It’s nice to have options to munch on when we need a bit of energy. For me it’s usually in the middle of the afternoon, post-‘Lil Bub’s nap when I’ve already been working since 8 am and it starts to get even more chaotic with fresh toddle energy! :) That’s around when I go snooping in the kitchen to see what I can get some support with, and I thank my lucky stars when I have healthy bites around, which is…
why I created my Feel Boosted Lemon Coconut Poppy Seed Bites…for all of us! These bites are the perfect snack to keep on hand, to boost your brain function, and to maintain your energy. We can all can feel a slump mid-day, and instead of reaching for (another) cup of coffee, you can have one of these nourishing bites.
My Feel Boosted Lemon Coconut Poppy Seed Bites recipe is geared to help you feel energized and help your body naturally cleanse!
They are so easy to make and filled with such amazing Beauty and energy nutrients. Check ’em out…
Get Boosted with Poppy Seeds
It’s not every day that you think of reaching for poppy seeds. You might find yourself eating them when they are sprinkled on some baked goods, but it’s about time to start adding them into your regular routine.
Why is that you might ask? Well Beauties, poppy seeds are an amazing enhancer to boost your brain function. Poppy seeds are a great source of minerals, like calcium, iron, and magnesium. And our bodies need these minerals to regulate brain activity and to develop neurons. They also aid in the production of neurotransmitters. Who would have known that such little seeds can do so much!?
Another way that poppy seeds can really boost your day is through their high amounts of dietary fiber. Consuming dietary fiber actually aids our digestive system. It helps us metabolize our foods and prevents constipation and other digestive problems. Digestive issues are a huge energy suck! We can feel so fatigued while our body is trying to process difficult to digest foods and assimilate (any) nutrients in them (ugh!). Luckily, foods high in fiber, like my Lemon Coconut Poppy Seed Bites, can help speed up these processes. In turn, we are gifted with more energy to enjoy throughout our day!
For the Love of Lemons
You all know how much I just LOVE lemons! They are pretty much one of nature’s perfect foods. Lemons help us absorb nutrients and they act as an astringent for the body. As you go through changes and the everyday stresses of life, our bodies continually need detox support. And my Lemon Coconut Poppy Seed bites are very capable of giving you the support you need, thanks to the lemons. Just one serving of lemons provides you with an impressive 187% of your daily requirements of vitamin C. WOW! Move over oranges, time for some more lemon in our lives.
Not only should lemons be recognized for their huge boost of vitamin C, but also for so many of their other minerals, including the strengthening mineral calcium. Well, do you know that just one lemon will provide you with 15mg of calcium? That’s right Beauties! Enjoy these Lemon Coconut Poppy Seed Bites and know that you are getting some extra calcium in there too. You’ll also be fueling up your body with magnesium, vitamin B6, potassium, and copper! Now isn’t that nice :)
Besides all the wonderful nutritional benefits these Lemon Coconut Poppy Seed Bites have to offer, they are just downright delicious! They are really easy to whip up and just such a fun, delicious treat to enjoy. If you have little ones running around the house, my bet is that they will love them too! I am so grateful to have you in the community!
Love of love to you,
These sound like the perfect snack i can eat through my pregnancy and postpartum. I am gathering recipes to support me postpartum. Do you think these would freeze well? I would love to read a postpartum / ayurveda inspired post to help mommas with nutrition during this tough time. I know they look down on left overs so freezing probably isn’t one of their teachings but its definitely useful in today’s busy and isolated community world.
I just made these and they are delicious. I will rarely make a sweet that isn’t cacao involved, but I knew these would be good. I am currently off of sunflower seeds :( , so I used equal parts raw walnuts, pistachios & pecans. Perfect! Thank you!
Sounds great Theresa…so happy you gave it a try and put your own twist to it. Lots of love! ;)
Made it… super yummy and bright ;)
So happy to hear it! Thanks for being such a strong support and lots of love! ;)

Hi Kimberly for the lemon poppy seed bites .. even though you don’t mention it .. do I have to soak the hemp and sunflower seeds?
Hi Rossella! You can certainly soak the seeds to make them easier to digest! Enjoy xx
Hello Kimberly,
I have to tell you that I used this recipe to make a raw cake base and also balls to top the cake with. The center of the cake was a vanilla cashew filling. I used it as a birthday cake and everyone couldnt stop talking about it for months!!
Thank you <3
Thank you so much for trying this recipe Lilja and for creating a new one! Love to hear when my Beauties get creative. Sending you so much love! Xo
