Today, I want to give you a quick overview and video demo of one of the many sought-after recipes from Beauty Detox Foods — Raw Taco Gorilla Wraps.
This recipe is rich in amino acids, chlorophyll, enzymes, omega 3 fatty acids, magnesium, iron, amino acids, folic acid and lots of other nutrients – and I consider it a total body beauty recipe, meaning it’s great for your hair, skin, eyes, balancing weight and more!
It also happens to make collard greens delicious and easy to eat. And collard greens are right up there with kale as one of the healthiest foods you can put into your body.
I sometimes make this recipe for clients, as it keeps very well in the fridge for at least 48 hours and maintains its taste very well.
It’s just one of 87 new recipes you’ll find inside the Beauty Detox Foods book!
Here’s the video:
Here’s another idea for a healthy and simple recipe right here — the Tabouli Salad recipe!
In love and health,
Kimberly

Are collard greens what we call spring greens in the UK?
Oh how I hope I win a Vitamix :O lol
Kim, if you are in the Florida Everglades, check out the wonderful fruit and vegetable stand called Robert is Here!! Looks like you’re in my neighborhood. Would love to meet you. Big fan.
I made these wraps for a night that I had class. I like to bring healthy things to pick on while I’m there, and these were AWESOME!!! Will def make again and again!! Very tasty! I shared them with one of my classmates and she loved them as well! Thanks Kimberly!
Hi Kimberly,
What can I use for “Taco Meat” If I am allergic to seeds and tree nuts? It’s tough to make these a filling meal without that “taco meat”
Thanks!
You can probably substitute either vegetable protein (i.e. Morningstar patties, crumbled) or use the same seasoning on a grain, like brown rice or quinoa. It will yield a heavier, more hearty filling…unfortunately it won’t be raw, and it will certainly have a different texture than the nuts.
I’m loving these new recipe demo’s you’re posting! I can’t wait to get my hands on the new book. This is one I’m definitely going to try. Thank you! :)
I have a reaction to walnuts on my tongue. Should I skip the taco recipe all together or is there another type of nut I can replace it with???
i can’t wait to try this, it looks amazing. thanks for sharing! can’t wait to pick up my copy of beauty detox foods!
I emailed my reciept and haven’t gotten a response or any of the downloads. I’m not sure if I’ve entered the contest correctly. Please help
It looks super yummy I have done a collard wrap before but I am definitely going to try your recipe
Walnuts contain omega-6, not omega-3 fatty acids, don’t they?
Also have you looked into Ayurvedic diets?
Walnuts contain both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids. They are just more well known for their omega-3’s because of their status as one of the few vegan options with high levels of them.
Looks amazing! I cannot wait until I get your book on my kindle! The Beauty Detox Solution completely changed my life and I just know that your new book will be just as amazing. Thank you soooooooo much for the love and energy you put into your books and blog. You have been an inspiration to me and I feel so grateful to have found your book! LOVE YOU KIMBERLY!
These look great! It seems like you use walnuts a lot in your recipes. I’m allergic to them, but I can eat pecans. Are pecans a decent substitution for walnuts?

Hi Kimberly,
I love this idea! Simple ingredients that I always have on hand… and I would never have thought to combine them this way.
Congrats on the new book too!!

I just made these and they are delicious!!! I could not believe how they taste just like meaty tacoes! Will definitely start making these every week or so and paired with your Sally’s Salsa recipe, absolutely mouth-watering!

I would like to know how many calories in Kimberly Snyder’s Glowing Green smoothie
Hi Kimberly! I’m allergic to walnuts – do you have an alternative ingredient?
Hi, I am unable to purchase collard greens. (Uk) what can I use as an alternative?
Chris, I bought some similar looking Chard type from Waitrose. :D
I use boiled cabbage leaves – they get strong and a really pretty bright green. And they are perfect from left over ones when making probiotic and enzyme salad.
I would love to try this! I have a child that is allergic to walnuts though. What nut would be a good substitute?
Almonds are another good option as are sunflower seeds.
I am allergic to all nuts including walnuts. What can I use as a replacement for the walnuts?
Kassandra
You can substitute sunflower seeds that have been soaked for a couple of hours and drained in place of walnuts if you have nut allergies.
This was so easy and quick – yet so tasty! It tastes just like a taco :) Thanks Kimberly!
Hi we don’t have collard greens in Australia any replacements?
Thanks
You can use romaine leaves and instead of it being a burrito wrap style, it’s more like a taco.
I was skeptical but this was DELICIOUS!!
I tried this wrap for myself and others I make food for and we LOVED it!!!! I wasn’t totally surprised though becuase every recipe I tried so far has been really good.
I would never have believed how awesome collard greens taste raw! thought they needed to be cooked for hours to make them more tender but was really pleasantly surprised. i’m going to be wrapping everything in them. Collards have such amazing nutritional profile and anti-infllammatory properties. My 3.5 year old thought these were tasty too :) thank you so much Kimberly!
I am allergic to walnuts. Is there anything I can substitute for the walnuts?
Hi Cathy and thanks for checking out my Raw Taco Gorilla Wraps. Depending on your taste, you can try using cashews or macadamia nuts (or another variety of your choice), and should get similar results. Let me know how it works for you. Sending lots of love! ;)
Thank you, Kimberly! I will try cashews or pecans. Alas, I’m allergic to macadamia nuts, also. smh
