Hi Kim,
What a coincidence! I was in Rwanda last week visiting the girls whose education our Women ‘s Initiative is sponsoring and the schools where our company donates software. It is a special place, for sure!
On another note, I wanted to say that the probiotics are fantastic! I am spreading the word!

Thaks so much for being a light too so many of us and to those precious angels! Blessings to you…
Hi,
The organization is doing great things-thanks for bringing it to our attention. I feel compelled to comment on your photos, particularly those with the Vitamix. Honestly, I find it somewhat offensive to bring this $200+ appliance to a a place like Rwanda to people who will probably never have access to a blender of any kind. Can the smoothies be made by the parents of the kids indulging in the drink, without a blender? It seems a case of giving people fish, but not actually teaching them to fish . I understand that kind of living, as I was a Peace Corps volunteer once, living in a rural community with no running water or electricity. I think a little more cultural sensitivity should have been in order, and the Vitamix not been part of the scene.

Thank you for your comment. The blender that is in the photos is owned by Gardens For Health and was donated by
Vitamix a few years ago. After being in Rwanda and the villages, I disagree with your comment. Yes in the villages
electricity is not available and parents can’t use a Vitamix, but one of the biggest problems in Rwanda
villages is malnutrition which is what the whole Gardens for Health program is about as it educates and provides
families with a means to grow there own food, as well as learn to be self sustaining with the farming. Before you make judgments
you should read about the great work they are doing.
Giving out daily GGS to the children isn’t the focus of the program, but it is a great bonus as everyday
dozens of village children come to the center to drink GGS which not only improves their health,
but also teaches them to value and love fruits and vegetables. For me giving daily GGS to dozens of children in
the village is far better then not giving it to them. If you saw how much the children loved drinking
and get so excited for it every day you might have a different opinion. To me its about helping the children
any way you can.
Awesome, just simply awesome.
YOU ARE AN ANGEL! There is no daoubt in my mind about that. Thank you so much for shareing the beautiful pictures!! You are changing the world!
It takes one to know one! :) Thank you Judy!
