This week’s topic is: Your Guide to Finding Your Purpose
I think this is such an important topic for all of us to clarify, because once we really align to our central purpose, it really does help to open up the flow of energy in our lives. We start to have a lot of clarity about where to put our energy and where to move our energy away from. It becomes this central guidepost in our life. And it’s such a game changer.
My new book, You Are More Than You Think You Are, which is out this week, is my full playbook for living your best life. And there’s quite a bit in here around purpose, especially in chapter three, You Are A Warrior. It’s something I really want to share around this topic, because it can feel a little bit murky.
Sometimes we think it has to be all these specific things, however, it’s not. Rarely do warriors battle for themselves. A warrior fights for something bigger than their health. The warrior stands for the True Self within herself and others, which is the highest and best version of us all. It’s your unique way of serving others in the world that makes up your unique purpose. It is only through the context of the collective being part of the greater community around us that we can feel that our lives are truly meaningful and directed by purpose.
Have you been wondering about this very topic? If you want to know the answer to this question and 3 more sent in by Beauties just like you, listen now to find out!
Kimberly, how did you figure out what your mission in life was going to be?
Glenn – New Mexico
Seems like everyone on social media knows what their purpose is except me. Feeling discouraged. What would you suggest I start with first to start figuring out what I’m supposed to be doing?
Alicia – Mississippi
I’m a Gemini and tend to have many projects going at one time which makes it really difficult to narrow down a niche to start my own website/business. Was this difficult for you when you first started Kimberly?
Kelly – Wisconsin
When I think of the word purpose sometimes I feel like it narrows down my life. Like, I can’t have time for all of the things I want to do including having a family and creating my own company that brings in revenue. How realistic is it to be able to do it all especially when I need a tangible job now?

Kimberly: 00:01 Hi loves and welcome back to our Thursday, Q&A podcast where our topic this week is Your Guide to Finding Your Purpose. And I think this is such a big, important topic for all of us to clarify, because once we really align to our central purpose, it really does help to open up the flow of energy in our lives. We start to have a lot of clarity. <laugh> about where to put our energy and where to move our energy away from. It becomes this really, um, central core, uh, guidepost in our life. And it’s such a game changer. So what I would like to do today in the show is touch on this topic. We have some incredible questions as I see below, but I would like to start off the show actually, by reading a passage from my new book, you are more than you think you are, which is out this week.
Kimberly: 00:57 Please be sure to pick up your copy if you have not yet, it is very exciting. This is my full playbook for living your best life. And there’s quite a bit in here around purpose, especially in chapter three, you are a warrior. So let me read a few paragraphs here and then we’re gonna get into the show. This is gonna hit, right, right. At the top of our show, I get right into, um, something I really want to share around this topic and this theme, because as we’ll get into in the show, I think it can feel a little bit murky. Sometimes we think it has to be all these like specific things, but actually it’s not. So let me read to you here. My loves, rarely do warriors battle for themselves. A warrior fights for something bigger than the little health. The warrior stands for the true self within herself and others, which is the highest and best version of us all.
Kimberly: 01:50 It’s your unique way of serving others in the world that makes up your unique purpose. It is only through the context of the collective being part of the greater community around us. That we can feel that our lives are truly meaningful and directed by purpose. In this way, we all have the same purpose and yet it’s different at the same time. What do I mean by this? For all of us, our core purpose is to serve others, to help others in some way it is by doing this, that we ourselves expand and grow. We grow our own limitations. And so we are also helping ourselves reach our highest potential and stretch to actualize our dreams. If we stay small and focused on ourselves, then we reinforce our limits. Yogananda was very clear about this to act with self-interest is to lose sight of the cosmic plan or the will of God. Yet your purpose is unique to you because you have a unique energy that you bring into the world. And so it will get channeled into work and projects in a way that only you can do it. In other words, you can serve and help others in a unique way. In chapter 19, you are a creator. You’re going to take a deep dive into your unique essence, but for now, let’s just let this idea start to sink in. You’re here to serve in your unique way.

It’s just, you know, an amazing way to, to share, to support each other, which is really the purpose of this podcast. And also related to our theme of finding your purpose. And also I think why we’re here, right? Like I, like I just read to you, we’re not just here for ourselves. You know, God, didn’t put us on, you know, individual planets where we’re just going through life by ourselves, we’re here as a collective. So please be sure to share the podcast it’s very easy to do. And you never know how you can really change someone’s life with a piece of, um, and how they can really change the course of their lives. So thank you so much in advance. And again, I’m very excited for this topic today and I’ll mention it again.

Kimberly: 04:30 The new book is out. If you feel a little extra energy in my voice, if you feel the extra fired up, it is because I am fired up with passion. I’ve never been so excited about a book. You guys, I’ve never been so excited to share anything in the world as this book, which is really based on these teachings that have been around for thousands of years. And as I was learning from these teachings from India and also from my main teacher, Paramahansa Yogananda, I guru, you know, it, it just started to transform my entire life. This is when I started to write books. This is when I created SA Luna. This led me to find my soulmate, John create this beautiful family. And so in the middle of the pandemic, it came down to me. This is time for everyone to have access to these teachings.
Kimberly: 05:19 It just was like this download. So this book is very different than my other books. And I think you’ll enjoy it very much. It is by far my favorite book of all the books and it’s the most useful, and it’s the most practical. And what I share, what I will share with you in this book has the, will have the impact on all areas, including your health and your vitality, including your body and your weight, but beyond that, your peace, your confidence, your abundance, your ability to create your most inspiring, successful life. So it’s called again, You Are More More Than You Think You Are – Practical Enlightenment For Everyday Life, and it is available now on Amazon Barnes and noble target, anywhere books are sold and I cannot wait for you to get into it. And then I’m excited to see these questions evolve after you’ve read the book and, uh, we can start to go deeper into some of these concepts, which is very exciting.
Question #1 around the topic of: Your Guide to Finding Your Purpose: Kimberly, how did you figure out what your mission in life was going to be?
Kimberly: 06:17 But for today, let’s get right in with some practical takeaways, some real value that you could start using in your life right here, right now, around your guide to finding your purpose. So the first question comes from Adele who lives in Colorado. Hello, my Colorado beauty. Thank you so much for being in act to a part of our community and sharing your question. I’m sure that many others will benefit. So thank you so much. I’m sending a big hug out there. You are right. Kimberly, how did you figure out what your mission in life was going to be? So let’s go back for a moment to what I was reading earlier. And this comes from page 30, chapter three, you are a warrior. So tapping into this aspect of us, the warrior, I think is a really important part of creating our purpose because purpose is not just a happy wish, right?
Kimberly: 07:11 Purpose is not, oh, you know, um, it’s different than, than a specific goal, right? It’s different than saying, okay, I’m going to get a promotion at my job in the next two years. That’s a great goal, but that’s not your purpose, your purpose in a succinct sense. And again, there’s a lot more information that I write about here, but if we could really hone it down, your purpose best is finding your way to use your gifts and to create in the world from your unique way, right? Your talents, your energy, your genetic blueprint, spirit individualized inside of you, which will be completely different than everyone else is. So you find a way to utilize your energy in the world and you expand that you take that your unique gifts and energy, and how can you serve, how can you, um, make this world a better place?
Kimberly: 08:15 How can you uplift the energy, the inspiration in your way? So it comes down to those two parts. So that’s what I was reading earlier in, in a way we all have the same purpose, but it’s all different. We’re here to share. We’re here to serve each other. We’re here to love each other and help each other and support each other. But the way that we do that is completely different for each of us. And it’s so, um, important for each of us to know how to tap into our unique gifts. And again, the, the longest chapter in the book is chapter 19, which really breaks this down through a series of exercises. Because to answer your question, Adele, I didn’t know exactly what I was gonna do with my life, but I will say from the beginning, from when I came back from backpacking, you know, well, you know, 10 years ago was when the first book was published.
Kimberly: 09:12 I, I don’t live in the world of date. So I’m like, what year was that? But I know the beauty detox solution was published in 2011. So before that, when I came back from backpacking, I was really inspired. But what I had seen in my travels, I felt this expansion that I hadn’t felt before, meaning that I was traveling around the world with all these different P people in all these countries. And a lot of it, I was by myself and sometimes I would meet people and I would travel with them. I traveled with, um, this woman I met from Argentina through Southwest China. I traveled with four Israeli women through parts of Laos. And I traveled with this English girl named, uh, Jess through parts of Africa. I mean, it was incredible, but when I look back, the one thing that like really, um, I can feel to this day is this hard expansion because here I was going, you know, around living in my tent in Africa, going through Asia.
Kimberly: 10:14 And it didn’t, it started to feel like there was no such thing as strangers. You know, I got so used to, I was on the road for three years. So I got used to just chatting and opening up and connecting pretty much instantly with all different kinds of people. And so I felt this sense of oneness and connection that I didn’t feel before my trip. So when I got back, the one thing that was clear to me, even though I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do was that I wanted to, I wanted to help people. I wanted to serve. And I did it in my way, which was sharing what I had learned. And so I started this free blog and I, you know, there was different topics that I wrote about, there was a lot of food. There was nutrition. I was sharing about my travels.
Kimberly: 10:59 I wasn’t as, um, vulnerable, perhaps I wasn’t as raw as I am now, 10 years later because I’ve been through so much, but I was already, you know, pretty open. And again, everything that I wrote about everything that I was doing came from this place I wanna share. I wanna help. So I would say if I could credit anything to any, uh, any level of success that I’ve been able to create, it’s because I always stayed connected to that. Now the expression shifted over time. So in the beginning, my first two books were really focused on nutrition, and then I really wanted to go beyond it. It, because food is an important part of our lifestyle, but the way that we eat here in our community is very simple and it’s based on energy and we don’t have to keep hammering down and trying to find every specific little nuance.
Kimberly: 11:56 What I found was that as we go beyond nutrition into this holistic lifestyle, what we call here at Solluna, our four cornerstones of true wellness and true beauty food body, emotional wellbeing, and spiritual growth. That’s when I found that, oh, energy runs through all things. Energy is part of our digestion. As I wrote about in the beauty detox solution, this concept of beauty energy, but it also is the energy inside of us. We’re always creating with this energy. So I expanded beyond food. You know, the, you could see the progression in the books. The third one was called beauty detox power, where I talked about try Aras. And the fourth one I wrote with Deepak Chopra, which had a lot of AIC information and spiritual information as well as diet. And then the fifth one went, had recipes in the back, but the beginning was really about the mind and the body and how bloating and inflammation, for instance, our, a product of our thoughts and our limited belief.
Kimberly: 12:54 And now this book really goes deep into how we connect with the true self. So what Paramahansa Yogananda would say the underlying energy matrix of all things. Once you touch that, once you work with that energy, then your whole life changes. So I didn’t know that I was gonna go down this way. I didn’t plan to be a meditation teacher. I didn’t plan to be a spiritual guide, which is what I would say is really this, you know, a big part, the main part of my work today, but what I did at Dallas, I just kept taking one step at a time. What we can’t see the whole, um, trail ahead of us, right? It’s like loud zoo says so eloquently in the ding journey of 10,000 steps, or what is it? 10 journey of 10,000 miles starts with one step. You know, whatever the version is.
Kimberly: 13:46 You, you get the, just so I would say, Adele, if you don’t know exactly what you wanna do, focus us on, how can I help others today in this moment in whatever, you know, wherever you’re putting your energy. So let’s say you’re a, um, a bank teller or a, um, cashier at Starbucks or a accountant, or I’m just thinking of all these different, um, potentialities or a marketing manager. When you show up to your next zoom meeting or your next, you know, whatever phone call or next time you send an email, you have view, how can I, how can I support other people in what I’m doing that could mean, Hey, I’m gonna show up with great kindness, great love. I’m gonna make a point to really see through to each person who they are. And when we see each other, wow, does that feel good?
Kimberly: 14:54 I’m gonna be extra kind. I’m gonna be extra patient today. I’m going to be extra loving. I’m gonna show gratitude, whatever it is. It doesn’t matter specifically what you’re doing so long as you’re showing up in this energy and with the intention to spread love, connection support. So from that place more unfolds Adele, because when we get into that place of serving, as I mentioned in this chapter, the warrior chapter, um, unseen forces energies open up, and there is quantum physics behind this. Um, in spiritual terms, you know, the divine intelligence, what Deepak choppa would say, it’s Syncro destiny, meaning we get into this harmonious flow with our true nature and the nature of the universe, which is always meant to expand, be connected and expand. The universe is expanding light and is expanding. So when we expand our purpose beyond just the limit itself, we’re here to show up and help other people.
Kimberly: 15:59 Then there’s more energy behind what we do. So even if it’s just today, even if it’s in this moment, as I walk down the street, Hey, I’m gonna give all this food. I, or part of the food I just got to this homeless person. I wanna help support, or I see a friend having a really hard time, let me or my colleagues, you know, having a hard time, let me offer, you know, some support here, Hey, I can take on some of this work or, Hey, do you want, do you need someone to chat to, let’s go out for a, a coffee or, you know what? It is just being aware in all the ways in which we can support others. So that will open up your energy. The other thing is meditation to else. So when we meditate, we connect inside. This is when we start to connect more to our unique gifts. So another practice I recommend is meditating.
Kimberly: 16:42 And then afterwards sitting and thinking and writing and feeling into, and you can use your journal as a powerful tool to, to use the action of writing and getting it from your head, this formless energy into form, into structure, known as letters, right. And concepts, and, and concretizing it by putting it into paper. And we ask ourselves, where is, you know, spirit? Where do you want me to put my energy? What is my purpose? How can I help? How can I serve? What is the best and highest thing for me to do right here right now? So serving it, isn’t, isn’t so literal as I’m gonna go, you know, volunteer at the soup kitchen, or, you know, I’m gonna go do this service trip with habit TA for humanity for two weeks. It can be part of that. We can do those actions, but day to day, moment to moment, your purpose is lived through you in every, um, every moment of your life.
Kimberly: 17:36 Again, not in specific things. Like my goal is to double our revenue this year or to, um, you know, uh, just get a, you know, raise a bunch of money for my company. Those are great goals, but the energy, the intention behind that, but why, why did you create this company? Why are you trying to create your own fashion line? Why are you, um, you know, why have you chosen to do this thing or, you know, behind it connect the energy of service. And that’s what I did. I was trying to serve from the beginning. And I can see along the journey when I, when I got confused, when things started to feel muddled was when I moved away from that. And there was this pushy ego coming in and saying, oh, but you have to, you know, move along faster. You have to grow things faster.
Kimberly: 18:30 Do do, do more. And so when I didn’t focus so much on service when I was, and it was always there, but if it moved into the background and I started to focus more on other things, then I started to struggle more. Right? Then things felt like ironically, they weren’t moving as quickly. It just didn’t feel as fulfilling. So matter what you’re doing at Dell, really anchor into that. And then things will start to become more clear, just take one step at a time forward. And I’m so excited for you to read the book, because I think in particular, besides the warrior chapter, chapter 19, you are a creator. We’ll really speak to you. My love. So thank you so much. And I can’t wait to connect more.
Question #2 around the topic of: Your Guide to Finding Your Purpose: Seems like everyone on social media knows what their purpose is except me. Feeling discouraged. What would you suggest I start with first to start figuring out what I’m supposed to be doing?
Kimberly: 19:21 All right. Our second question here comes from Glen, who lives in New Mexico. And Glen writes seems like everyone on social media knows what their purpose is except me I’m feeling discouraged. What would you suggest? I start with first to start figuring out what I am supposed to be doing. So, Glen, thank you so much. My love sending a big virtual hug to New Mexico, a state that I love very much. I worked on a film there. I got to spend a couple months there once and I loved it. So big virtual hug. My love. Now, first of all, there’s some interesting information here. Social media, seeing what other people are doing, this projection projections of images and, and, you know, so-called realities is not really what is right. These apps are designed to keep us on them. These apps are designed so people can really put on their, their shiny polished photoshopped, whatever it is. So don’t take it so seriously. First of all, number one, this, Hey, like let’s not compare ourselves to social media because it’s not reality.
Kimberly: 20:18 Number two ego is about comparison. Ego is fear. Ego is discouragement because we feel small and limited and confused. So what we wanna do is we a balance where our energy is going and flowing, instead of always looking out on social media and what other people are doing, we turn the energy in. So in a way I will say that the most powerful way to find your purpose is to create real stillness and in the stillness in meditation and stillness practices, what you’ll find is this zero point field where you go beyond your thoughts and then you start to feel into your intuition about the guidance of where your life can go, right? So it’s when we’re so caught up in what everyone’s doing and what everybody’s posting and what everybody’s saying and what people think of us that we can start to get really.
Kimberly: 21:17 Um, again, we feel that real sense of just, uh, discouragement and, um, just feeling like life is so hard. It’s so arduous. So what I would suggest is first of all, batch time, your time on social media. So you’re not on there. It’s just floating in and out all the time, but only go on there on specific times. And maybe perhaps after you meditate after, you know, when you are in your good mental state, because otherwise it will just make you, you feel more limited and more small. Number two, everything I said to Adele definitely applies here. Um, I’m very excited not to sound like a broken record, but I go into such depth in the book about this very, uh, topic that I’m excited for you to go into that. But number three, um, again, go back to go back to stillness in that stillness, just get past the overthinking over obsessive mind.
Kimberly: 22:16 You will never find your purpose in that swirl of thoughts. Ironically, the more you let go, your shoulders will drop different parts of your brain will light up. Your nervous system will reregulate your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system will start to come into true balance. Your stress hormones will start to quiet down. And what we find is more intuitive messages will rise up. Intuition is one of the most important tools that we can develop as human beings. Paramahansa Yogananda talked about intuition so much, and I have found that in my own life, that I used to depend so much on external feedback and information and validation chasing what, you know, I, it compliments or agreement or whatever it was from the outside world. And what that does is it, it keeps it going. It never ends. If you’re chasing it out there, you’ll keep chasing it and chasing it and you’ll feel more and more controlled by it.
Kimberly: 23:17 So we don’t wanna look for the solution where the problem is we wanna go to a different place and the place is the true self inside of you. So besides meditation, I want to offer a stillness practice, which is also in the book. It’s called the expanding, the gaps practice. And I’ve done it here before. We’ll just, I’ll explain it again. In case you miss the other podcast, which I believe I did it on a solo cast, which is really just coming into your body and your breath and noticing, being aware of the little micro gaps between the inhales and the exhales. So when you notice something, when you become aware of it, it actually expands the energy of that very thing. So for instance, if you’re really focused on a particular goal in your life, it keeps that energy alive in your life. That’s why affirmation’s done in a very powerful way.
Kimberly: 24:07 It can be so impactful. So in this case, what, what we wanna do is we want to inhale for a count of four. I’ll just do one round together with you. You can do it with me. You can just listen to your inhale, do three, four, and then you pause. It’s really potent pregnant pause with the breath full. And then you exhale for 4, 2, 3, 4, and then you pause in that pregnant pause with the breath and the lungs empty. And then you go up pause. So then you go down and you pause and it’s in the stillness. That’s a very beautiful practice. And again, after doing that for a few moments, you can journal, you can ask yourself inside, what is my purpose? Where is the best place to put my energy? And when I say inside, I’m not talking about the ego. I’m talking about the connection to your true self to spirit.
Kimberly: 25:06 So you ask spirit inside of you, not, you know, up in the sky somewhere, separate somewhere far away, but the wisdom that lives inside of you in this very deep embodied place down there in your gut, your gut instinct, voice of the heart, voice of intuition, which is past that, all that mind chatter, don’t listen to that crap. <laugh> cuz that’s not gonna take you. Or your purpose is that mind chatter is the ego saying, oh, well you have to do this and look what she’s doing on social media. And maybe you should try what she’s doing and blah, blah, blah. You’ll never create your truth. You’ll never, uh, find that deep fulfillment it has to birth from inside of you. So try that stillness practice my love and try. Of course, always, including I said to Adele, how can I serve? How could I help help people through my actions, through where I put my energy and notice how your energy and your purpose will start to clarify more and more over time. And again, uh, lots more. I wanna share with you. I’m so excited to share with you details in the book.
Kimberly: All right, loves. Let’s take a short break here. And when we come back, we’ll have two more questions for you on this beautiful topic, your guide to finding your purpose.
Question #3 around the topic of: Your Guide to Finding Your Purpose: I’m a Gemini and tend to have many projects going at one time which makes it really difficult to narrow down a niche to start my own website/business. Was this difficult for you when you first started Kimberly?
Kimberly: 26:21 All right, my love we’re back from our break and we have two more questions for you guys. The first one comes from Alicia who lives in Mississippi. Hello, my Southern love sending you so much love down there. A state that I have been to, I drove across when I was working on a couple films in Georgia. So it’s a place I’m very familiar with and I send you a big warm, cozy hug. I hope you are keeping well, thank you so much for being part of our community and you write, I am a Gemini by the way. So is my son Moses and my father and my best friend, John, my business partner. So I have a lot of Geminis and my I’m Aquarius by the way. So I think we’re very compatible. I’m a Gemini and I tend to have many projects going on at one time, which makes it really difficult to narrow down a niche to start my own website in business.
Kimberly: 27:15 Was this difficult for you when you first started Kimberly? Yes. <laugh> easy answer is yes. In the beginning, I was very excited about all these different directions and potentials and um, you know, things that were coming forward. And I did find it a bit confusing where to put my energy. I was writing books and I was doing these national shows. I was working with all these celebrities, which did to take up a lot of time. And then I, um, I started my, you know, well, my website was there, but then I created products and then it was just like, mm, you know, is it this? Or is it that? And I will say that when we clarify our why, then we can start to Mo we start to filter things out and it becomes very clear. So for me, my, why was I wanna support people as much as possible and at a certain point in my career and was also, um, at a point when I was pregnant with my first son, I looked around and I said, you know, I think that this information that I’m so grateful to have access to can really help a lot more people.
Kimberly: 28:41 And I wanna, I wanna shift away from folk to sing on these celebrity clients, you know, instead of focusing on like a hundred people, I wanna focus on way more. So that was where I took my time and attention away from individual client work. I work with some of them, the long term clients, but not, I mean, it used to be day and night, right? So I pulled my energy away from that. And I started pouring my energy into Solluna into things like our Solluna Circle and books, you know, especially this new book, which is really expansive. And it was from coming back to that central question, what is my purpose? Does this support my purpose? Or does it not? Because as you go along on your, on, on your journey, Alicia, you may start to see, you know, as success grows, you’ll start to see different people will come, Hey, why don’t you do this?
Kimberly: 29:35 Or, you know, do you wanna be part of this and this? And it can feel really exciting, but it’s so important that we discern whether to say yes or no to decisions based on whether they are connected to our purpose or not. I read this, um, really interesting. I can’t remember where I read it, but this an interesting story about Richard Branson, where he was so clear in his, in his purpose and what he, he was doing that some company offered him a great amount of money to speak, and then he refused and then they doubled it and they refused <laugh> and then they like quadrupled it and he refused. And they said to him, well, what’s it gonna take? And he said, there is no amount of money because I can’t get distracted from my purpose. And what you’re asking me to do is not align to that.
Kimberly: 30:24 So in that way, we see that we have to get really clear so we don’t get distracted and we don’t get, um, thrown off course. So we wanna get real clear. And what we wanna do, Alicia, is you wanna write your warriors code as I call it in the book, your statement, your purpose. And I guide you through how to clarify that you write it on a piece of paper. Again, we’re taking it out of mind, we’re putting it onto paper and then you place it where you see it every day and you read it every day. So it could be the table outside your front door. It could be in somewhere in your bathroom, in your bedroom. So it’s not that, oh, I made this purpose, but it’s like a new year’s resolution that I forgot about it, or don’t connect to it. No, your purpose is something that we wanna align to every day.
Kimberly: 31:14 So you read it in the morning, you connect to the energy and the intention behind it. And then as you, because you’re reading it as you start your day, as you go into your or day, you will be more aligned. You will align your actions, your words to support that purpose, because now it is a live living entity in your life. It’s not some dusty resolution that you wrote somewhere, you know, and throughout or put somewhere, you don’t even remember. You don’t see the journal anymore. No, it is alive. Your purpose is here. So as we go through life, we keep coming back, right? We’re human. So we’re gonna have this, we have this part of us. That’s, um, stumbling along, you know, I perfectly perfect. And at the same time we have this true self completeness spirit inside of us. So the human part’s gonna dip in and out, right?
Kimberly: 31:59 Like we get distracted, we get confused, blah, blah, blah. But we can keep coming back. Purpose is born of this connection to the true self purpose is born of your unique, beautiful energy, because you are unique creation. So we write purpose at a certain point after meditation when we are in a certain, um, state. And so then we align back to that state every day days where we’re time are days where we’re distracted days where we’re confused and that will keep us on track, keep us going. So to check that out, my love, there was a lot I said there, but I hope that some of that really resonated with you. And, um, yeah, I think that you’ll enjoy some of the stories that I share in this book, because, um, it’s really related to your question. So thank you. My love for being part of the community. I send you so much love down there in Mississippi and look forward to connecting more.
Question #4 around the topic of: Your Guide to Finding Your Purpose: When I think of the word purpose sometimes I feel like it narrows down my life. Like, I can’t have time for all of the things I want to do including having a family and creating my own company that brings in revenue. How realistic is it to be able to do it all especially when I need a tangible job now?
Kimberly: 32:59 Okay. Loves our last and final question comes here from Kelly who lives in Wisconsin. Kelly, thank you for being part of our community. Thank you for your question. You right. When I think of the word purpose, sometimes I feel like it narrows down my life. Like I don’t have time for all of the things I want to do, including having a purpose and creating my own company that brings in revenue. How realistic is it to be able to do all a special when I need a tangible job now? So it is your definition, Kelly, that makes you feel narrow. Purpose is the energy that runs through your whole life. So purpose is, uh, I’ll share, you know, some of my purpose is to serve and help others, right? Just like all of our purpose is. Um, but the way that I, um, the way that I approach it is through this four cornerstone approach, really supporting people in their spiritual growth, their emotional wellbeing and connection to the body and the food, which is a natural outgrowth.
Kimberly: 33:57 So for me that, um, um, that includes my family, right? So I meditate with my sons, you know, that, that real connection, that emotional love and that expansion, you know, whether I’m with my family or whether I’m with my team at Solluna or I’m with, you know, um, talking to a, a server or someone in the street or someone in line that I’ve never met, it really is. Your purpose is the energy in which lives through you in every day. Kelly. So it’s not so specific to, Hey, I wanna, you know, goals are, I wanna have a family. A goal is I want my own company. And a goal is I wanna create, you know, X amount of revenue, but your purpose is more than all of those things. The purpose, your purpose is soul. It’s connected to your soul. It’s connected to your spirit.
Kimberly: 34:54 Kelly is not able to be defined by numbers by quantitative sense, by a resume, all these things that you do and achieve. That’s not who you are. Your purpose is beyond all of that. Your purpose is connecting to your creativity, putting it out into the world and expanding that creativity to help others. I mean, it’s as simple as that. So let’s say Kelly says, oh, well, you know, you know, my, my, um, well actually I don’t wanna put words in your mouth. I already shared my, so sit with that. My love, you know, because as we align to purpose, as I was just saying to Alicia, we become more clear about what is aligned and what isn’t. And also we get a lot of clarity about, um, just the next step to take and timing. So you don’t have to feel the same sort of time pressure.
Kimberly: 35:45 If we align, we think our purpose is this long list of, to dos to check off a box. That’s a lot of stuff to do. We relax, we expand, we open up, we actually connect more to our purpose. We let go of all that time pressure and all the quantitative numbers and all the words and the descriptions. And we just sink it down into our own energy underneath the surface. And we say, oh, okay. Yes. I feel my energy. I’m gonna find a way to create in the world because we are all meant to create whether that means an gonna be the best mom. I’m just gonna, you know, spread love today. Or I wanna start this kind of company or blah, blah, blah. And then how do I show up every day in this creative energy, with love, with helping others, with inspiring others, with being a kind wonderful, beautiful human being.
Kimberly: 36:37 That’s just in it for more than myself, right? So then we get into a whole different, it’s almost like stepping into a different dimension. When I got real clear about this, I created a very different relationship with time. So I used to feel a lot of time pressure like, oh, there’s not enough to do. I need to run around all the time. That’s the ego. The ego is like, oh, I wanna show all this stuff for my life. I wanna show all this stuff to prove worth, but purpose. Doesn’t have to hurry purpose. Doesn’t have to push purpose. Doesn’t have to, you know, care so much about what other people think it’s not so serious. Purpose is the underlying energy of your output of your creative energy flowing into all things. So what is that? What is, you know, what is unique about you? When an aspect of my purpose is that I take, um, fairly complex subjects and I make them simple for people.
Kimberly: 37:32 And I do that because I, these subjects, I believe can really help people once they understand them. So again, it’s for, or it’s it’s to serve, but in the Beauty Detox Solution, I broke down digestion in a series of analogies, like the waterfall and the stagnant pond and the traffic on the road. And that was really impactful for people. So that’s a gift. I think I have, I believe that I have, and in this new book, I go through, you know, some dense teachings from the VAD, from the Bava Gita, and I break it down and illustrate it with stories so that it’s it’s accessible and then you can use it in your life. So in that way, that’s, you know, part of my unique gift, but it’s connected to serving. So think about Kelly, what are some of your unique gifts, or, you know, how you, you do things or how you are, how you show up and how does that help people and how does that nonspecific to what you list here, a company with revenue or the family?
Kimberly: 38:30 What if it’s just every moment we take out those like categories, and it’s just you in life Kelly at the grocery store, Kelly at the beach, Kelly on vacation with her four best friends, Kelly with her grandmother, <laugh> Kelly on a zoom meeting, right? Your purpose, your energy is there all the time. It, once we clarify, it’s, it’s so clear, it’s like runs through everything. So it’s nonspecific. Now I say, you know, that was part of what I said. Uh, part of what I said was, okay, I do this in my books. I clarify make, you know, uh, complex subjects simple, but also another part of my purpose is just to help spread love and light. And we do that in infinite ways. I love whoever I can see, you know, I know all my neighbors, for instance, I do this daily walk and every single person I walk by, I connect, I try to connect with and chat to, and, you know, find a way to just really have that connection.
Kimberly: 39:31 And so the purpose is coming through spread love, spread light, you know, so you’ll see, uh, it’s an expanded concept beyond what we’re saying here, but once we get this Kelly, it’s a game changer and it will take away that fuzziness, that confusion of like on the pressure of this, this and this into, oh, it’s this one thing. And it runs through everything. And the timing for my goals will unfold, but I can live my purpose through all of these things every day. You know, whether one thing takes a longer amount of time or another, or maybe I take this off the list, or I add this on it’s okay. Because purpose is underneath. All of that. And purpose will buoy everything up and purpose is the light that will come into everything.
