You don’t have to take everything in the books so literally that you try to do everything at once—buy all the groceries and recommended foods, make all the recipes, etc.
Instead, the principles are meant to be guidelines, incorporated gradually, so re-reading may be beneficial.
You may change as a person as you go, so you receive the information differently with each reading. You may catch something you didn’t catch before, or find something you would like to apply to your life at its current stage that you didn’t notice or need (or just weren’t ready for), before.
Since the books are guides for long-term changes, keep going back to them to remind yourself why you’re sticking to the changes you’ve made, inspire yourself, and have the information fresher in your mind so it’s easier to adhere to the principles you adopted so long ago.
You can look for a specific thing in the books. You don’t have to keep reading the whole thing from cover to cover. Go check out the recipes in The Beauty Detox Solution or go through and pick out new foods to try from The Beauty Detox Foods.
Use Them as Support
Maybe your family and friends don’t eat the same way you do or have a different perspective on diet and what constitutes a healthy lifestyle. It’s nice to have the books because you feel like you have a connection with others who think the same way you do. You can feel like the books are your friends because there’s such an energy present in the words.
Keep the books somewhere you can feel inspired—the kitchen counter or the coffee table, for example.
They’re one physical thing you can have around you that can make you feel good, serve as a reminder, and hopefully be really inspiring.
Whatever you focus on expands—whatever you see becomes your thoughts and your thoughts become reality—so keeping the books nearby is a good source of inspiration and support.
Consistently revisit the books for inspiration to make healthy choices and fuel that fire. You weren’t ready for everything the first time through, so learn and make your changes gradually.
Use Them to Stay Focused, Avoid Fads, and Feel Free
Set yourself up for success by using every resource you can (the books, the blog, the podcasts, etc).
Be selective and don’t give into the fads—the pills, calorie counting, etc. We become more beautiful and powerful the more we tap into nature and the way we were meant to live and eat. We’re too complex for that and when we stray from the way we’re intended to live, chasing fads or focusing on numbers, it becomes a struggle. It doesn’t have to be this way.
If you don’t try to take shortcuts and you focus on the authentic way, you’ll see amazing results.
If you free up energy from struggle and worrying about your weight and diet, you’ll be able to create so much in this lifetime and on this planet. Unlimited power will flow through you, but you have to get that part of your life under control first.
Because of all the distractions, keep the books around as if they’re friends with a real voice, going through this with you. We all need support and we’re here to help each other. We’re all on this path and we can all benefit.
If you don’t worry about weight and diet so much, your whole world can open up—your brainpower, energy, focus in your personal and professional goals. Everything on the planet will be raised up.
Three principles that are the core of the books and something to remind yourself of frequently:
- Have your Glowing Green Smoothie every day.
- Eat more veggies and less meat.
- Give up dairy.
What we eat shouldn’t be so complicated. Use the books to remind yourself to keep it simple and eat the way nature intended.
In Love and Health,
Kimberly
