It’s the height of summer and I want to keep our beautifying and hydrating smoothies coming— and this recipe is no different. My Peach Lover Shake is loaded with vitamins and minerals and is a great source of fiber. What’s neat about these fuzzy dudes is that they belong to the family of Rosaceae, which also include fruits like cherries, nectarines and plums. Peaches are a product of a deciduous tree and grows in temperate regions across the world but are native to China and South Asia. I know. You might not automatically associate peaches with that part of the world! But it’s true, it’s in their heritage.
The health benefits of peach fruit are many, but here are a few especially worth pointing out:
Peaches help in maintaining healthy skin, bones, and teeth care. Their anti-aging properties also help in detoxification, as well as improving digestion and cellular health. They have loads of essential nutrients and antioxidants which are valuable during pregnancy and help in strengthening our immune system.
Because peaches are so juicy and a great versatile summer fruit, they will keep us hydrated, regular (if you know what I mean ;) ), and beautiful, from the inside out!

- ½ cup almond milk
- 1 Tbs. vanilla coconut yogurt
- ½ cup frozen peaches (or fresh, in summer!)
- 1 tsp. peeled ginger
- 5 mint leaves
- Blend all ingredients until smooth
- Top with mint leaf and peach slice.
