You may naturally feel called to eat something healing and glow-promoting for your skin, which is not only your biggest organ, but the organ that is front and center, that everyone that comes into contact with you sees. There’s no hiding your skin!!
I have a great recipe for you: my brand new Skin Healing Shredded Carrot Salad Recipe, which is perfectly designed for promoting skin health. From carrots to cabbage and sprouts to fresh parsley — this salad will fill your body with only the best ingredients to keep you healthy and beautiful!
Eat for Amazing Skin!
Detoxify: Your skin is a reflection of your overall health. It is the body’s largest organ. It is an elimination organ. Toxins inside your body can make the skin on the outside of your body look unhealthy.
When you eat foods with toxic ingredients, it is naturally reflected in your skin. The Beauty Detox Solution lifestyle creates health and beauty. This is because it has a strong element of ongoing detoxification to it. Maintaining health isn’t something we just do once here and there and call it a day…we have to work on it bit by bit, continuously!!
Nourish: We’ve all heard the adage, “you are what you eat”. While this is true throughout your body, it is especially visible on our skin.
Eating toxic, chemical-laden foods will show up on your skin. Result? Dull, dry and flaky skin. Poor nutrition can also speed up wrinkling and cause breakouts. Eek!
Hydrate: Hydration is important for glowing, healthy skin. We need to drink plenty of pure water throughout the day. Plus, also drink 16-32+ ounces of Glowing Green Smoothie. The GGS is really hydrating and has a lot of enzymes and nutrients from the fresh fruits and vegetables.
It’s important to also eat a lot of raw foods that contain their own water. Salads contain lots of brightly colored vegetables and are packed with water. Avoid caffeine and alcohol, which will only dehydrate our bodies.
Carrots: “Common” Yet Proven for Glowing Skin!
When we think of healthy skin, we may not be thinking about hormones. Well it’s time we did!
Raw carrots actually contain an indigestible fiber that helps our bodies perform its natural detoxification and helps with hormonal health. How?, you might ask.
When you eat a raw carrot, its fiber binds to excess estrogen hormone. This process helps to safely pull it out of your body.
In addition, carrot fiber prevents estrogen from being reabsorbed in the intestine. Why would this be a concern? Because estrogen can be reabsorbed when transit time is slow.
Too much estrogen can lead to all kinds of hormonal disruptions, including PMS, mood disorders and acne. This includes estrogen produced by the body, our diet and exposure to xenoestrogens in the environment.
Adding to the list of benefits, is that the raw carrot fiber helps to lower the number of bad bacteria in the gut. What does bad bacteria have to do with hormones?
Well, intestinal bacteria is usually one of the main problems causing hormonal imbalance. The bacteria creates a chronic burden for the liver. This is turn, keeps it from its regular job of processing and eliminating hormones.
Once our hormones are in balance, the rest of our body can function as it should. Then, our largest organ can breathe and bring beautiful and glowing skin to the surface!
How Carrots Are A Natural Healer to Us
Carrots possess strong cleansing properties that are extremely effective in cleansing our livers. When our livers are functioning well, toxins can be removed from the blood. Our bodies are thus aided in transporting nutrients to our whole body. This includes our skin health!
Carrots also contain calcium, potassium, iron, fiber, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, K, and biotin—amazing skin refresher and beautifying properties.
They also boost your immune system, improve digestion, and detoxify the body. Carrots provide loads of other vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients that boosts overall health.
Other Awesome Benefits :)
Carrots have cleansing properties that keep our bodies pure. These cleansing properties are an important aid in transporting nutrients and nourishing hair, and our entire bodies.
Carrots help to boost your immune system, improve digestion and detoxify the body.
Carrots provide loads of other vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, and adding this fibrous veggie to your beauty routines is just another great way to take the edge off of hunger, while still providing tons of nutrients.
You can see the running them of detoxifying your body and ultimately glowing from the inside out! Your skin will surely reap the benefits and leave you feeling the awesomeness that you already ARE!
