If I had to come up with a list of FAQs, one of the most commonly asked questions is this: “Are there foods I can eat to boost my metabolism?”
An efficiently functioning system allows your body to make the most of the nutrients you consume, and when you eat the right foods, they promote a healthy metabolism. It’s a positive feedback cycle that’s easy to develop when you eat whole, natural foods.
By definition, your metabolism is your body’s ability to break down foods for energy and synthesize nutrients. When your metabolism functions efficiently, you will have more energy, expel waste more efficiently, and be less likely to gain extra weight.
A great thing about the Beauty Detox Power is that it naturally promotes a healthy metabolism, because it is designed to continually cleanse your system to keep it working optimally.
Each of the foods I recommend in the Beauty Detox Power serves more than one purpose in the body, and many have a specific effect on your metabolism. Here’s my list of foods that will help heat up your body’s furnace.
1. Coconut oil
While some people have maligned coconut oil over the years as a source of unhealthy saturated fat, recent studies show it is not only healthy, but it also has positive effects on your metabolism. Although it is a saturated fat, coconut oil doesn’t have any cholesterol.
Instead, it consists of medium-chain fatty acids that your body burns into energy rather than storing. Coconut oil also stimulates thyroid function, firing up your body’s metabolic furnace.
How to use it: You can incorporate coconut oil into your diet by swapping it for all of the oils you regularly use to cook.
2. Cayenne and other hot peppers
A little dash of heat does more than just add flavor to the foods you eat. Adding cayenne or other hot peppers also raises your body temperature, turning up your metabolism. Cayenne has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant qualities, as well.
How to use it: Add a dash of cayenne to guacamole or use it to zip up vinaigrette. You can also make up a batch of my ginger-cayenne tea. Add hot peppers to vegetable soup, salad, or quinoa.
3. Bee Pollen
Bee pollen are concentrated grains that join together to form yellow pellets or granules. Many researchers believe bee pollen can help improve metabolism and weight loss efforts.
They are packed with amino acids, including the amino acid phenylalanine, which helps to control hunger and appetite. I’ve found that consuming bee pollen is so nutritionally complete that it helps you eat less overall food in a day, and helps balance cravings.
Bee pollen also contains vitamins C, E and most B vitamins (except B12), which help you deal with stress, improve digestion and increase energy. They provide about 25% bioavailable protein, from complete amino acids.
Start with a very small amount if you are new, and build up to about 1 Tbs. a day, straight or mixed in an almond milk or chia seed smoothie. Sometimes I just literally eat a spoonful on my way out the door to yoga, mid-afternoon!
Please note: If you have an allergenic reaction to bees, or a health condition like asthma you should not consume bee pollen.
3. Ginger
Fresh grated ginger is considered a “warming” spice in Ayurveda, causing your body’s furnace to heat up. Along with metabolism boosting effects, it also breaks up mucous, reduces inflammation, soothes the digestive system and improves blood circulation.
How to use it: Peel and grate the ginger. Add it to salad dressings, stir-fries or nut pates. You can also make ginger lemon tea with it, or add it to the Glowing Green Smoothie.
4. Cinnamon
Like other warming spices, cinnamon can boost your metabolism by increasing your body temperature. It also contains manganese and iron. Recent studies show cinnamon helps your body manage blood sugar effectively, which may be valuable for people who have developed a sluggish metabolism caused by insulin resistance.
How to use it: Sprinkle some cinnamon in warm almond milk like my Almost Raw Vegan Vanilla Latte, or mix with chia seeds and almond milk to make a yummy snack pudding.
5. Garlic
Along with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, garlic can help loosen up toxins and mucus, and promote them being flushed from your body. Like other warming foods, it raises your body temperature, boosting your metabolism.
How to use it: Peel the garlic and chop or mince it. Cook it lightly in soups and stir fries, or use a little bit of raw garlic in vinaigrette.
6. Lemon juice
Fresh lemon juice adds enzymes and vitamin C to your diet. It also helps detoxify the liver, which is your main fat burning organ. By cleansing your liver with lemon juice, your metabolism will function more efficiently.
How to use it: Add lemons to your Glowing Green Smoothie®, squeeze it on salads or fresh vegetables, and definitely start your day with hot water and fresh lemon!
7. Sea vegetables
Not only are sea vegetables like dulse and nori loaded with the nutrients your body needs, but they also offer a welcome saltiness without adding table salt. Sea vegetables contain iodine, which supports thyroid function and boosts metabolism.
How to use it: If you’ve never purchased sea vegetables, you can find them at health food stores, Asian groceries, or in the Asian section of your local supermarket. Sprinkle sea vegetables on soups, stir fries or salads.
8. Water
Your body needs water for hydration and to function correctly. It is also essential in supporting healthy metabolic function, so you need to drink plenty in order for your metabolism to work properly.
How to use it: Drink pure, fresh water between meals rather than with them.
9. Cabbage
Cabbage is a huge weight loss booster because it contains high amounts of B Vitamins, considered natural metabolism boosters. It also helps to eliminate free radicals and uric acid (the acidic by-product that heightens in the body from consuming excessive amounts of animal protein).
How to use it: Get your daily dose in Probiotic & Enzyme Salad
10. Almonds, Walnuts and Cashews
Raw uncooked nuts (with the exception of peanuts) give a high dose of fiber, protein and enzymes crank up your metabolism and help promote a healthy heart. Watch portion control- have about a handful or so.
How to use it: Try a nut pate for dinner, or have almonds or walnuts on your Dharma’s Kale Salad occasionally, instead of avocado.
11. Glowing Green Smoothie® (GGS)
I probably sound like a broken record, but I’ll say it again anyway. Because I want to spread the love! The GGS is the best way to start your day, because it gives your body everything it needs to kick start your metabolism first thing in the morning.
Plus, it provides nutrition, fiber, and energy to quell cravings and keep you away from metabolism-harming substances like caffeine and diet soda.
How to use it: Mix up a glowing green smoothie every morning. It’s that easy. I definitely recommend getting a Vitamix, which makes it taste smooth and delicious. If you use a regular blender, it might be chunky and nasty, which certainly won’t inspire you to want to make and drink it every morning.
Is it okay to put cinnamon in the GGS? I’m not very fond of the celery taste. I can handle 1 stalk (not 3-4 as in the recipe). Cinnamon takes the edge of the celery taste.
How many calories a day (approximately) does you’re menu in phase 2 contain? I’m a little bit worried about not getting enough energy/calories.
I find it quite difficult to know what the appropriate portion size is? With an active and exercising lifestyle, getting enough energy is very important to me…
Thanks!
Hi Tina, if you prefer the taste of cinnamon to cut through the celery you can throw in a dash or substitute celery for another green. Flex it to your preference! For portioning, check out the section in the BDS for more details, and feel free to customize portion size for your activity level and constitution.
Hi Kim!
Hope you’ve been doing great! I have a couple of more questions for you ;-)
The first is regarding women’s daily calcium requirement which is about 1,000 mg/ day. I know you mentioned in The Beauty Detox Solution that romaine lettuce and spinach are great plant sources of calcium. So I was wondering if you knew about how much is in the GGS? Since giving up dairy, I just want to make sure that I’m getting enough calcium :-)
Also, I was wondering what are your favorite Yogi brand teas?
Thanks <3
Hi Nicole, the GGS is packed with calcium (along with other vitamins and amino acids). Rather than just looking at what the daily recommended ingestion amounts are for calcium, remember that when our bodies are more alkaline we are keeping calcium in our systems, rather than excreting it out of urine, which is what happens when our bodies are acidic. Check out this section in The Beauty Detox Solution. I don’t drink so many of the Yogi brand teas but I used to like Peach Detox. Xx
Hi Kim, do you practice putting hydrogen peroxide or chlorine dioxide in your water to alkalize? Read about this in pH Miracle. Thank you!
Hi Jacqueline, I don’t personally do that practice that Dr. Young recommends…though I’ve used hydrogen peroxide in colonics. Xx
Thank you!
Hi Kimberly,
Do you have any tips on making sure the nuts and seeds we buy are raw?
I’ve been sticking to sesame, hemp, and flax seeds because I’m pretty sure they’re really raw, but I want to start getting other seeds and nuts.
Thanks!
Hey Marcheline, cashews are never truly raw b/c they have to be steamed out from a toxic shell coating. Check the label and the brand…some other nuts may not be. Xx ps- check out chia seeds!
Hi Kim,
I bought your book (love it!) and have been following the mean plan for about 3 weeks now. I had colonics done recently and I was told I have Candida-badly. I’m also experiencing very very bad breakouts around my mouth, is this a symptom of the Candida going away? Is there anything you know of (supplements?) that I can take that will make this more manageable? Or a time line of when it will stop? It’s extremely discouraging. Thanks so much!
Hey Sara, Be sure you are following Blossoming Beauty, and taking lots of probiotics while eating Probiotic & Enzyme Salad. Drink lots of lemon water between meals, and try the Mag07 supplement and get more colonics! You will be much better off in time, so don’t get frustrated. Xx
Thanks so much :)
Another awesome post Kimberly. you are marvelous.
Thanks bunches
Thank you, Randy!
Kimberly,
My apologies that my question doesn’t pertain to your recent blog. I was wondering if you have been initiated in Kriya Yoga? I am seeking how I can be.
Warmest regards,
Jamie
Hi Jamie! I am indeed a practicing Kriyaban. If you are at all drawn to meditation of the path of Paramahansa Yogananda, I wholeheartedly encourage you to pursue it. Check out this link for more info, and for applying for The Lessons, which are nothing short of amazing. https://www.yogananda-srf.org/
Shanti! Xx Kimberly
Hey Kim! I love your blog (and the GGS, BEST breakfast ever!) and appreciate you sharing such great and helpful information! Quick question, I love making veggie stir fries as a quick and easy way to have a healthy meal…however, I am having a hard time finding a healthy sauce to use that isn’t or does not contain soy sauce. What’s a healthy tasty stir fry sauce I can purchase or make?? Thanks so much!
Hi, Health Enthusiast!
Have you tried Braggs Amino Acids? Or is that not what you are looking for?
Hey Jaymee! Thanks for the reply! I have never heard of Braggs Amino Acids…is it a dressing of some sort?
it’s like soy sauce :)
Oh ok, thanks for the tip! :-D
Coconut Secret (Brand) Coconut Aminos. They also carry coconut vinegar which is nice to alternate with Apple Cider Vinegar in recipes. It is not as strong. They carry Coconut Nectar for use instead of Agave Nectar; however, you might prefer Navitas Palm Sugar instead of the nectar.
Hey Susan, thanks for the reply! I have never heard of these aminos that you and Jaymee speak of. Is it a dressing that is used alone or are you supposed to add it to something else in order to use it as a sauce/dressing?
Kimberly,
I have gone through your new book The beauty detox solution and got some new insight about eating right foods. Thanks for that.
From last 3 weeks I have added GSS as the morning breakfast and also added hot lemon water as first thing in the morning. I have also added probiotic and mangesium oxide supplement to my daily routine. I am vegetarian and have stopped drinking milk in recent weeks.
I have acne problem since last 15 years and I was hoping my skin would start looking better after making these few changes in my diet. But it looks like I am getting more skin breakouts than I used and now my face is full of them.
I am really disappointed and would like you to suggest if there are any special foods which I need to add to my diet which would help me in getting rid of acne and scars.
Arati – do you get enough sun? If not, have you ever tried supplementing with Vitamin D3? It worked for me!
It takes longer than a month to calm the acne, your body is pushing out all the dairy grossness. I’ve had acne since I was 10, it got worse the first month, but after the second it started to calm down and has become less than ever before. Be patient, it will be worth the wait.
Thanks Talia for the reply.
I will give it a shot. Hard to get enough sun in Michigan.
Arati,
Getting more breakouts is a sign of cleansing. Your body is getting rid of the toxins through the biggest organ we have – the skin. According to Kimberly your body will get more cleansed with time and later you should see much less breakouts if any at all. So don’t get discouraged. It will get worse before it gets better.
Regards,
Iva
Arati – The breakouts are your body detoxing. Have you ever done colonics or enemas? It will draw the toxins out thru releasing the waste that is being awakened by eating so cleanly. And/or slow down your cleanse by eating cooked foods. I always break out on my right cheek if I’m not balanced and know it is time to adjust. Kimberly – do you know what the different areas of the face mean in terms of what organs they correlate to? Could you do a post about how to learn from that and what adjustments to make? Thanks for all you do!
Heather – Thanks for your reply. Its great to have support along the journey. I am little unfortable after I heard the process of colonics. I don’t have any gravity centered pratictionar in my area. But they do hydrolic colon cleaning. I am not sure if I should dare to go for one instead. As you said you have problem with your right cheek, I mainly have problems in lower half portion of my face. Any advice from Kimberly is highly apprecited.
Hi Kimberly!
Related to skin problems, I am almost out of the organic kaia house face products (wash, cleanser, cream) I was using this summer and want to see what you recommend and I’m just wondering if you recommend any certain cleansers to use.
Please let me know what you think!
(by the way I LOVE your book. I’m a sophomore in college and I got into the raw food this summer and then read your book right before coming to school, and have already told so many people about it and how amazing it is! You’re a great role model, thank you!
Hi Maggie, thank you! I’ve been using the Beauty Without Cruelty 3% ALA cleanser and I love it. Pai is another good natural brand.
Stay connected! Xx
Thank you so much, just looked it up, and its only $10.99, I’ll be sure to get that soon! Also, I know you’re no longer associated with it, but do you still use the Solution, or do you recommend other facial products/creams? (maybe a blog to come?)
Thanks again!
Arati, unfortunately these things take time! You are on the right track, stick with it! Your body is cleansing and moving around toxins that have been stored in your body for years and years. This is a pretty common response to cleansing. To speed it up I suggest colonics, or at the very least lots of home enemas. Stay motivated and stay in touch! Xx Kimberly
Hi Kim,
I loved your book and enjoyed GGS all summer. I’ve lost weight & have been feeling great! Now that it’s getting cooler outside, I have a hard time having a cold breakfast. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Ginger
Hi Ginger, remember to start your day with the hot water with lemon, so you feel the warmth that you need right away You can always follow up your GGS with a bowl of warm rolled oat cereal or some Detox Tea to heat things up. Remember the incredible benefits enlaced in the GGS, it’s important to drink no matter how chilly it may be outside ☺ xx Kimberly
Hi Kimberly,
I read your book and started your diet immediately! It’s been about 6 weeks and I already notice a difference. I have a question for you and am really hoping you reply!!! In the past year, my hormone levels have dropped and I have stopped having periods. I started doing acupuncture and she told me that my weak digestive system has caused this. She recommends doing the Blood Type Diet (eat certain foods and avoid other according to your blood type). What are your thoughts on this? I am type A+ so the recommended diet is vegan/vegetarian, but it says I should avoid certain vegetables like cabbage, all peppers, potatoes, etc. I don’t want to give up the Probiotic & Enzyme Salad! I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Thanks so much!!
Hi Lacey, hormones can be normalized as the entire body can get normalized. It is also important to make sure you are having enough omega 3 fatty acids, which influence prostaglandins, which are like “super hormones” in our bodies through sources like chia seeds.
I’m not a big proponent for the Blood Type Diet. No matter what blood type you have, your stomach and other organs and digestive tract functions the same way. While people have different bodies and may need more of less of certain foods (bio-individuality) I have not seen much in solid support of eating for your blood type. Probiotic-rich foods, such as P & E Salad, which is raw sauerkraut, is in my opinion, one of the most important foods in the entire diet. Xx
Your blog is just too good Kim!
I’ve started to read your book and only after 3 pages I can already applaud your efforts with sincerity.
Continue playing your record!
Esop
Thanks Esop! It means a lot xx :)
Hello Kimberly,
Thanks for the amazing health tips!!! I love your book!!
:)
That’s great, Tammy! You’re welcome xx
Great post as always, Kim! I’m drinking a raw vegan vanilla latte right now. They are perfect for the fall weather and make for a great evening snack!
Yum! xx
Hi Kimberly, I have a question about the probiotic and enzyme salad. I have been purchasing raw saurkraut from my local health food store instead of making it, but recently noticed the sodium content. I was wondering if i would effect the benefits of eating it, if i rinsed it with water first to cut down on the salt. I am really sensitive to water retention, and seeing the label was enough for me to stop eating it!
Hey Mel, that’s one of the big reasons that I encourage people to make it themselves. I don’t use salt in the P & E salad when I make it for myself. Once you learn, it is so easy to do. Rinsing it might remove many of the probiotics that is the point of eating it. Most commercial brands use a ton…so again we are left with making it for ourselves! Xx
Hi Kim!
Here are some P&E dilemmas I have:
-Is the Hawthorne Valley Farm brand that can be purchased at Lifethyme okay?
-In your demo, you do put a good amount of salt in, so I’m a bit confused when you say you don’t put salt in when you make your own.
-Also, every time I’ve tried to make the P&E salad, I’ve failed. I pack in the salted cabbage very tightly in my mason jar (as your demo explains), and when I fill in some water, it doesn’t mix in with the cabbage, and rather starts filling up right above it, so I am not sure how much water to put it. (in your demo, the water seems to mix with the cabbage as soon as you start pouring, and then you stop where the cabbage ends at the top.)
-I also never know when it is ready. Is it exactly 5 days? how can we tell? and do we transfer it to the fridge after the 5 days to sit there for a few more days before opening?
Mine came out tasting like plastic, rubbery, chemical sauerkraut. It was somewhat fizzy too. :/
PLEASE HELP.
Thank you Kim,
Pamela
I made my own version of GGS. At first I thought it was going to taste bad.But I was pleasantly surprised how tasty it was. Even my mom is drinking it. (She usually is always skeptical about my eating habits).
I love the idea of drinking alkaline juice in the morning. Its healthy and refreshing. Thanks for the great idea Kim!
Navyatha.
You’re welcome! I love that it’s become a family affair :)
Hi Kimberly,
I am a huge fan of The Beauty Detox Solution- I read/re-read it all the time! Having been vegan for a while, I now incorporate more greens and raw food into my diet- I see it as an overall lifestyle change rather than a detox, and I have enjoyed most of the detox effects. My issue is that I have lost a lot of weight in the past few months-too much in fact. I am pretty seriously underweight, but would like to gain weight in a very healthy way. I have seen a nutritionist about these issues, but her recommendations include some questionable fat sources as well as a lot of “bad beauty pairings”. I am wondering what I can add to my diet in order to put on weight, besides/in addition to avocados and raw nuts, which I consume everyday now. Is it possible to enjoy the effects of the beauty “detox”, while putting on weight?
I really appreciate your time- sorry this has turned into a novel-thank you so much for everything!
-K
Hey Kathy, that’s wonderful to hear! I couldn’t agree more about incorporating greens as a lifestyle change ☺ It is absolutely possibly to enjoy the benefits of the BDS while gaining healthy weight. Keep healthy oils like olive oil on your salads. If you are having your GGS in the morning, follow it up with oatmeal, so you have something more heavy in the morning. Have larger portions of quinoa and grains, and eat things like avocado sandwiches with 2 pieces of millet bread at lunch. Yes, more nuts and avocados and coconuts. Just work to add more denseness of healthy BDS foods, by shifting your percentages a bit.
Thank you so much Kim! I really appreciate it!
Hey Kim
I am really battling to find romaine lettuce here is South Africa, our veggie stores just dont have any. Is there another substitute that I can use? My hubbie and I are dying to try your GGS!
Warm Regards
She mentioned you can switch up the lettuces to get a full range of the different nutrients and what not, like red leaf, green leaf, kale, etc. no ice berg though.
Hey Kirsten, just try whatever greens are local and available! I was in SA ☺ and I know there are lots of local greens- maybe rape? The recipe in only a basic one, I always encourage people to mix and match. Xx
Hello Kim,
Love your book and going out of the subject, (sorry) I work in a doctors office and i over head patients talking about the wonders and miracle of Alkaline Water. What are your thoughts? Thanks:)
Hi Deanne, thanks! We want to consume a great amount of alkaline-forming foods. High quality water is also really important, and I’ve always stressed using a good water filter which removes many of the acidic, heavy metals and toxins. There may be some more reputable “alkaline” water brands for sale in the market than others, especially as that buzz word is catching on. Xx
Can I add bee pollen to my GGS?
Sure! You can sprinkle some in before you blend, or after!
I mix chia seeds with bee pollen and water in a small dish. It tastes really good and gives me a ton of energy. Is this OK?
Sounds delicious, and it’s fantastic! xx
Kimberly,
I am confused as to how sprouts combine. Do sunflower sprouts combine as seeds? Mung, lentil, and bean sprouts as beans? Are they ok to eat or are they an “oops”? Are there any neutral sprouts?
Thank you so much appreciate your guidance!
which magnesium oxygen supplements would you recommend?
Great book Kimberly:) Very Inspiratonal!
Hi Kim
I am loving your GGS’s and have been drinking them for only 1 week now. I used to struggle with breakfast but not anymore. I am experiencing some bloating. Does this normally happen? Will it go away? I have PCOS and Hashimoto’s Hyper Thyroid and suffer from Candida. But I have to say I do have a lot more energy and my skin is looking a bit better. Is there anything I can take supplement wise or add to my GGS to help?
Thanks.
Hey Kimberly,
in regards to your post; don’t you think the harmful effects of metabolism should also be taking into account? When I was very much into weight-lifting, trimming down, eating low fat animal protein, etc, I bought into the whole ‘ speeding up your metabolism thing’. But now Ive come to understand more of what the metabolism is and does. metabolic by-products are very acidic and the faster your metabolism works the more acidic you would get. Fast metabolism also means accelerated aging and increased risk of chronic disease. Just wondering what your thoughts on this were!
Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for your great book! We have enjoyed the recipes and are losing weight and my skin is clearing up too. I have a question about the probiotic and detox salad. Is it supposed to be soft or crunchy? Ours came out as soft, almost a cooked quality in the cabbage. Is that correct or have we done something wrong in making it? The temp. was about 60 – 65 degrees and it did bubble and there is a fermentation taste (as in alcohol). Any advice would be great!
Thanks,
Sue
Hi Kimberly,
I have been drinking your Glowing Green Smoothie for about 2 weeks now. I was wondering about the quantity to drink. I make the full recipe and I drink most if not all 60 oz every day. Needless to say i still only visit the restroom every other or every 3 days. Am I drinking too much? Should I cut back? Any suggestions as to what else I can do to keep things “regular”?
I am looking at this for weight loss and I dropped almost 6 lbs in my first week and a half but nothing since then. What else can I do?
Any reply you have would be greatly appreciated!!
P.S I bought your book yesterday. It is very hard to find in stores around my place. So far its been a great read.
Thank you
Karen
Hey Karen- see my reply to your other comment. xx
Hi Kimberly,
I have been drinking your GGS for almost 3 weeks now. I really enjoy them. I know the recipe makes 60 oz and you would recommend drinking 16-32 oz every day. I actually drink the whole thing. Is that too much or should I cut down? I am using the smoothies to aid in weight loss. I have also noticed I’m not reg. Is that probably because I’m drinking too much?
Is there something I can add to the smoothie to help in being reg?
I also just bout your book and I LOVE it!!
Karen
Hey Karen!
Thank you!
When you make big changes in your diet, it can temporarily back you up. The GGS is really high in fiber already, which helps with regularity. But if you’re diet was acidic before, you can get backed up before releasing more. Try the Mag07 supplement I recommend.
Also, if you’re having that much that’s great, but you need to cut back on your other foods. It should be the only thing you consume in your mornings, and it should be your snack between lunch and dinner. Have a lighter, salad-based lunch and a sensible dinner. xx :)
Hi Kimberly.
I have been drinking your GGS for about 4 weeks now. I’m finding that it’s getting difficult to get them in. I was drinking the entire recipe, and have lost some weight. I’m affraid that maybe it’s because I’m wanting to go back to the way I used to eat. I think maybe I’ve lost my motivation or I need to find a way to spruce up my smoothie.
Any suggestions? I really don’t want to start gaining again and I do feel better when I drink them. I have also stopped taking my supplements that I used to take because I thought I was lacking in them.
Any help you can give me to spruce them up and stay motivated would be great! I have my husbands full support, but it just isn’t enough..
:-(
Karen
Hi Kimbely! Thank you for all of this. I love your site, just got the book, and have been following it for three weeks. It has changed my life and I feel so much better. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue but since I’ve cut out meat, dairy, etc and followed your book, it’s been a whole new work. I have tons of energy and I feel great. Thank you for helping me get my life back! I’ve also cut out gluten and finally started to lose weight, which I gained while on medication and coul not lose before. Thank you…you are amazing! I’ve been telling my friends and they are checking out your book…even my husband has started to change his diet now and feels great!!!
Valuable info. Fortunate me I found your website accidentally, and I am shocked why this coincidence did not took place in advance! I bookmarked it.
Kimberly, I just wondered – when you switched to this diet ages ago did you notice your body putting on weight initially, then it balancing itself out? Its just that I thought i’d be losing weight on this diet but I seem to have put it on…and I’m doing everything correctly – i’m eating more than I used to because I used to restrict/diet and eat little and often..
sarah

I keep kosher and haven’t been able to find kosher certified dulse. I am trying to go on the blossoming beauty phase. Is there anything else I can replace for the dulse?
