You don’t realize how much you appreciate something sometimes, until it’s been taken away! I just got back from an epic 2+ week trip to Japan yesterday, which I adored. But alas, no smoothies! (Okay, except for a few guava ones on the island of Ishigaki). Boy did I miss them! And it reminded me how wonderful smoothies are to fill up on healthy and detoxifying fruits and veggies—especially when those afternoon cravings hit you at the most random of times.
My Creamy Pineapple Coconut Smoothie Recipe is sure to give you the boost you need to get stuff done! Plus hit the mat or gym, run after your kids, or just about anything you set your mind to.
Beauty Detox Fruit: Pineapple
This beauty fruit has the amazing compound of bromelain ,which helps to promote optimal digestion—key for truly supporting your insides and shining through in your natural beauty. The bromelain enzyme is believed to also have anti-inflammatory properties, to help you feel and look amazing.

Pineapple also an excellent source the trace mineral manganese, is a good source of thiamin (a B vitamin that acts as a co-factor in enzymatic reactions), and central to energy production.
So super yummy and hydrating, you’ll have no problem skimping on those sugary candies and filling up on this amazingly powerful fruit that not only improves digestion but sheds weight, improves your immune system, and increases circulation!
Beauty Cleansing Fruit: Coconuts
This beauty food comes in an array of forms, from it’s young flesh and coconut water, to it’s harder mature meat that can be made into coconut shreds (like in this recipe). All of these forms packed in one shell and from the same incredible source. Not to mention the coconut milk and coconut yogurt that is created from this same cleansing fruit- what’s not to love?
Some key nutrients found in coconut are potassium, magnesium and calcium. The potassium is an electrolyte that helps to facilitate cellular cleansing and is about twice as concentrated in coconut water, as in a banana.
Because it is so full of electrolytes—like potassium—it helps to regulate the fluid levels inside cells and balance the high amount of puffiness, that may come from things like, too much sodium.
No matter how you decide to consume coconuts, you are guaranteed to reap the benefits while enjoying its sweet and earthy taste. It’s like putting nature right into your body, especially with it’s rich trace minerals that literally come up from the roots of the coconut trees (like the native islands and other places where they are grown).
Get ready to UP your beauty, vibrancy, energy, and gorgeous self with coconuts hydrating and cleansing power, and face the rest of your day with ease!

What can I substitute for bananas in smoothies? I am allergic to them.
You can try figs, dates, or another fruit you think would taste good. Lots of love to you! ;)
