I wanted to answer a frequently asked question from the Beauty Detox Foods Group, and that is— “How long should I stay in the Blossoming Beauty Phase”? This is a great question because transitioning your diet is critically important.
Remember that prior to incorporating the Beauty Detox principles into your life, we have all spent at least a few decades eating not perfectly (no one eats perfectly all the time), including acidic foods which lead to residue sludge being lodged into different areas of your body.
When you decide to make a radical shift to your diet, with a high percentage of alkaline foods (namely, fruits and vegetables), you are unleashing the strongest possible cleansers. This will wake up toxic waste, so it’s very important to limit the amount of toxins that are leaving your body.
All of our bodies are beautifully and uniquely different. Customizing to your personal needs and intuition plays a big part in how long you stay in each phase. It’s not one-size-fit-all. It’s not the type of diet plan where you stay in for 2 weeks or 21 days and you automatically move on…like a board game or something :).
Personally, I don’t think that there is a set time frame for everybody. We all have a very specific genetic constitution. How we ate in the past as well as how our digestion functions, is completely different for everyone. It is important to listen to your own body; once you feel comfortable and are having success in the phase you are in, you can consider if it is the right time to move forward. I strongly recommend enjoying the phase you are in…. This is not a race; you are setting the foundation for your future, health and happiness- and that cannot be rushed!
What are the 3 Beauty Detox Phases?
If you have not read The Beauty Detox Solution, I strongly recommend you pick up a copy so you can read the whole program for these phases. They start on chapter eight on page 167! :)
I created these different programs so that you would have many chances for success when starting the Beauty Detox Lifestyle. Each phases is crafted towards nurturing you during these times of transition so you can feel your best while learning and adapting the many facets of the Beauty Detox Lifestyle. I wanted to take the thinking out of it for you, so you could easily follow the program without worrying if you are doing things properly.
As always, our motto is “Progress Not Perfection”.
Below is a brief overview of the phases…Each phase provides the benefits of following the program, basic tenets to live by, foods to avoid, foods to enjoy as well as a sample, seven-day menu that you can use to kick-start your success in the program. I also talk about in detail the concept of how long to stay in each phase in even more detail, as everyone’s bodies are different and we have to respect the speed of our own progress.
Blossoming Beauty
This plan is possible for anyone to make improvements in his or her health – starting right now. You won’t have to buy any new kitchen equipment, and many of the foods are upgraded versions of the foods you are already familiar with. This plan is meant to be the most easily accessible for those who are totally new to this way of eating.
I’ve introduced this plan to many busy working mothers, executives and people who have never been able to stick to a “diet” in the past to the Blossoming Beauty, and I have seen them achieve amazing results.
This plan is appropriate for those that are fifty or more pounds overweight, have candida, are exhausted and/or just don’t know where to start.
Radiant Beauty
Becoming a Radiant Beauty is super exciting! You will be moving to a higher level of health and beauty and becoming more immersed in the wonderful abundance of fresh, nutrient dense and beautifying plant foods! In the Radiant Beauty phase we add in The Glowing Green Smoothie (you can however, consume the Low Sugar GGS in Blossoming Beauty if you so choose), which is a powerful weapon that will improve our skin and hair and help us re-balance our weight.
Get ready to launch into a whole new level of Beauty!
True Beauty
True Beauty is a pretty high level of cleansing, and if you have transitioned here, you should be very proud of yourself. By now you’re already starting to see the incredible benefits of the Beauty Detox Lifestyle. As a True Beauty, you’ll deepen your cleanse even further, reaching a new level of health and beauty. The longer you stay in the True Beauty phase, the better you will feel and look.

So how long in the Blossoming Beauty stage?
The answer to your question is, to feel how you are doing in terms of your energy and your digestion. If you’re feeling good while following the basic tenant of Blossoming Beauty, stay in this stage for as long as you want.
When you want to achieve better results, you can move forward to the next phase. The degree to which you want to improve, and the current state of your health, will really be what dictates how quickly you move up to a different phase.
For instance, ask yourself if your bloating has gone down, if you’re able to handle the meals more easily and/or if you’re ready to take it a little bit deeper. Most importantly, listen to yourself. There’s also specific tips and suggestions about moving on to the next phase that I do write about in the Beauty Detox Solution.
I will also say that it shifts seasonally. Sometime in the winter you may want a little bit heavier food. In spring, you may become more of a True Beauty or you may go back to a Radiant Beauty. Honestly, whatever phase you’re in, as long as you are doing your best and you’ve established daily practices, you’ll be on the road to a healthier version of you.
Suggestions…
Always have your hot water with lemon. Do your best to follow that up with having lots of vegetables. This is when you’ll want to give up dairy to help the cleansing process as well. Keep adding to those principles and practices in your daily life and try not think of it as being rigid. Listen to your body and if something doesn’t feel exactly right for you, make adjustments gradually.
It’s also critical that you avoid being judgmental or attacking yourself. You are creating a whole new lifestyle that is meant to last the rest of your life, so take your time and be kind to yourself! If you listen to how you talk to yourself sometimes, you might just become aware it’s unlike how you would talk to anyone else!
