Hi Beauties,
Welcome to our vlog today where we are going to be discussing Nootropics and Nootropic Supplements. You may be wondering what nootropics are. In general, they have become quite popular. There’s a lot of discussion around them.
There’s also a lot of products that have come out and continuously continue to come out boasting their qualities and their ability to boost brain function. This is basically what nootropics are.
This is a whole class of medicine, research, products that are coming out to help boost our mental capacity and our brain function. Nootropics can be natural in the way of food. This is what we’re going to really focus on next week in part two of our blog series.
Benefits of Nootropics
They can be synthetic lab created substances that one takes. And nootropics work to boost our mental capacity in aspects and areas like memory, creativity, motivation, attention, and focus.
We want to be able to be more clear and we want to be more focused, which is part of the reason that nootropics have grown so much in popularity. We also live in an age where unfortunately there are a lot of neurocognitive disorders that are on the rise, such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease. And there is some research about the link between certain nootropics and treating memory disorders such as some of these particular diseases.
Further research has uncovered that nootropics can stimulate the release of dopamine, an important neurotransmitter, which helps to reduce anxiety and increases the uptake of cholinne in your brain to improve your cognition and strengthen your ability to focus. And finally nootropic affects the brain’s performance through a number of mechanisms or pathways like the dopeminergic pathway.
Natural Nootropics
I think that a lot of our ability to succeed in life, our ability to go after our dreams and our goals, is our ability to really focus in and hone in. We live in a world where there’s so many distractions. There’s so much going on where our brains are in overload all the time.
I think some really important things to do, besides taking supplements for our focus, for our brain, is to quiet things down. We want to reduce the alerts on your phone and to reduce how much media is in your life.
Allow yourself the time to strengthen the focus of your own brain through batching periods of time. This will allow you to focus and be really creative or go deeply into a subject matter or an email, work project or playing with your kids or whatever it is.
Nootropics Supplements
That being said, there are many different supplements out there. There are many lab created supplements. They’re becoming more and more popular and widely available today.
As with any supplement group, any category of supplements, there is higher quality ones than others. And there are ones that are more thoroughly researched and formulated than others.
Again, there’s a lot of claims out there saying that nootropics, popping different supplements and pills, can increase your attention, your focus, your memory, and even your brain health. And I’m not surprised that they’re becoming all the rage because we all want to improve our ability to focus.
How Your Lifestyle Matters
As far as I’m concerned, I do think a lifestyle is really important. Primarily when it comes to health. I think the way that we eat, I think sleeping really well, and cleaning up your sleep hygiene is central in being able to allow your brain to focus.
I think beyond that, if you’re looking for extra supplementation, you can go that route. But first I would urge you, as everything, to focus on sleep, focus on food, make sure that you are exercising regularly. Very basic lifestyle aspects to make sure that you’re getting oxygen to your brain.
To make sure that you’re eating organic foods so there isn’t pesticide and herbicide bioaccumulation that can get into your brain. To make sure that you’re using healthy products including healthy deodorant.
Nootropics Focus
I don’t currently endorse any particular nootropic for boosting memory. I spend a lot of time researching. A lot of people try to send me things and I tried different things. At this time there isn’t one thing that I endorse necessarily or recommend to you. And if there is ever anything that I find amazing, I of course will be the first one to share it with you.
I just want you to be aware of this category of nootropics. Next week we’re going to go deep dive into food that’s going to really help to support your brain. I wanna leave you with saying that brain health right now is a huge, huge topic.
It’s really important for us to take care of our brain health because our brains are all vulnerable to the amount of chemicals and pesticides and everything in the environment.
In Closing
In that regard, again, I just want to emphasize cleaning up your lifestyle, household products, eating organic food, sleeping as deeply and as well as possible. We have other vlogs, articles, and many other tools, for all of these areas which you can check out. And that to me is foundational for caring for your brain health and then we can layer in other things later.
Thank you so much for tuning in. Sending you lots and lots of love. Remember, we have lots of other information. Much, much longer than these blogs is our feel good podcast with different topics and so on and so forth. So please check it out.
Sending you so much love, beauty, and I will see back here very soon.
I’ve tried to email but says non existent, makes me weary but….I’m desperate. I have stage IV cancer, do you have a supplement that helps my digestive system? Probiotics, prebiotics & greens?
