Open-Faced Avo Beauty Sandwich Recipe

This is a perfectly Beauty Food Paired sandwich which is very satisfying and filling, and excellent as the main course of a heavier lunch or even dinner.

It is all those processed meat sandwiches which are ill-combined and should be taken off the menu! Avoid eating more than one per day.

    Kimberly,

First of all, I’m currently reading “The Beauty Detox Solution”. I’m really enjoying it and think everything you’ve written and are saying is right on the money. It just rings true for me.

Many of your delicious recipes contain avocado. I would love to eat avocado and in fact did until the age of 22. I had some major stress graduating from college at the time and developed a very ulcerous stomach. Since then, my tummy has healed except for an intolerance to avocado’s. Boo! Do you have anything that I can replace them with in your recipes?

    Respectfully,

    Christen

P.S. Obviously the avo sandwich has avocado 🙂

I have fallen in love with avocado and sprouts sandwiches lately! A local health food store makes them and I’ve been having them for lunch. There’s are made with honey wheat bread, sprouts, avocado, & cayenne only.

I definately need to get some millet bread and make my own!

Your toasted bread looks so good! What brand did you use for this picture? All the gluten free I have tried just crumble and fall apart. Yours looks yummy 🙂

I am LOVING your book and so happy to see recipes in your book and on your site. I was wondering, like Deb, if you recommend Ezekial bread? I eat the low sodium, sprouted grains one. Thanks so much for all you share with us! 🙂

Like the others, I wish I knew what type of gluten free bread is pictured here. Udi’s has eggs so I can’t eat it. I need a gluten free vegan bread. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Kimberly hi,

I have a question about baking my own gluten free bread. My question is about paring ingredients in the bread actually. Usually in vegan bread recipes eggs are substituted by flax, which is ground and then mixed with water. This creates nice congealed substance that very well binds non-glutenous flowers like quinoa or millet. Now because quinoa is starch and flax as I understand is protein, would that be a proper paring? What would you recommend? Thank you!

    Hi Kimberly!

I LOVE your book and refer back to it often when preparing my meals, I just have a quick question regarding this sandwich. Is it okay to use sunflower seed bread? I’m not sure if that’s an improper pairing since avocado is a fat and I’m mixing it with sunflower seeds. I couldn’t find any millet bread at either of my local health food stores.
    Thank you!

    Hi Kimberly,

I have started the green smoothie and am getting acquainted with it but will continue since it is making me feel much better. I have also started using hot water with lemon in the morning and am trying to quit coffee but this is quite challenging. I need to know what your last item is and where to find it (Probiotic & Enzyme Salad)? Thanks.

I have been trying to go gluten free for a while now. I just hated the way I felt after I had pasta or a simple sandwich. I was fortunate enought to find good gluten free pasta, but a bread substitue was always a bit of a challenge. The millet bread is amazing! I actually think I like it more than regular bread! One slice pretty much is as filling as four slices. I use to eat white bread like candy. This is such a better alternative; and I don’t get the heavy breathing and exhuasted feeling I hated.

I am enjoy in your book tremendously. I have to say it is a bit of a struggle when my boyfriend wouldn’t go near a veggitable with a ten foot pole and eats like a college student. He is support of me and my choice, and I am very thankful for that.

Thanks Kim for all your wonderful knowldege. I am excited to feel the truly alive and cleansed me!

    Dear Kimberly,

Thank you for all your inspiration and wealth of knowledge. Can you please guide me to a natural and organic skin line? I am 37 years, I have 3 children, my skin is a little on the dry side with few dark spots (perhaps sun damage?) and have fine lines around my eyes and deeper line around my mouth (laugh lines). I want something that will help to boost my skin. I appreciate your advice.

    Namaste

    Hi Kimberly!

Sound delicious, All though I’ve read that too much millet could cause goiter. What’s your opinion about that? Aren’t there any better gluten free alternatives?
