Memorial Day is just around the corner, and you know what that means?! This marks the beginning of summer and a special day to honor those who have served our country! Today I share 5 Memorial Day Healthy Recipes Ideas that you can whip up and take with you anywhere!
Many of you may be newbies and have just started on your Beauty Detox journey, and we don’t want to get set back too far with your health and beauty goals. This goes for our seasoned Beauty Detoxers as well!
So let’s keep this weekends’ barbecues and parties as healthy and delicious as we can. This will keep our bodies running like a well-oiled machine, without adding foods that are taxing on our guts.
Let’s check some of my favorite recipes!
#1 Alkaline-Grain Veggie Burgers Recipe
I love me a good burger- veggie burger that is! Sometimes it’s so nice to pick up something and eat it, since a lot of what I eat is with a fork. :) It’s a great thing to rotate in your menu. I cut up my Alkaline-Grain Veggie Burger into strips and load into a collard green to eat as a wrap, or sometimes I use gluten-free bread.
Most commercial veggie burgers you buy in the frozen section of supermarkets are made with lots of gluten or texturized vegetable protein (TVP). We say no thanks to those! These delicious veggie burgers are made instead with actual vegetables and the alkaline-forming grains of millet and amaranth. If you can’t find amaranth, you can substitute in brown rice flour.
#2 Quinoa, Avocado, and Corn Salad Recipe
I thought it would be awesome to supply you with my Quinoa, Avocado, and Corn Salad Recipe that is yummy, super healthy and easy to pack.
The only pre-prep with this dish is to be sure to soak the quinoa overnight. Then just finalize the rest of the recipe in the morning or early afternoon. It tastes great at room temp, so it’s perfect to bring to the BBQ pool party, park or beach!
Pair with a leafy green salad, and you have a complete meal. It’s ALWAYS a great idea to bring a healthy dish to an event to share. That way you can stay on track and it’s a non-threatening way to share with family and friendly on how you like to eat now to feel your best. Who knows, maybe you’ll make some brand-new quinoa lovers!
#3 Vegan No-Fry Cauliflower Hot Wings Recipe
I love food I can pick up, especially with Lil Bubs in tow! Finger food is great for weekends like this and is finger-licking good!
And when we think of healthier finger food, yes, there is life beyond veggie sticks! You’re going to love my Vegan No-Fry Cauliflower Hot Wings recipe which is super yummy and healthy, to boot. Even your hard-core wing lover friends/family members will enjoy this with you.
#4 Electric Lemonade Recipe
Is the heat making you feel sluggish? With summer in full swing it’s so important to stay hydrated and one way is by keeping my Electric Lemonade handy. Loaded with vitamin C, enzymes and plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids.
You’ll be too busy sipping on this yumminess to bother with rambling off all these beautifying benefits. However, you can feel good knowing that you’re taking in all of its goodness!
#5 Blissed Out Fudge Pops Recipe
My Blissed Out Fudge Pops Recipe are a treat that can be eaten any time of the year. And why not start gathering easy, delicious, and healthy recipes in the present moment, so you can have the recipes down pat by the time you want to make them for crowds and parties later?!

Relax and have a great time but don’t set yourself back too far. Progress not perfection!
