Hope all is well! I wanted to share with you what I’ve been up to the last few evenings- lots and lots of truffle rolling! Call me crazy, but I want each guest at my book launch party to have a personal item that I personally make for them, which will be a small bon bon box with 2 of my Raw Cacao Truffles in it.
I’m using the wonderful Big Tree Farms raw cacao, which is a sustainable farm in Bali that provides fair income to lots of the Balinese people, and is simply amazing cacao to work with! I’ve just been trucking through, devoting a few hours after dinner working on it. It’s actually sort of meditative, and I’ve been enjoying it. Of course, I would never make food for my clients or anyone if I am not enjoying it or in joyful spirits! Possessing positive energy while preparing food is essential to me, and it must be respected. Consciously or not, we can taste- and feel- the difference in the food!
In The Beauty Detox Solution I have a newer vegan recipe for the Raw Cacao Truffles which includes dates, which are a great source of calcium. But here is an older recipe which includes raw, organic honey if you’re into that. And here is a blog on my beekeeper you might find interesting, in case you were on the fence about using certain bee products in general!
Have you guys tried the Raw Cacao Truffles yet? Or any exotic fruits, you should!
See you back here soon! Have an amazing day and take care of yourself!!!!!
Love, Kimberly
I LOVE your raw cacao truffles. They’re so great when you have a sweet craving. I keep them in the freezer and grab 1 every few days. Perfect!
Hello Kim!
It has been 2 weeks on the green smoothie, thank you!
I do not have a twitter account, is it possible for you to add the TIP OF THE DAY on this web site as well? i have found them very helpful
You ARE one sweet little cacao truffle! Love it! x
You’re so sweet. I’m sure your guests will really appreciate all the time you took to make them these tasty treats with love. I agree that your emotions can be felt in the food you prepare. It’s like in the movie “Like Water For Chocolate.” The wedding guests in the story can literally feel the longing the main character has for her true love when they eat the food she prepared. Personally, I’d rather feel the joy you put into the making of your chocolates.
hey ! have you got any tips on what to clean your blender with ? i use it a couple of times a day, and sometimes in a rush i forget it unwashed on the table and by the time i get home it smells bad. any special “non toxic” soap for this?
I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now and just bought your book. I finished reading it last night and absolutely loved it. I’m Indian, and some of the principles in your book are things I’ve heard my mother say to me, but I never knew why…like ‘avoid drinking water when you’re eating’…now I know. I love that you’re not promoting a short term diet like other ‘health gurus’. I’m so glad I found you and its just the sweetest thing that you’re making those truffles yourself. You have such a beautiful positive energy :) something that I wish I will cultivate as I start to meditate more and eat better. Thanks for everything.
Yes, I have tried the truffles before (the older recipe with the raw honey– haven’t tried the ones with dates in them yet.) I LOVE THESE TRUFFLES! I make them whenever I’m invited over to a friend’s house, and they never fail to impress. Thank you for sharing the recipe! :)
I make these truffles or some version of them very regularly! LOVE THEM so much! I want one every time I think about them.
Please do a blog on food combining. I have the book but I’m still stressing about food combinations and what to eat. I’m not all raw or completely vegan (very rarely cheese or eggs and occasional fish) and I just stare at the cupboard wondering what to put together to make a meal. I’ve got ideas for a few seperate recipes, but a whole meal is hard and therefore I’m not eating enough at meals and get hungry shortly after eating. Also, what do chia seeds combine with? Hemp? Quinoa? I would love to see more info and food combining info to help me with all the awesome info in your book! I just feel overwhelmed! I love your blog and love your book (been sharing the info with my boyfriend) so keep the great info coming. You’re awesome!
~Health and happiness,
Ann
I TOTALLY agree with you, Ann! Kimberly, it would be MUCH appreciated if you could expand a bit further in a blog on food combining with more examples of foods and some recipes. Hopefully, in the future, you will write a book of properly combined food recipes. Thanks so much for your time.
Hi Kimberly!
I am a huge fan of your blog and also your book, which I read in a couple of days. I recently made both the raw cacao truffles and the raw pecan pie for a big family dinner, and both were a hit! Also, I’ve been drinking your green smoothie weekly since last summer. I’ve experienced a huge difference in how I feel, it’s incredible! Thanks so much for providing such great information!
