I also used this combination (using stevia instead of honey) in my chia pudding. Adding a splash of rose water really made it a treat and took care of my cravings for kheer.
Thank you so much, Kimberly, for this recipe, it is Divine. I love it and so enjoy it! My daughter who is almost 12 loves it as well. Sending you and your precious son love.
Thank you so much Jeanette…love to you and your daughter! ;)
You are so welcome, Kimberly….thank you. :)
Can I use lavender instead of saffron?
Hi Joanne and thanks for your great question. Yes, you can use lavender if you don’t have saffron handy or you just want to switch it out for a change. Let us know what you think and sending you lots of love! ;)
Hi Kimberly,
I love this recipe and have begun to drink it as part of my nighttime routine. I was doing a little research on saffron and found this as well:https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25384672/?i=6&from=/29157808/related
Bottom line is that a small but growing body of research suggests it can be helpful for mild to moderate depression.
Thank you for all that you do for our health and overall well being.
Nicole
Would coconut milk be ok? I have a nut allergy?

Can I use maple syrup instead of the honey? I don’t use honey on a vegan diet. Thank you
