The Beauty Detox Power contains life-changing new information which will shift your perspective about the role of food in wellness forever. I teach you all the factors involved in achieving and maintaining your ideal weight, to give you back control over how you look and feel.

NOURISH YOUR NERVOUS SYSTEM ELIXIR

Print
This elixir is based on Ayurveda principles of nourishing your nerves. Your nerves are coated in a layer of fat, called the myelin sheath, which insulates, protects and guides the electric impulses of your neurons. All the ingredients in this recipe have been chosen for their specific enriching qualities. Almonds, with their beauty fat, vitamins and minerals, feed this protective fatty barrier, which helps you handle stress without allowing it to accumulate and overstimulate you. Cardamom is related to ginger and has warming, digestive-enhancing properties. It is also a diuretic, and so it helps flush toxins out of your kidneys. Saffron improves circulation and purifies the blood. This is a great recipe to sip in the evening, as you start to wind down, to help encourage peaceful beauty rest.

I also used this combination (using stevia instead of honey) in my chia pudding. Adding a splash of rose water really made it a treat and took care of my cravings for kheer.

Hi Joanne and thanks for your great question. Yes, you can use lavender if you don’t have saffron handy or you just want to switch it out for a change. Let us know what you think and sending you lots of love! ;)

    Hi Kimberly,

I love this recipe and have begun to drink it as part of my nighttime routine. I was doing a little research on saffron and found this as well:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25384672/?i=6&from=/29157808/related

Bottom line is that a small but growing body of research suggests it can be helpful for mild to moderate depression.

Thank you for all that you do for our health and overall well being.

    Nicole

Can I use maple syrup instead of the honey? I don’t use honey on a vegan diet. Thank you
