Beauty Detox Refresher
Have you ever found yourself doing something repeatedly (whether it’s with your diet or exercise routine), where you find yourself in this mindless state, where you forget why you’re doing these things in the first place? Trust me…I know! It becomes this perfunctory habit, which isn’t always a healthy mindset.
Being a part of the Beauty Detox tribe, we all want to take time to reflect on why we’re taking care of our bodies to begin with. We may be on a roll with feeling great from the inside out, but we also want to make sure this includes our mental state and reflecting on all the knowledge we’ve taken in—bringing ourselves back into alignment with why we’ve made these adjustments in our lives, so that we’ll continue to make this a lifetime habit.
So let’s take this moment to regroup and remember why we feel so good, and why we’ve chosen to incorporate The Beauty Detox Solution into our lifestyle. Remembering that what you eat is the ultimate beauty product, and ridding our bodies of toxins so we can look and feel our very best.
After all, isn’t that what life is all about? Having optimum health so we have the energy to do all the things we want to do- like spending time with our family and friends. We need to feel at our best and nurture ourselves in order to give the maximum amount to others. And without the proper nutrition, I’m not at my best.
With The Beauty Detox Solution we have discovered our ultimate health and beauty, knowing that the broad concepts I’ve outlined can be customized to work for your individual body.

It’s time to bring our awareness back to the principles we’ve learned, remind ourselves of the choices we’ve made, reflect on how much better we’re feeling, and see where we can strengthen any areas of weakness, so we can continue to forge ahead, knowing we are doing the best thing for our bodies!
Let’s start today, while making this new recipe (or any of the Beauty Detox recipes), and thinking of all the goodness that Mother Nature brings us—keeping us full, energized, happy, and beautiful—from the inside out. ;)
Beauty Veggies
We all know how important it is to eat in-season vegetables (preferably organic and local). It’s also important to add variety to meals, and this is why I encourage you to get creative and use whatever type of veggie you like for these rolls.
For this recipe, you will gain the benefits of natural probiotics and vitamin C, along with skin-beautifying vitamins, A and E from the red cabbage (feel free to use any color though!).
You will also gain sources of vitamin A and B vitamins, vitamins C and K, and biotin, from the sweet flavoring from the carrots. Add to that, more vitamin K, vitamin A, folate, and minerals from the dark leafy romaine that is great in balancing the cilantro, due to it’s mild flavor.
You really can’t go wrong with stuffing these guys with whatever veggies are in season, since they are all wonderfully nutritious. Make shopping fun and adventurous, and you’ll find more joy in prepping and devouring your creations! ;)
Raw Almond Butter
Did you know that raw nuts (and seeds), are a great source of protein? Yesiree! But we need to make sure that we balance them by making sure we eat them with some greens and raw veggies—this is because they are highly concentrated and calorically dense.
Always try your best to eat nuts (and nut butters), raw, since roasting alters some of the nuts’ beneficial qualities and are sometimes cooked in hydrogenated oils, which are unhealthy trans fats, and salted.
Today, we’re using almond butter, which can be purchased raw and without sugar. Great news is, almonds are not only full of protein, but minerals, antioxidants, and vitamin E. They also are a great blood sugar stabilizer and don’t have MOLD, (which is found in peanut butter).
In fact, I don’t advocate consuming peanuts at all, and strongly encourage they be avoided in general! Popular peanut butter brands are laced with sugar. They also have naturally occurring poisonous molds called aflatoxins present, that grow on them (likely why so many people have intense allergic reactions to peanuts). These molds can also infect our blood and our livers. :( Learn more about the hazards of peanuts here!
Safe to say, we’re using raw almond butter in this recipe, so try to locate a raw, organic brand that you personally feel safe using, after reading all labels.
