Namaste Beauties,
Welcome to our Spring Grounding Meditation. We have been through quite a winter and spring is a beautiful time for allowing the natural energy that’s inside of us to come forward. At the same time, we want to stay grounded and rooted in our self and to feel sovereign over that energy.
This includes all the ways that we choose to use that energy. We want to avoid becoming depleted and slough off the stagnation of winter and enjoy feeling our fullest energy of spring.
And now, let’s begin our meditation…
Guided Meditation
Go ahead and take a comfortable seated position. If seated in a chair, please slide forward so that your feet are flat on the ground and you have a nice strong base. Or you can sit on the floor, in a cross-legged position with your hips elevated with a pillow or a cushion. Either way, go ahead and lift your spine.
Go ahead and start taking a deep breath in through your nose … and clearing exhale out through your mouth … one more, just like that … and exhale …
Now go ahead and place both of your hands on your lower belly …
As you continue to take a deep inhale again, and just feeling your belly rise, then you can start to open out your hands, a few inches away from your belly, just exaggerating that feeling of fullness, and then exhale …
Let your belly deflate and bring your hands back into your belly.
Again, deepest inhale, down into your belly, hands on the belly and then expanding out a few inches beyond your belly, feeling that fullness, that energy inside of you and then exhaling and deflating down. Keep going with that movement a few times on your own.
What we’re doing here is we’re connecting down to our deepest center, in our lower belly region, which is where our Muladhara chakra lies, as well as part of our Svadhisthana chakra, Manipura chakra, deep center grounding part of us. The part of us that has the ability to remain really centered, no matter what’s going on outside of us, in the world, in the collective.
Just keep breathing down, down, down, down to your center.
Go ahead and let your hands rest now on your lap with your palms facing up.
Keep with the breath, nice and slow and steady and deep, in and out through your nose, down into that center.
Our center is always there. It is there regardless of the season. It is there regardless of people around us, circumstances, events, shifting politics, whatever it is, we always have our center and it’s important now in Spring, as we feel this burst of energy and potentially feel like being more extroverted and outside more, that we allow the freedom of that energy to blossom forth. But at the same time, we maintain our connection to our center and this connection will keep us grounded. This connection will help us feel sustainable energy versus up and down and this and that, which ultimately depletes us, but we can feel really rooted like the roots of a tree, even as the branches flourish and grow outward into beautiful leaves and beautiful fruit.
Keep breathing deep down into your center, feeling the truth and the deep sense of groundedness that is always with you …and making a choice now to connect to that groundedness that is inside of you …
Setting the Intention for Today
I’m going to say some words around our intentions today. You can listen to them out loud, or you can whisper them, or just listen to me speaking down to your deepest, deepest essence.
I Am grounded and I Am centered from within myself.
I Am grounded and I Am centered from within myself.
I Am grounded and I Am centered from within myself.
I Am grounded and I Am centered from within myself.
Take another few deep breaths … just letting this realization filter through your body … reminding yourself that you always have the center inside of you and you can always make the conscious choice to connect with it, to tap into it …
You can be, you can feel deeply secure and safe from within yourself and not needing it from anything else outside of yourself or anyone else.
Bringing your hands together in Anjali Mudra prayer pose in front of your hearts and just taking a moment for gratitude, seeing what spontaneously arises.
I Am so grateful for our time together, to be on this path together, and for our connection.
Sending you so much love. Om Shanti, Namaste, peace and love.
