My Lemon Raspberry Digest Elixir Recipe is a * beautiful * elixir to add into the mix. Just look at that crimson color! (It make me want to get a dress that color :) ). Tangy, sweet and tart, and best of all, fantastic for aiding in digestion and overall health.
Let’s see how…
How To Stay On Track With Your Digestion
When we eat, something magical happens. It’s not just hum drum, here’s another task. Blah blah. What is actually happening, when we tune into it, is that we are releasing stored energy locked up in the plant food that is transferred to us through the process of digestion. The food literally becomes part of our organs and glands. Isn’t that amazing when you think about it!?
In order for that plant food to really nourish us, we have to be sure we are digesting it properly. This is critical even if we are eating the healthiest and most organic plant food on the planet.
This shouldn’t be a mechanical task that always turns out the same no matter what. This is because it involves our total being, our state of mind, emotions and environment.
Why You Should Chew Your Liquids
One area I’d like to remind myself and you as well, is to chew, chew, chew. And yes, this even means our GGS, smoothies and elixirs!
We should be chewing our food so that it mixes well with our saliva to aid the digestive process. Solid food like salads should be chewed a few dozen times. I use to ignore this popular adage but it is amazing how much saliva you really do produce when you practice it, and how much better the foods break down.
In one class we listened to music where every 60 seconds a bell would ring and that would signify to swallow. So it forced us to be conscious of chewing for 60 seconds…which seemed SO long.
When we chew well, it is amazing how full you get on way less food! Swallowing chunks of foods is very harmful for the body. This is due to wasting copious amounts of energy and additional enzymes to then break it down.
We’ve all gotten into modes of eating super fast. So just like with so many things in life, work on slowing down! There’s no rush to get anywhere, really, and that includes in getting food into our bellies. :)
Why Lemons Are a Good Source For Healthy Cleansing!

Nice blog with informative content related health and well being. Thanks for sharing this blog.
Thanks so much! Lots of love to you! ;)
It seems you wrote this blog to me specifically. Why do I say so? Am a fast eater and I do swallow in most case and do not even know the consequence. Your phrase which says “We should be chewing our food so that it mixes well with our saliva to aid the digestive process.” really touch me.
And from henceforth I will start to eat slow and let it get mix before swallowing so as to aid my digestive process.
Thank you for sharing.
God bless
That’s so great to hear Louis Femi. I love hearing feedback from my Beauties. Your body will definitely react well to this new habit. It really makes us slow down and appreciate the act of connecting with our healthy food choices. Keep up the great work and sending you lots of love and continued support! ;)
Morning Kimberly. I am a fast eater so thank you for the reminder.
Hi,
“Nice blog with informative content related health and well being”. Thanks for sharing this blog.
Thanks so much Ailsa for checking it out. Lots of love to you! ;)
Love and have loved your recipes, books etc! I’m just wondering… isnit just 1 TBS of the chia seed mixture? You show instructions there for a larger amount and your photos look like a larger amount than 1TBS… just want to know for sure how much of the chia seed/water mixture goes in! Thanks!!
