You know how much I love a delicious green smoothie Beauties. Over the years I’ve created many yummy variations from my original Glowing Green Smoothie. Today I am excited to share with you my newest addition to the mix, my Feel Radiant Green Harvest Smoothie.
Sipping on this smoothie is like having a harvest in your mouth, thanks in part to the 3 varieties of dark leafy greens and the oh so tasty figs! The combination of these ingredients has a powerful effect on your skin, leaving you feeling radiant all day long!
This is due to the concentration of potassium, beta-carotene, fiber, and other vital nutrients loaded in this mix. The antioxidants too help in repairing and renewing your skin cells. And don’t we all dream of glowing skin?
Radiantly Rich Figs
Consuming figs is one excellent way to cleanse your digestive tract. Thanks in part to their tiny seeds that are loaded with nutrients, figs help fill you with radiance! When you enjoy this fruit you’re actually drawing out and dissolving waste, mucus, and toxins from the body. This type of work is vital to enhancing your inner glow.
One of my favorite ways to get the most beauty nutrients from figs is to enjoy them in a smoothie. This is because figs’ seeds get pulverized in the blender, helping to release their stored antioxidants and polyphenolic flavonoids stored within them. If you can’t find fresh figs in your local market, dried figs can be enjoyed in moderation for this Green Harvest Smoothie.
Nutrient Rich Kale
Kale is a superior force that I indulge in often. It gives our systems major strength and major beauty points. Kale helps make sure you are properly expelling waste from your body thanks to its high fiber count. Combine this with its ability to combat free radicals and it’s no wonder why eating kale makes you feel so good.
This hearty leaf provides a substantial mix of chlorophyll (a major blood builder), protein-building amino acids, enzymes, minerals, and antioxidants. It’s now being recognized as providing comprehensive support for the body’s detoxification system, which is a major topic in all my Beauty Detox books.
Youthfully Rich Spinach
One of my all-time favorite beauty foods is spinach. It’s loaded with vitamin K and other beauty minerals (like manganese, calcium, magnesium, zinc, folate, and selenium). Spinach is a go-to dark-leafy green for many of my green smoothie recipes. It contains lipoic acid, which helps antioxidants C and E regenerate. We need these antioxidants working in at full capacity to help us radiate and glow!
Do you know that enjoying spinach can even help you absorb non-heme iron (the plant-based form of iron)? It’s true! We want to make sure that we get enough iron to help us carry oxygen around to our body’s cells. This allows us to have a healthy blood flow. And with healthy blood flow, we get a healthy body glow!
Nourishing Rich Chard
Chard is so versatile which is one of the reasons why I love it so much. It’s delicious in soups and stews, powerfully tasty in salads and so nourishing in smoothies. I’m using chard as my 3rd dark leafy-green in this smoothie because it truly nourishes beauty. Chard is rich in biotin. And biotin helps us grow lustrous hair and strong shiny nails by stimulating our body’s follicles.
This nourishing veggie also helps the blood sugar-regulating system within the body by aiding the slow release of glucose (sugar) into the bloodstream. Thank you chard! I am grateful for your all that you bring to the table!
And there you have it Beauties, my new Feel Radiant Green Harvest Smoothie. I hope you enjoy the richness that this smoothie provides. I’m always looking for ways to help enhance your inner and outer beauty and this smoothie is one of my new favorites! Be sure to tag me on Instagram in all your recipe creations! Wow, I don’t know why I have never considered using figs in my smoothie. I use all the other ingredients except the fig. I love figs!! Can’t wait to try it.

Maria
Just made this and its delicious! The figs are a great addition! This is one of my favorites now. Thank you Kimberly!
Excellent recipe! It’s now one of my favorites. Figs add a really great sweetness. Thank you Kimberly!
Thanks so much Patty. So happy you gave this recipe a try and like it! Sending lots of love! ;)
I’m going to have to try this! When I’ve seen fresh figs for sale, they usually come in a fairly large box which gives me “my fill of figs” for a while. I’ll have to check Whole Foods today to see if they sell either a small package or sell them individually!
Try freezing them whole. They work great that way in a smoothie ; )
Can figs be frozen successfully . Produce guy said no !
Hi Margaret…yes, figs can be put into freezer. I wash my ripe figs and remove the stems, and leave them whole or sometimes cut them in half. Give it a try and see how you do. Just make sure you find a freezer safe container and you should be good to go. I sometimes buy frozen figs at Trader Joe’s when they’re not at my regular grocery store or farmers market. Sending lots of love! ;)
I bought a large bag of organic dried figs recently – can I use those or do they need to be fresh/frozen. This smoothie sounds amazing!!!
Hi Mary! Great question – the dried figs might change the texture of the smoothie, so they wouldn’t be my first choice for this recipe. I recommend fresh or frozen. Sending you lots of love!
