On today’s show, Tony and I talk about the best way to get water into your body and raise the question…Do we truly need 8 glasses a day or is that a myth? In keeping with our mantra, “Always go back to nature,” we discuss key ways you can absorb the most water and how the amount of water we need varies from person to person. We hit talking points on how things like climate, level of activity, and also how diet plays a role in how much water you need.
Next, I interview Kip Andersen, the amazing man behind the groundbreaking feature length, environmental documentary Cowspiracy. Kip and I talk about many of the very important topics covered in the film which have such a big impact on our planet. We go into details on animal agriculture, grass-fed beef (VERY surprising take on this), sustainable fishing, the destruction of the rainforest and more. We discuss how this amazing documentary reveals what we all need to be aware of, what’s happening every single day and why people are not talking about it. Kip shares his expert knowledge on ways we can truly help the environment as well as educate ourselves and the people around us. There is hope for the planet, there is hope for everybody and we can work together to make the world a healthier and more beautiful place!

About Kip Andersen, Cowspiracy
Kip Andersen’s environmental awakening came as a result of An Inconvenient Truth. After seeing the film, he began to recycle religiously, turn off lights constantly, shower infrequently, and ride a bike instead of driving. Andersen believed he was doing everything he could to help the planet by following the guidelines of national and international environmental organizations, but his life took a different direction when he found out animal agriculture is the leading cause of environmental destruction.
He is the founder of AUM Films and Media, a 501c3 non-profit focused on creating films and media that promote thrivability, compassion, and harmony for all life. He is also an entrepreneur, as well as a certified Jivamukti and Kundalini yoga teacher. He is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo school of business and has called San Francisco home for more than a decade.
About Tony Flores, a long-time friend of Kimberly who, after graduating from Stanford University, began researching and writing professionally full-time. He has a passion for natural health, especially Beauty Detox, and loves to share exciting new studies and insights he learns with Kimberly and the community!
