Eating conventionally grown produce adds chemicals to your diet that can dull your skin and hair. Not sure where to go for a source of organic vegetables? Try community supported agriculture or your local farmer’s market. Visit Local Harvest to find programs in your region.
Once you find the freshest ingredients, change up your diets to see which one your body needs, like the diet for acid reflux.
Kim, I love you blog and book! I have made some dramatic changes in my diet and am definately seeing improvements in my body. My husband drinks his GGS everyday and is now off his blood pressure and cholesterol medication. Unfortunately, we live in Korea and are unable to find organic produce. Even local farmers use pesticides and herbicides. I know there is no way to get rid of the chemicals, but would the use of digestive enzymes or other supplements help with this?
Kit, sometimes I’ll add a product called Adya Clarity to my green smoothies and green juices. Its main purpose is for purifying water but it also increases the mineral content. I don’t know if there are other products like it. I haven’t heard Kim talk about this product but some raw food and health gurus, as well as some bloggers have talked about the benefits of this product like Matt Monarch from The Raw Food World. Also, you could use an organic superfood green powder like Vitamineral green or Ormus greens.
Is there a way to consume supermarket fruits and vegetables if I can’t buy them organic or natural because it’s too expensive? we have wet markets here in Asia but I’m not sure if vendors get supplies from organic farms. the nearest organic or natural market is only open on Sundays and it’s a two-hour drive from my home.
