Cacao Powder Beauty Tip
Did you know that cacao can improve your memory, increase your bliss, shed body fat, boost immunity, and supply you with loads of energy? Yes indeed!
Do I love my cacao powder! I’ve used it in other recipes like my Raw Cacao Truffles and my Chia Seed Delight. In fact, I’ve also used it in another one of my smoothie creations, the Nica Love Smoothie Recipe. You can click here to learn more about the beauty of cacao.
Even though cacao is a beauty food, it still contains caffeine and other stimulants. Just remember, we do not need cacao for nutrition purposes, so treat it as a treat, and have it only occasionally. I was getting out of control with my dark chocolate eating at one point- eating a few bars a week!!! But then I had a big cutback, as I do when I feel myself getting out of control with any one food, and now I’m just eating it very moderately :).
Acai Beauty Tip
Açai is loaded with beneficial nutrients and antioxidants, including Omega 3 fatty acids, amino acids, minerals, key vitamins and fiber. Acai is a super berry from Brazil, and you can find it in the frozen fruit section of health markets. I love the Sambazon brand (the unsweetened variety), which I’ve been using for years and sustainably harvests the acai.
The Omega 3 fatty acids found in acai maintain the structure and fluidity of cell membranes, facilitating the inflow of nutrients and the outflow of waste products—promoting youthful, smooth and radiant skin by keeping skin cells hydrated and strong. I don’t know about you, but I love the sound of that! ;)
And now that you have these beauty tips in mind, let’s get started towards a healthier and more beautiful you!

Hi Kimberly! I love your recipes and have been enjoying the GGS and Chia Seed Delight along with other great recipes on the regular. I’ve been eating the chia seed delight recipe 2-4 x/wk depending on the week. I usually use 2 tbsp chia, 1 tsp raw cacoa powder, 8 oz almond milk, vanilla extract, and a bit of coconut nectar per serving. You mentioned using cacoa only on occasion in the above recipe. In your opinion should I use less cacoa if I’m eating the above mentioned chia seed delight regularly? Thank you beauty!!!
Hi Julie, If you are having 1tsp of raw cacoa a week that is totally reasonable! You can always rotate, using it every other batch as well.xx
Hello! Today is my birthday and Super Bowl. I’m having an intimate dinner tonight and a huge treat catered by a wonderful Persian restaurant in San Francisco.
I spent the day meditating and in the Spa. I decided to go with this fabulous smoothie treat to cap off the Spa and to hold me over before dinner tonight.
Thank you for this wonderful smoothie recipe. I appreciate it beauty :)
