It is a new week which means it’s time for a new recipe! Today I am excited to share with you this new Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie, guaranteed to make you shine. This is one fast and simple way to hydrate and brighten your skin, while also giving your whole body a detoxifying boost.
If you’ve been following me for a while you know how much I love smoothies. There is one in particular that is very special to me, the Glowing Green Smoothie (GGS for short!), that I have been talking about for years. If you aren’t sure what I am talking about, you can learn more about this famous smoothie recipe here.
Like the GGS, this Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie is an easy way to enjoy loads of immune-boosting vitamins and beautifying minerals without much work. By blending foods before eating them, you are pre-digesting these foods so your body does not have to work to break as hard down foods. That way, you are saving your body energy during its digestion process. With so many wonderful minerals and nutrients inside fruits and veggies, enjoying them blended up together in this Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie is a powerful way to quickly reap their benefits.
Before I share with you all about the terrific ways that this smoothie can help you feel your best, I want to remind you of one quick tip. No amount of expensive beauty products or treatments can mitigate the effects that unhealthy food has on your skin, hair, and nails. The fuel you give your body influences how much your hair and skin glow and shine! And it’s for this reason that I absolutely love making new recipes for you each week. I want to make sure that you have loads of inspiration when you get in the kitchen so that you’re inspired to eat well and shine with all your inner beauty!

Okay now, let’s dive into some cucumber coolness. Believe it or not, these ordinary vegetables really are a powerhouse of nutrition. You might think that there isn’t much to the standard cucumber, but these understated veggies are ones that you definitely want to work into your diet.
This Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie recipe is filled with some impressive beauty food. With cucumber high in all the B vitamins (except for B12), zinc, iron, folic acid, calcium, magnesium and potassium, I want to drink this smoothie all day long. It gives you amazing amounts of energy while helping to repair and smooth the collagen in your skin. With multiple B vitamins and zero saturated fats/cholesterol, cucumbers are nourishing to our hair, and again, very hydrating. Cucumbers also have a good amount of vitamin K. Our bodies need vitamin K to help support our bone, joint and brain health.
Another cool fact: the flesh of cucumbers is made up of vitamin C and phytochemicals. The phytochemicals in cucumbers cause the collagen in your outer skin layer to tighten up. This further reduces the visibility of cellulite and wrinkles. If we are looking for anti-inflammatory foods that brighten your skin, cucumbers will do the trick! This is why you may see people using cucumber slices on their eyes. You can actually apply this train of thought to the skin all over your body. Rub a few cucumber slices on that pesky cellulite right before going to the pool or beach! You can even rub it on wrinkles before a photoshoot or an evening out on the town 🙂
Have you ever tried adding cilantro into a smoothie, Beauty? It is a game-changer, and for more than one reason! For starters, this citrusy, tangy herb packs some delicious punch. It’s an all-time flavor if you ask me. Cilantro really pops when it is mixed with the right ingredients. You may be familiar tasting it in Mexican dishes or Thai food. But don’t be scared to give it a try with my Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie recipe. A little bit of this green herb does so much good, not only for the flavor, but also for the goodness of your health.
This mighty herb is definitely one of my favorites. Its cleansing and detoxifying properties are down-right potent. Cilantro works with your body by process of chelation. You can think of chelation as essentially binding to heavy metals and then being escorted out. These heavy metals are nasty toxins that can do so much harm and damage to our systems. We all need to be flushing toxins out of our systems.
Heavy metals are aging and immune-suppressing, and diminish our beauty. They can also wreak havoc on hormones. Sadly these toxins can get into your body from the environment, foods you might eat like fish or meat, or even your water supply. Since heavy metals can enter the body in a number of ways, I encourage you to get cilantro into your diet on a regular basis. Enjoy it in this Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie, and check out some of my other recipes that utilize cilantro’s cleansing properties. We all deserve to reap the benefits of this herb for our entire wellbeing.
Another way to loosen up toxins and acidic waste from your system is with my new Feel Good Detoxy 2.0.
This natural detoxifier gently aids in the elimination of daily toxins in a safe and effective way with no harsh or irritating herbs that create discomfort or dependency. Unlike other colon cleanse pills or natural laxatives, Detoxy 2.0 works by delivering more oxygen to your colon and overall body, helping to transport it out via elimination. Oxygen, delivered this way, improves detoxification and supports the growth of friendly bacteria. This leads to better digestive and intestinal health and increased vitality. Try it out today!
The last ingredient I’m highlighting for you today is the mouth-watering strawberry. This superstar is a summer gem and truly ties my Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie all together. Strawberries are juicy and sweet and literally bursting with mouth-watering flavor.
Let me mention, it is so important that you aim to eat these fruits seasonally. This goes for all of our produce. Though you might find fresh strawberries available during odd times of the year, these red gems are best enjoyed during the summer months. Not only will they be more flavorful, but they will also be at their prime and packed with nutrition. And just as important as eating these foods seasonally is only eating strawberries that are organic. They have consistently been a top Dirty Dozen produce item on the Environmental Working Group list!
Speaking of prime nutrition, strawberries offer some substantial benefits for your skin! Strawberries have the presence of Vitamin C, salicylic acid and antioxidants. If you’re looking to brighten your skin and tighten your pores, then salicylic acid is just the thing. It works by removing dead cells from your skin which encourages new cell growth. Also, ellagic acid prevents skin damage—making your skin look younger and fresher—exfoliating and soothing your skin by removing impurities.
Let me not forget to mention that this superstar can also help with the prevention of acne. Strawberries are amazingly effective in clearing acne and reducing oil buildup. Cha-ching! Who doesn’t want a little skin brightening, oil-reducing, yummy strawberry now? I sure do!
And if you have extra strawberries when you are done making this Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie recipe, why not give your skin some love and try a little DIY mask? Mash up about ½ cup of sliced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of organic honey. Apply to your face for 10 minutes. Voila! This is a great natural aid in helping to clear up pesky blemishes. Don’t you love DIY masks?! You’re welcome 🙂
That’s all I have for you today, Beauties. Go ahead and whip up this yummy Cucumber Cilantro Strawberry Smoothie and tell me what you think. You can reach out to me on my Instagram page. And be sure to share this recipe on your Pinterest board too.
Sending you so much love today and always!

HI Kimberley. Do we peel the cucumbers? Have you tried the smoothie with almond or oat milk?
Hi Karen! There’s no need to peel the cucumber – the skin contains lots of nutrients, which is why I like to keep it on 🙂 Just be sure to get organic! I have not tried this recipe with almond or oat milk yet, but I am sure they would work perfectly well as a substitute for coconut milk. Happy blending! xx
Another delicious smoothie!! Refreshing, cool, and slightly sweet! I wouldn’t have mixed cilantro and strawberries but I have never doubted your taste in goodness! Thank you Kimberly! ????
This recipe sounds so exotic! Cant wait to try. Do you use coconut milk from a can?
Hi Beauty! I typically use organic coconut milk from a carton for this recipe. Let me know how you like the smoothie 😉 Happy blending! xx
Thank you! Will go purchase carton of coconut milk (never knew they exist). Am so excited. Want to surprise the fam with this one. Also, can we use cilantro with stalk or without. Coming from a South Asian background, our grandmas always told us never to consume the stalk of cilantro. is there any truth in it?
LOVED the smoothie so did my 18 year old! She says it was da bomb.com!????????I would still like to know if cilantro stalks are ok to use or just the leaves in general. The smoothie was quite quite refreshing esp in this hot weather. Will make again for sure. Thank you!!!
Hi Beauty! I’m so glad you and your daughter loved the smoothie! It’s totally fine to use the cilantro stalks in this smoothie, since they’ll be blended right up 🙂 Sending you lots of love xx
Great smoothie – love the combination – my question is regarding the 1 cup coconut milk – that seems to be a lot of calories and fat for 1 serving – is it ok to have on a daily basis?
Hi Beauty! Thanks for checking out this recipe! I use 1 cup of organic, unsweetened coconut milk from a carton (not a can), which is much more diluted and has only about 45 calories and a few grams of fat. While I don’t like to count calories, the carton variety is a much lighter version. You can always substitute almond or another plant-based milk in this recipe if that works better for your body! xx
Enjoy! Let me know how you like it Beauty! xx
Can you use English cucumber?
Hi Beauty! Yes, you can use English cucumber. Just be sure to get organic, since we’ll be leaving the skin on for this recipe. Let me know how it turns out for you 🙂 xx
Does a Persian cucumber work?
Hi Beauty! Yes, you can absolutely use Persian cucumber for this recipe. Happy blending! xx
Kim, thank you for yet another delicious recipe!!! So refreshing in this hot weather. I had English cucumber and put basil since I had no cilantro but kept all other ingredients. Loved it and will make it again! ❤️
Hi Beauty! Yum, that sounds delicious 😉 So glad you enjoyed the smoothie and found it to be refreshing. Stay cool and sending you lots of love xx
Sounds delicious. Any suggestions on substitute for coconut nectar?
Hi Beauty! You could always substitute maple syrup or skip the sweetener altogether 😉 Enjoy and let me know how it turns out! xx
Your recipes are the best!
Did the smoothly really nice I put a banana to make it sweeter instead of coconut nectar worked well , ????
Hi Kimberley, I tried this smoothie with 1 lebanese cucumber, coriander (aka cilantro,- I’m from Australia), strawberries, organic unsweetened coconut milk, maple syrup, half a lemon, and ice. I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the great recipes.
Hi Beauty! Sounds like a delicious twist on this recipe! I am so glad you enjoyed it 😉 Sending you lots of love in Australia xx
