New Beauty Detox Transformation Story: Meet Kaylee!

We’ve been refining our blog schedule over the recent weeks and months, and one of the things people love most are the inspirational stories we do every Friday!
This week’s inspirational story of transformation comes from Kaylee, who used Beauty Detox to clear up her skin, tone her body and feel amazing.
Let’s dive into her answers and experience!
How long have you been following the Beauty Detox philosophy? Was it easy to incorporate it into your lifestyle?
I discovered Kimberly and Beauty Detox about a year and a half ago. I started by cutting down on dairy and drinking the Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS) a few times a week. It was very easy to incorporate into my lifestyle, and I saw an immediate change in my skin soon after starting the Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS).
What is your daily regimen? Give us an example of a typical meal plan and exercise routines.
My daily regimen usually starts out with taking Probiotics+ followed by a cup of warm lemon water. Soon after that make my GGS. If I don’t have the GGS that morning, I definitely eat some fruit. I switch up my diet but for the past month I’ve had a sweet potato almost every day and/or fresh guacamole with quinoa-chia tortilla chips. I also eat a salad with lemon as a dressing most days.
I have been making vegan chili which is so delish. I used workout at the gym about 6-8 times a week. I am so busy with work now, that I only have time to workout 3 times a week but I still feel great and like that I’m maintaing my tone. My workouts consist of 30 minutes of cardio along with weight training.
How do you feel after adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle? What changes have you experienced?
After adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle I feel so amazing. It’s amazing how much your mind really controls everything. I remember 6 months ago when I had greatly reduced dairy but still ate it a couple times a week, thinking there is no way that I could ever fully give up dairy.
Well, after stopping my antibiotics I knew I had to do whatever it takes to NOT get that horrible acne back. And I knew that meant giving up dairy 100%. I feel less bloated, have less breakouts, and so much more energy! I fully gave up animal protein two months ago and just like with dairy, I was thinking how in the world am I going to give up chicken and my favorite food…wild salmon.
It isn’t easy but I weened off of it by eating them a few times a week… to once a week… then eventually just cut it out totally. I have cut way back on gluten and only eat it about once every couple of weeks, if that. I just don’t crave it anymore, and there are so many alternatives like brown rice bread, quinoa pasta, and so on — that taste the same as gluten-filled foods but you don’t feel guilty about eating them!
I actually started making lists every two weeks of foods I incorporated in the LAST two weeks and foods that I would like to incorporate in the NEXT two weeks. I’ve always had a lot of willpower when it comes to my diet, but these last 6 months made me realize I am stronger then I have ever realized — and I am so proud of myself.
How has this impacted your outlook on life?
My outlook on life is so different since discovering The Beauty Detox Solution, Kimberly’s blog, and Glow Bio. I have always had a health freak side to me and always thought I was healthy just because I ate salads a few times a week, never really ate red meat, and ate whole grains. Looking back at the last 6 months and how much my diet has changed — which in turn my skin, body, and energy levels have changed — just amazes me! And if only after 6 months I noticed these changes, then I can’t wait for 6 years from now to see my progress!
What is your favorite recipe and why?
Ahhh my favorite recipe! This is a hard one. I have to say I have a huge sweet tooth and Kimberly’s raw cacao truffles have saved me from baking my not so healthy, dairy-free brownies many, many times. I have cut way back on refined sugar since discovery Kimberly’s dessert recipes in The Beauty Detox Foods.
What words of encouragement do you have for others in the Beauty Detox Community?
Words of encouragement to other Beauty Detoxers is that progress takes time but it is soooooooo worth it!
You should not transition too fast because you may fall back into old routines or give into cravings. It’s happened to me many times. I, just like most people, wish that all of the things we would like to change (body, skin, energy levels) would change overnight…but it does take time.
Still, I know that with every day you incorporate the BDS you are doing your health, skin, and body a HUGE favor and you will be surprised at how much better you feel/look with time!
