It has been a little while since I got to share an amazing Beauty Detox Transformation story with you. I think it is so important to share your journey no matter how big or how “small”. Everyone experiences the Beauty Detox Lifestyle in a different way depending on where they may be in their personal path. One common link between us all is that we are on on this wellness journey together and I want to always provide you with a source of inspiration, support and motivation.
The Summer Solstice is coming up, and as always around this time, you may start to feel a shift from within. You may feel really open this time of year. I encourage you to really let yourself feel present over the next few days and connect with nature. This is a perfect time to revisit your goals and know that living the Beauty Detox Lifestyle is something you can take at your own pace.
Never forget that you have the power inside of you to cultivate the life you truly want to live.

How long have you been following the Beauty Detox philosophy? Was it easy to incorporate it into your lifestyle?
I have been following the Beauty Detox philosophy for about a year. It was surprisingly easy to incorporate into my lifestyle. I have always been into eating healthy and preparing foods ahead of time and planning my meals, so that part came natural to me.
When I started BD, I was looking for a new lifestyle that would fuel my body in a healthy and natural way and not only change my physical appearance, but also help me have a more positive and encouraging view of food and how it could transform my way of thinking. The most difficult part of the Beauty Detox philosophy to incorporate into my lifestyle was cutting out dairy and animal protein.
I was an elite level gymnast my whole life, as well as competed in collegiate gymnastics, so protein had always been a big part of my diet. Dairy was hard for me just because I loved cheese! But after reading Kimberly’s books and learning about this new, natural lifestyle helped change the way I think about how certain foods are good for my health and what they can do for my body.
Plus eating a clean, pant-based diet made me feel so good!
What is your daily regimen? Give us an example of a typical meal plan and exercise routines.
I start my day with one of Kimberly’s probiotics, as well as warm water with lemon. It took me about a week to get used to the lemon water, but now I love it!
After that, I go to the gym to get in some type of cardio workout. Working out and physical activity has always been a big part of my life, and I use it as a stress-reliever.
I then come back and make a big batch of The Glowing Green Smoothie™ (GGS)! I have a GGS every morning typically consisting of kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, celery, apples, pears, bananas and lemons. That’s my go-to GGS, but I switch it around depending on what is fresh at the grocery store. I always try and keep it organic as much as possible.
My GGS holds me over until lunch where I eat veggies (usually carrots, cucumbers, zucchinis) with hummus or salsa. I’m not a heavy lunch eater. Mid afternoon I’ll have a snack consisting of some kind of fruit. I make sure to wait a few hours after lunch so that I’m consuming fruit on an empty stomach like Kimberly teaches us!
Then for dinner (my heaviest meal of the day), I’ll have a BIG green salad with some cherry tomatoes and nutritional yeast to give it that cheesy taste, and a large portion of steamed veggies seasoned with ginger and cayenne pepper to aid in my digestion. I take one more probiotic, along with a few Detoxy+ pills, before bed.
How do you feel after adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle? What changes have you experienced?
After adopting the Beauty Detox lifestyle, I have noticed that my energy is more steady, my skin has a glow to it and most noticeably I have been able to finally lose those last 25 stubborn pounds!
Being 5’1 and of a muscular build due to a lifetime of gymnastics, I have always struggled to lose weight. I have tried every diet out there, and at times put my health at risk just to be able to get to an ideal weight and shape for gymnastics. After years of struggling mentally and physically with trying to fit this “perfect” image, that mindset and those thoughts began to becoming the norm for me.
Even after my gymnastics career had ended, I still struggled with body issues and trying to find that diet that would give me the results I had always wanted. It was after my now husband proposed to me last May that I decided I wanted to find a new lifestyle, NOT diet, that would not only give me the results I wanted in terms of physical appearance for my wedding day, but would also change my outlook on food and finally allow me to see myself and body in a healthy and positive way.
My wedding was at the end of May, about a year after I started the BD lifestyle, and I can honestly say I looked and felt EXACTLY how I hoped I would!
What is your favorite recipe and why?
My favorite recipe so far is the famous Glowing Green Smoothie™ (GGS)! I can’t get enough of it! I make enough for 2 servings at a time, and I have to stop myself from drinking all of it at once! I was a little skeptical at first at the thought of drinking greens, but after a few days I was hooked.
Being a business owner, I don’t have a lot of time to try new recipes, but I’ve told my husband that I want to start making more dishes on the weekends now! My husband loves his meat and dairy, but he has always supported me 110% on this journey, even making me BD friendly meals and sometimes trying my food! I’m one lucky girl:)
What words of encouragement do you have for others in the Beauty Detox Community?
My words of encouragement to other members of the Beauty Detox community would be to not give up! This is a process and no one says you have to make all of these changes to your lifestyle overnight.
I would also say try your best to not beat yourself up if you have a few slip-ups. No one is perfect 100% of the time and that’s ok! I encourage others to adapt a positive viewpoint on this lifestyle and understand just how great the impact can be on your health. And how encouraging is it that we have a community to support us and have along for the ride?!
