I’m so happy we have this time together to talk about a really important topic, which is a little secret to really enhance digestion, which includes reducing bloating and really just taking everything that we can get out of all our amazing foods we’re putting in our body, all that organic material, able to actually utilize it for our energy, our wellness, our vitality, our skin, our hair, for everything.
So, first, I want to say that, you know, we’ve all heard this popular mantra which is, ‘You are what you eat’. And there’s some truth to that, but as I’ve always said, that’s not exactly true. We are actually what we digest and assimilate.
We could actually be eating great stuff, and spending quite a bit of money on organic food and supplements and certain things, but if we’re not actually digesting and absorbing those foods, we’re actually just wasting our money and we’re not getting that benefit, we’re not getting that nutrition into our bodies.
The analogy I want to use is, imagine that you go to a showroom and you see this beautiful couch. You want it to be the couch in your living room. But, to get the couch from here to into your living space, we have to break down the couch, take the legs off, put it into little pieces, take the cushions off, you know, maybe undo the screws, take the whole thing apart. Move it into your space, and then reassemble it. Right?
So, it’s sort of like that with food. Let’s say we take some amazing nuts or a beautiful quinoa dish or some of, whatever, I can think of a million recipes, we’re not going to go on that tangent, but to get that into your body where we utilize it, our body has to break down the foods and then reconstruct them into usable materials for our bodies to build all the amazing proteins and healthy fats, everything that we need in our body to help structure our membranes, to nourish our organs, down to the cellular level.
My secret is, and it’s not that much of a secret because I’ve been talking about this since the Beauty Detox Solution! Yet some of us have kind of dipped in and out but I’m here to say, this is a really important component of, you know, something that we can take every day that will support our bodies.
Again, it’s not just, “Oh, we’re missing all this stuff,” but also we want to support our bodies natural function, is…digestive enzymes! Digestive enzymes are really, really key, because they help our body in that process, like the analogy with the furniture, of breaking it down and helping us get to that critical part where we’re actually able to utilize our foods.
We all have varying levels of digestion. We’ve all eaten less than ideal foods in the past. Many of us have compromised digestions. I know for myself, for a long time, I had really, really bad digestion with chronic bloating and constipation and IBS and all different sorts of things.
Whether we have those issues or not, the more that we take digestive enzymes the more benefit we get from our food. Again, this is a really amazing way to benefit our wellness, to really get the most out of our food, to feel our best.
Now, you may say, “Well, how is this different than taking probiotics?” So, the SBO Probiotics in the morning are still key. They have a different function of helping to rebalance the bacteria in our gut, in our microbiome, and just make sure that, you know, we’re able to help with utilizing nutrients, it also helps with immunity and a lot of other functions. So, I’m really passionate about digestive enzymes and I’m really excited to announce that after years and years of poking around and looking, and I’ve gone to trade shows, and I always find that nobody has exactly what I want in a digestive enzyme.
