Who doesn’t want to have the energy of a bee?! Let me share why this smoothie will help ya out:
The Benefits to Adding Pineapple & Mint Into Your Smoothies
I love pineapple. Isn’t it great news when yummy foods are awesome for us? Well pineapple doesn’t just make your taste buds happy, they are a great hydrating food full of vitamin C. They are also naturally anti-inflammatory, which is important for your highest level of healthy, natural Radical Beauty.
Yikes! Let’s not get crazy! There’s no need to worry about that if we’re downing this smoothie with it’s hydrating elements of the amazing pineapple. Not only is it packed with bromelain (which helps with digestion), but pineapple is a natural detoxifier. This is turn, helps to manage or even assisting with weight loss.
*Note: The bromelain enzyme it contains is what is believed to contain anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce the onset of aging, pain and disease.
Pineapples are one of the most delicious fruits ever and are, of course, one of my personal faves :).
Mint adds herbaceous freshness anytime of year, including this one :).
Packed with vitamins, antioxidants and phytonutrients (including vitamin A, beta-carotene, vitamin C, folate, vitamin B-6 (pyridoxine), riboflavin and thiamin), it can be used for medicinal purposes, such as digestive problems. This includes nausea or need I say it, flatulence! (Plenty of that going on around here these days with Lil Bub and his baby farts, BTW! :) ).
I can not stress enough how much I love this Beauty Detox food! I’m such a fan that I’ve included it as one of my top 50 beauty foods in The Beauty Detox Foods.
I discovered it back when I was living in NY. Every day we would leave the yoga studio and go to this juice bar across the street north of Union Square. I started inquiring about the bee pollen they offered. I got hooked!
Then I met Mike, my bee keeper, who has the most potent and fresh bee pollen that I still source to this day. My mom brought me some last week to my hotel in NY and I carried it back with me to LA!
Without going into too many details (you can learn more HERE!), bee pollen is a wonderful source of protein and packed with valuable amino acids. These help to control hunger and appetite.
These golden beads are also packed with vitamins, B vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and are a complete protein.
Let’s check out these easy step-by-steps, shall we?!
It’s time to get energized and hydrated Beauties—from the inside out!
