Hi Beauty,
Today I’m so excited to talk about gratitude. How we can express it more in our lives, and how in turn we can really benefit from gratitude. Gratitude is this amazing emotion of feeling very grateful, very thankful for what we have, and because we’re putting energy on the goodness, whenever we put energy on will grow.
How I Show My Gratitude…
It’s a way of just bringing in cycling more goodness, more love into our lives. It’s a wonderful thing to foster, especially now as we’re going into the holiday season. It’s a very powerful practice to bring more gratitude in.
The more grateful I am for the things that are working in my life and the things that I love, I’ve seen that really manifest other things.
What To Put Your Focus On
It’s so easy to complain, or compare, or think about what we’re lacking. That just puts energy and focus on the lack. Rather, focus on the goodness and love, which will bring more in and help us manifest more of what we want.
There’s even research about gratitude. It’s been shown in research to be associated with overall wellbeing, ability, latency, time to fall asleep, sleep quality. Gratitude helps to nourish us at the soul level and will help improve our wellbeing on so many different levels.
How To Express Our Gratitude
There’s many ways to express our gratitude, of course. There’s quality of presence. Instead of being in our head and flitting around, really being present with what’s happening in front of us. If someone calls you, saying, “Oh my gosh, thank you so much for thinking of me.” Or the waiter, every time they bring over water, or serve you saying, “Oh, thank you so much.”
There’s a quality of presence, I think, which helps infuse power into gratitude when we’re just in the here and now. In whatever is coming at us, whether it be emails or phone calls. Just interactions. The clerk at the store, or the bus driver, whoever it is, just always being thankful and very present with what is coming into our life.
Creative Ways to Be Grateful
I think it’s also very important to be grateful for ourselves. Our amazing bodies that carry us every day. Sometimes I give thanks to my feet. I give them a little Ayurvedic massage at the end of the day. :) Some self-care practices can bring that thankfulness and that gratitude to us.
This is a great way to overcome body shame, and comparisons, when we start to really feel gratitude for our strong, healthy bodies, whatever that means for you. Lighting a candle, extra time to meditate, a nice bath, getting massages. Finding a creative way to bring self-care into your life.
Also, we’re talking about waiters and servers. They work so hard. They’re bringing us food, they’re bringing us beverages if they’re a barista, whatever it is. It’s always nice to over tip, and just to really show that we care, to show that we notice their hard work.
It’s also just great energy. We talk about this waterfall flow a lot, as it relates to digestion. I believe when we put more out as far as abundance, we will get more as well. So, large tipping is a huge thing I’m a proponent of.
Also when we hug, it’s really nice showing gratitude giving hugs, and being the last one to let go. Let the other person let go first, and just hold on. Instead of pulling back, we can silently, consciously send love and energy and gratitude when we’re hugging. Through physical touch is also very powerful.
Simple and Easy Ways to Show We Are Grateful
We live in the age, of course, of technology and emails, but there’s something about handwritten notes which I think is still so powerful. Especially as we go into the holidays, including notes with your gifts, or in lieu of gifts, or thank you cards, and really expressing your gratitude authentically through your handwriting, I think is always very powerful.
Even giving gratitude for the earth. If there’s a place where you’re walking and you see trash, you see a way you can improve the environment. I do my beach walk sometimes. I see broken glass. I see trash bags. It’s a nice gesture picking up trash and throwing it away, just showing gratitude for Mother Earth who nourishes us, and gives us so much. These are just some simple, easy ways you can bring more gratitude into your life.
This is soul nourishment that will really help feed your soul, bring in better energy, and greater good. We’re focusing on the goodness and giving thanks.
I hope that this inspired you. Remember how amazing you are, and you are worthy of more and more wonderful things to flow in. Just start cultivating more gratitude. Let it flow. It will come to you.
And remember, I’m always here to support you, and to give you love. Lots of different resources. I will see you back here on Solluna website, or Facebook, also on Instagram at _Kimberly Snyder, and of course our podcast, The Feel Good Podcast. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
Sending you love,
