Power Potion Smoothie

by Kimberly Snyder | Feb 28, 2016 | Beauty, Breakfast, Fitness, Health, Nutrition, Recipes, Smoothies & Beverages, Snacks

My easy to blend recipe for you today is my Power Potion Smoothie! This is an amazing smoothie to whip up in the middle of the day, and it will leave you with tremendous energy. It is also a great way in particular to support healthy hair, keeping it moisturized and shiny during this dry season.

This quick blend is full of energizing B vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and so many other nutrients from the bee pollen. The maca, which is an adaptogen that offers fatty acids and amino acids, enhances energy and stamina and even can even help balance female hormones.

Why drink soda when you can whip this up in a few minutes?

Check out the recipe below…

Wow… Thought that would be gross cause be pollen can be a little yucky. I actually liked that. Used 1 cup almond milk and 1/2 cup water instead since I can’t afford coconut water but…. Still really good.

What brand of organic raw maca powder do you use?

    Hi Kimberly,

I love the idea of having this in the afternoon as a mid-afternoon pick me up! However, I work in a corporate office environment and making this smoothie on the spot in the office isn’t very feasible. Is it possible to make a few of these ahead of time and either freeze them or keep them in the fridge for a couple days?

Hi Erin and thanks for your great question. I say, give the freezer a try and let thaw for when you think you’ll be drinking it. The ingredients may separate while it’s trying to freeze, so once thawed out, give it a good shake to mix it again before drinking. Let me know how it works for you! ;)
