Welcome to our Spring Awakening Meditation. We talked a bit in our grounding meditation about really feeling centered as our energy starts to feel like it’s blooming and flourishing. I would encourage you to do that meditation first to make sure that you feel really grounded within yourself, which is fundamental.
Now, with this meditation, we want to align with the flow of beautiful, outward spring energy, which is the energy that we see running through the trees, the flowers, the buds opening and the sunlight on our skin. Imagine this beautiful energy that has the ability to blast through any stagnation that might have accrued in our systems from winter.
Any sort of fear or heaviness that we may have been carrying with us. The energy of spring is awakening and reawakening, and what we’re going to do in this meditation is to tap into that energy.
And now, let’s begin our meditation…
Guided Meditation
I invite you now to take a comfortable seat, either in a chair with your feet flat on the ground, or sitting cross-legged on the floor with a meditation cushion or any sort of pillow, just to elevate your hips.
Then go ahead and take a deep breath in and a deep breath out. Just let your body settle in, start to lift your spine so that your shoulders align over your hips, and that your chin is parallel with the ground.
Take a nice deep breath now through your nose and exhale out through your nose.
Now I’d like you to place both your right hand and your left hand over your heart and just feeling for a moment that incredible pulse saying infinite love energy in your heart. As we inhale, you’re going to open your hands out to the side horizontally, so like you’re spreading open like wings.
Then as you exhale, you’re going to bring your hands back to your heart, and you’re going to cross the opposite hand on top.
Again, you’re going to inhale and expand outward.
Then you’re going to exhale and pull all the way in. Just keep going with your breath. Try to go in a fluid pattern. It could be a little faster, a little bit slower, but just really feeling the energy of your anahata chakra, this beautiful bursting heart energy.
Then as you open your hands, just imagining that, that heart, vitality and connection with spirit and energy just flourishes and grows, expands out of that center, out of that part of your body and connects outward, and then we pull back in.
Another round or two on your own, just feeling this fullness of life all around, and especially now with the spring energy of awakening and opening and, again, expansion. This is the expansive part of the seasonal cycle.
After your next round, go ahead and let your hands rest on your lap, palms facing up. Stay. Just feeling receptive to the energy that’s all around.
Keep breathing deeply in and out through your nose. As you inhale, I’d like you to focus on just connecting and pulling in all the sacred, beautiful energy from all around, and then as you exhale out, just feeling that expansion that comes with deep, deep connection, it’s safe to expand. It’s safe to tap into all this beautiful energy. You are already grounded within yourself.
As you stay grounded and you expand your energy, you will stay connected to your intuition, and the best ways to use your energy and the best places to focus your energy. We stay connected to our center, to our truth, to our true self as we walk through the worlds, and as we allow this incredible energy to flow through us and to expand outward.
Setting the Intention for Today
I want to say a few words around our intention. You can listen. You can whisper them. You can say them to yourself silently, whatever resonates with you in this moment.
I Am the alive energy of spring.
I Am open and receptive to the beautiful energy that is all around me, and I welcome it in.
I Am open and receptive to this beautiful energy of spring and I now welcome it in.
I Am open and receptive to this beautiful energy of spring and I now welcome it in.
I feel alive and reawakened in this now moment.
I feel alive and reawakened in this now moment.
I feel alive and reawakened in this now moment.
Just taking a few more deep breaths, letting it all integrate in. It is safe to be energized and to tap into this beautiful energy and anything that was blocking the path to do that or anything that felt heavy, we now breathe out of our bodies with each exhale in this moment.
We know it’s always a choice. We choose aliveness. We choose to be reawakened, to be excited about life, to be curious about all that life has to offer and new experiences and feeling the fullest flow of this beautiful energy that is within us and all around us.
Take another deep breath in and a nice long, deep breath out.
Bring your hands together into meditation. Palms pressed together in front of your heart.
Take a deep breath in, feeling gratitude.
Now, calling in gratitude, anything that spontaneously arises from your heart.
I am so grateful that we are doing this meditation together right now. I do not believe in coincidences. I’m so grateful for our connection.
