Kimberly Snyder’s Holiday Gift Guide

The holidays are here again! I went to get a new warm winter coat as a present for my mother at the Beverly Center here in Los Angeles last night, and I was struck by the vast, enormous inventory of simply stuff everywhere, but particularly packed into Bloomingdales and other department stores.

When I saw the endless racks of clothes, perfume, cosmetics and more, I started thinking about how much we spend and focus on all the external stuff.

Hey, I love shoes too, but it remains a fact that nothing is really more important than the stuff you can’t buy. This is especially true of the quality time you spend with your family and friends, which is directly influenced by their health, and ability to fully express their full potential in this world.

That’s why I have a very, very short holiday gift guide this year. While some things are important (like warm coats!), how much stuff do we really need in general? Will that extra pair of golf shoes, a few extra dress shirts, or another bottle of perfume really matter in a few years?

What about giving that person a gift that will help themselves to become healthier, possibly help to prevent degenerative diseases, help them to have more energy, perhaps avoid having to live with certain medications, and all around help improve the quality of their life?

That’s why I wholeheartedly recommend the gift of a Vitamix this holiday season for a loved one or for your own family. Yes, I understand it is expensive. But if you add up some other gifts and things that maybe you can cut back on spending, perhaps it is doable.

They also have refurbished ones you can buy that are less expensive but still work great. By giving this gift, you will be giving the gift of health and quality of life. What’s better than that?

1. Vitamix

I remember when I got my first Vitamix, it was after my around the world journey. I couldn’t afford much, but I cut back as much as I could in other areas- made all my own food at home, practiced yoga at home sometimes instead of going to class, etc. and my boyfriend at the time and I were able to scrape together the money to get a refurbished one. It changed my life. And I now don’t remember the other stuff I couldn’t get when I cut back saved up to buy it.

If you want to take the plunge and get one, with these links you will automatically receive free shipping!. The one I use and love is the classic 5200. I prefer to control the settings myself on a dial, rather than the models with set settings (green smoothie, vegetable soup, plant based diet etc.).

But…to be balanced, here are a few other things I like:

2. Sally B’s Skin Yummies

The Sally B’s Skin Yummies Stocking Stuffing Gift Bag. It contains my favorite mineral Get Even finishing powder (I still get oily in LA, believe it or not), and I love the lip yummy flavor of Mints in Harmony.

Happy, healthy holidays.

Wishing you love, peace and health during this holiday season.

    Hi Kimberly
It’s been a year that I started readying your blog… Little by little I been changing my diet.
I was wondering, have you considered marketing your glowing green smoothie?

I would like one of those great blenders but I just cant afford it. I am on disability and that check does not cover all my expenses. Where can I find a refurisable blender like that one . Please let me know as soon as possiable.

    Thank You,

Go on the Vitamix website. They offer refurbished ones all the time. The last I checked they were $329. This included a 5 year warrenty, a 64 ounce container and a cook book. I have one and if you can save up to buy one WELL WORTH IT. Good luck.

Funny…my husband and I started the GGS about 4 month ago because a friend gave us the recipe. It made us feel great!!! So I bought your book and I am a believer! A lot of issues I had and no doctor or holistic doctor could really solve and I wasn’t going to accept as normal aging (I just turned 41), are gone!

So…two month ago we decided to get a Vitamix ad an early Christmas gift and that would be it! It feels good to ignor the normal Christmas madness and all that while enjoying a lovely green smoothy!

Best advise! I can only agree!

    Hey Kim!

Love your blog Im getting your book for Christmas and can’t wait ! 🙂 Anyway I’m a 20 year old college student and don’t have the money to buy the vitamin although I will def be getting one eventually when I save up. I currently am not vegan or raw foodie, or eat gluten free and dont think I could be 100% of either but I have been trying to eat more healthy and live a healthy lifestyle I have cut down on my meat intake and limit it to once or twice a week I eat a lot of legumes and quinoa and salads and I have cut out dairy which I use to consume daily, didn’t think I would like almond milk but it’s great! Anyway the question I did have was is the NUTRIBULLET an ok substitute for the time being I know it doesn’t have the capacity to make too much but would it be ok to make ur smoothies in particular ur GGS, which I’m dieing to try ! I’m new to this lifestyle and really would really appreciate ur feedback! Anyway I love your blog and I am so grateful to have stumbled upon it, thank you for inspiring to me become healthier! I hope one day you’ll open up a GLOW BIO shop in Long Island New York. Anyway thanks so much for your inspiring posts and opening my eyes to a new lifestyle.

    Sincerely,
    Caitlin
P.S love the brackets and all th jewelry I checked out on Adessos website I wll def be buying a few things for family, friends and myself 🙂

Caitlin – The NutriBullet is not only an okay substitute, I prefer it. I have had both a VitaMix and a Nutribullet and I prefer the NB. It is so much easier to use and clean. My NutriBullet doesn’t take up much space and it doesn’t have a bunch of moving parts. It’s easy and much cheaper. I say buy a NutriBullet and don’t look back!

Hey Caitlin- I couldnt afford the Vitamix either ,but a VERY VERY great system is the Ninja blender system that is between 40to60$. I have the 3 piece set i got for 60$ and its great for making Kimberly smoothies and soups, and etc. Check it out. An old roommate of mine had the Ninja and when she movedout i loved it so much i decided to get one.

    Hi Kimberly!

I am the proud owner of a Vitamix 3600 circa 1980!! I got it from my mom who used it when I was a kid! It is a beautiful stainless steel machine that I keep proudly on my kitchen counter and use everyday!
    Loving your program!

    Namaste!
    Heather
