Moringa may be the ultimate superfood.

Moringa is a tree — a super unusual tree, because not only is it incredibly nutritious and highly valued for its medicinal properties, but absolutely every part of it can be eaten. Moringa is loaded with healthy vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, making it a true superfood in every sense of the word. If eaten raw, they have a little bite to them like watercress or radicchio. When cooked, they tend to mellow out a bit, and are much more like spinach, but with a somewhat nutty flavor.

You’ll have a hard time finding fresh moringa; more likely, you’ll find it in powder or capsule form. Although before it was rare to find moringa in any form in North America, now you can get it from many online and brick-and-mortar retailers and can easily start taking advantage of its benefits.

Cooking With Moringa
