Join us starting Monday, October 13th as we celebrate and inspire each other… this time with avocados!!
Why? So many reasons: Avocados are one of the most amazing foods ever — super delicious, filling, full of healthy fats, loaded with skin-enhancing nutrients like vitamin E and so much more. I believe that developing an appreciation for avocados greatly helps you enjoy your large green salads each day, which is a cornerstone of the Beauty Detox way of eating. Avocados are one of my top 50 Beauty Foods in The Beauty Detox Foods.
So together, we’re going to challenge ourselves to go 5 days straight having one daily serving of delicious avocado!
Here’s How You Can Participate
The challenge will be from THIS MONDAY OCTOBER, 13th to FRIDAY OCTOBER 17th.
All you have to do is creatively “remix” how you might normally eat avocado each day (guacamole, on salads, in wraps, and more) and share your pics and ideas with us on Instagram and Facebook! By “remix” we mean to simply try interesting new ways of preparing it (or share your favorite staple ways as well!).
Make sure you use the hashtag #beautydetoxchallenge and tag @_kimberlysnyder each time you post. We’ll be sharing daily Flipagrams of your Instagram pics and handles, and looking at all your posts, and compiling a master collage at the end with many of your pics, to share with all!
Remember that there are many different types of avocados. Haas, Reed, Pinkerton and many more. Try a new variety if you have access to them! Just remember not to overdo it and eat multiple avos in one day, as that would be too much fat. Try your best to have just 1/2 to one medium avocado per day and that should be perfect!
Some fun recipes will be posted on the blog next week to help you stay inspired. Here’s one for a dressing that I love:
Dreamy Creamy Avocado Dressing Recipe (Makes 1 cup)
Ingredients:
- 1 Avocado
- 1 small clove of garlic, minced
- ¼ cup filtered water
- 1 Tbs. fresh dill
- ½ tsp. raw honey or 3 drops liquid stevia
- ½ tsp. Celtic sea salt
- 2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
Cut the avocado in half, peel and chop into small pieces and put into blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until creamy and smooth. Can be used as a dip for vegetable sticks, or tossed through greens for a fantastic salad.

Super Green Guacamole Recipe
Mix the following ingredients:
Avocados
Super tiny pieces of broccoli
Himalayan pink salt
