itās like Iām making myself say these things, right? The difference is the energy of experiencing Iām more than this bag of bones and skin and meditation. Iām actually.

drawn, what Yogananda calls the involution, instead of all my energy being propelled out, forcing me to think I have to compare myself or judge, Iām going into this, whoa, this energy. And from this place, I speak the truth of more increasingly confidence, knowing this in my affirmations. From this deep place, this well, Iām starting to visualize this is what it could be.
be like. So thatās why we want to do the affirmations and the visualizations after weāve had a chance to settle down. And then increasingly, again, all the time, we start to challenge those beliefs that still come up, so we can start to break them down. And then thereās this, itās my experience as well in this spaciousness. Itās beyond words. Itās beyond.
Itās beyond things that we can just pinpoint, right? Thereās this.
openness, where the truth just radiates out. So we want to spend more time in that abundance. And what makes that easier is starting to get up in a space where we donāt go on our phones, we donāt start to get dragged into the issues of the world. Weāre not on the news, weāre not looking at the headlines. Weāre not thinking, oh, I have to answer that work email back right away. Usually, if you make them wait 10 or 15 minutes more, so you can do your meditation, itās going to be just fine. Right?
the less outside influence we have, the better our meditations. Listen, Iām not perfect. This morning or yesterday or whatever, I went on my phone for a moment and I was like, oh, I had to say this. It did mess up my meditation. So I finally stopped, did the email, cleared my head a little bit, went back in. Ideally, we would just go in, but weāre human. So you just start to notice the difference.

And I say to myself, itās better if I just get up earlier before Iām even in that flow, right? So I can really feel safe and confident that I can just do my meditation before anyone else is even awake, right? So itās really important that we do that. So from this place inside of us, this is a beautiful place toā¦
ask the question, what can I do to further my prosperity and abundance? Because itās not just, okay, I feel good. We have to take inspired action. We need to move this forward. Itās up to us to make things happen, to get from A to B. No one can just sit here and think that, you know, an amazing job is gonna just fall in from the sky. We have to take action. We have to put ourselves out there. But thereās a difference between coming from a fear -based place,
23:25 Taking Inspired Action
And weāre like, when we say, oh, look, Iāll give you an example. People are posting on social media, on TikTok 10 times a day. I have to do that too. I say that because I donāt post on TikTok a lot because it doesnāt, you know, for me right now, itās just not, Iām just not called to do that. But if I looked around and Iām like, everybody else is doing it, I would feel that pressure. But I go into a deeper place inside of me.
And this is how I started to write books. And I said to myself, what can I, you know, what should I do today? And I was called to do different things. I took a class on how to write a proposal for a manuscript, right? It was a class given by a literary agent. I took this class about how to do it myself, how to write a letter, get a headshot, you know, write a sample chapter, whatever it was to move that forward.
And then I had my blog. I didnāt know how to market it, but I was inspired inside of myself share. So I would just tell people that I taught yoga to, I would just share it around. It was this inspiration coming up. So itās not forced. When it comes to abundance, we want to go, to me, it feels like stepping into the waterfall where thereās this amazing flow. So we want to flow with it. We want to flow with.

You know, this feels like this is going to move the meter. This is something that I feel called to do to do today. Now itās different if you feel called to write emails, to put yourself out there and then you stop yourself with fear. Thatās different than forced, right? When we know thereās something that could really be powerful, we want to follow our hearts to do that. Even if we feel scared or even if you know, the voice of doubt says theyāre never going to listen to you.
This more and more we start to realize as we go into the spaciousness, knowing that weāre safe inside, knowing that our energy is intact within us and our self -worth builds. And we say, you know what, Iām going to try. Even if the answer is yes or no, Iām just going to keep going with this inspired action. And the more we keep flowing like that, things are going to start to stick. Things are going to start to happen. Doors are going to start to open up.
But we donāt want to do that based on fear, based on looking out and saying, well, I have to do this because thatās how she started her business or thatās how she lost the weight. It was this diet, whatever, even though inside of us, it feels not the right path for us. So inspired action comes the more we go down and listen to the heart and listen to the gut.
So what I like to do before I make decisions, even in the middle of my work days, Iāll close my eyes for 10 seconds and Iāll take a deep belly breath. Once again, hand on heart, hand on belly, or my hands open like this and my palms facing up on my knees or my thighs, meaning I am open spirit. I am open universe. Share with me what I need to do. The ego has very set ideas. The ego says, go about things this way.
And this is the expectation thatās resisting. When we create resistance, itās like adding big boulders into the waterfall. The water doesnāt flow as easily. It means I think I know better. And when we do that, we can block a lot of opportunities from coming. And we donāt want to do that. So part of abundance and prosperity is openness and humility. It means I donāt know all the answers. So let me sit here for a moment and see what arises.

from this deeper place in me, my heart and my gut, which are connected. These are portals, we can say, to this greater universe of allness all around. Whereas the mind and the brain can get stuck in perspectives, positions, if you will, dogmatic ways of thinking, programming. Itās like blinders on a horse. So to break out of that, again, meditation, but also practically in life, going into the spaciousness andā¦
really, literally intentionally getting into a state of openness, when weāre listening, first of all, to our own wisdom, and when weāre listening to other people, bringing forward ideas, maybe thereās something in there that we hadnāt thought of before, maybe thereās something in there that could actually be really helpful, if we open up to it. If we open up to the spaciousness. So opening, listening, humility,
And then going into that spaciousness is really important. Another thing that I wanna bring up as well is acceptance. So acceptance doesnāt mean, oh man, this is just how my life is going to be. Itās gonna continue on the same trajectory. Acceptance means yes to life. And I wrote about this on a recent Instagram post, which was,

When we say yes to life, it means that weāre getting out of resistance mode, which is complaining and reacting and judging something is not bad. That constricts our energy. So thatās going to restrict your abundance and prosperity. Yes means, oh, here I am. And Iām going to flow with life. Flow. Abundance is flow. So we were coming back from a long plane trip and
My husband had to go to Europe after we were on the East Coast for a family event. This is last week. We were flying back and my three year old often throws up on planes. I donāt know what it is, something with the elevation. My younger, my older never threw up. So heās just freaking out. Iām trying to calm him down. The two boys are wrestling over me. Iām sitting in the middle. He throws up all over me. He throws up on himself. Heās in a puddle of throw up.

And it was in that moment that I said to myself, you know what? I could just say to myself, this sucks and cry to myself and play that victim. Or I can just really go into what Iām talking about here, that flow. And so I took some deep breaths, step by step, call the attendant. Can I have some napkins? Okay. Cleaning up my full attention is in that moment, that acceptance, that surrender.
not going into the thoughts of I wish this was different, shouldnāt be here by myself, you know, it shouldnāt be like whatever. And I cleaned it up. And then heās like, you have to hold it down. The bio waste, the bio hazard bag, weāre not allowed to take it. You have to put it on the seat. OK, Iām going to sit here with this barf for the rest of the flight. And I breathed through it and just kind of went through it. And I have to tell you that I felt so powerful.
because I didnāt get upset. And so I didnāt shrink my energy and I felt pretty great. Literally that moment. And as I was getting off the plane and I was kind of laughing with the kids, we went back, I slept great, right? And I just, I feel like when we take these little moments and we donāt have to go into the same patterns. In the past, there have been flights where Iāve gone into, you know, this is,
hard and this sucks and travel hard with little kids and I get upset and then my body starts to constrict and I get off the plane and Iām really sore and then just kind of irritated and food doesnāt taste as good. I donāt sleep as well. Life, everything is energy. So everything affects everything else. But what I noticed in this experience was that I stayed in that flow. And then I woke up feeling great and I went into my work day, right? Everything keeps flowing.
So we can use the opportunity for everyday moments to stay in flow. And I really do believe that builds our abundance in bigger things. So just notice your mindset when the bus is late or when, you know, your food arrives at the restaurant, itās cold, or you have to send it back or something happens that, you know, usually isnāt exactly what you expected.

Stay abundant, stay connected to life and just pivot, move, breathe. That is part of building our muscle to be in the now moment. And the more weāre in the now, the more beautiful things will continue to unfold because weāre not fighting with life. Weāre not resisting it. Weāre allowing, weāre saying yes. Yes means yes to bigger things. Yes to this beautiful unfolding and things will keep moving forward. So.
Remember, go into that spaciousness. Donāt focus on the surface. This is a big training. Go into meditation. Settle yourself. Then practice affirmations. Practice your visualization. When the self -doubt comes up, write it out. Challenge it. Say, wait a minute, from a rational place and an intuitive place. And then also work on accepting life, saying yes.
33:23 Gratitude and Divine Law of Success
to what is, what is here, what is now, and also be grateful. We can turn ourselves around. I was recently doing a KTLA segment where I talked about starting the day with three things youāre grateful for because gratitude also brings more, the fullness of whatās here. So itās more of this now, now, flow, waterfall, yes, yes. So you can start the day writing things down or I just like to think them in front of my altar as Iām praying and meditating things Iām grateful for to start the day. Itās a beautiful blueprint.

Iāll read you the quote from Yogananda at the beginning. If man works in harmony with the divine law of success, he receives abundance. Right? So working with the divine law to me is working with what is, itās saying yes to life and then we can shape things and then we can use our will and our energy and say, hmm, this is happening, let me pivot and shape it this way. Yogananda also says,
Think of divine abundance as a mighty refreshing rain. Whatever receptacle you have at hand will receive it. If you hold up a tin cup, you will receive only that quantity. If you hold up a bowl, that will be filled. What kind of receptacle are you holding up to divine abundance? When we go into that spaciousness, we realize the truth of our amazing worth, our energy, the equality with us and others. We donāt hold others above us or below us. We allā¦
