This week’s topic is: Why It’s Important to Review Your Goals
We are about halfway through the year and sometimes we make goals or new year’s resolutions, and then we don’t think about them at all. And really we are constantly evolving and growing and things are unfolding. Things that seemed really important may shift and change. And then new things may come into the mix.
As we start the show, I will say that it’s essential. I think, to continue reviewing your overall goals, to make sure that they are in alignment with where you are today at this very moment. This is when we really start to manifest and co-create our best, most amazing lives ever.

Kimberly: Hi Beauties and welcome back to our Thursday, Q&A podcast or our topic this week is Why It’s Important to Review Your Goals. And we’re about halfway through the year. A little bit more. I think I’m a little bit funny with time. I tend to forget dates, but we are about halfway through and sometimes we make goals or new year’s resolutions, and then we don’t think about them at all. And really we are constantly evolving and growing and things are unfolding and things that seemed really important may shift and change. And then new things may come into the mix. So in summary, as we start the show, I will say that it’s essential. I think, to continue reviewing your overall goals, to make sure that they are in alignment with where you are today in this very moment.
And today I’m just glancing over the questions. There’s so much great, so many great questions that are arising in our community around self care, creating goals in the first place, spiritual growth and how all of it ties together. So we really start to manifest and co-create our best, most amazing lives ever. I am recording right now in Hawaii. I’m sitting outside my desk. I’m looking out over these beautiful trees and there’s so many different birds. I’m looking at a very bright red bird right now and the tree across. So if you hear some of the beautiful movements sounds of nature all around, you can imagine where I am and that you’re here with me in spirit, which is so beautiful that we can be connected here.

Kimberly: And also of course, our Monday interview podcasts. So that’s all available to you over an iTunes. Thank you so much. And again, in advance for your review, it means the world to me, I love our show so much. It’s a great way to support. All right, all that being said, though, let’s get right into our podcast today around the importance of reviewing your goals.
Question #1 around the topic of: Why It’s Important to Review Your Goals: I’m setting new goals around your Beauty Detox philosophy and would really love a quick go-to plan to get started right away. Thanks Kimberly!
Our first question comes from Luna and she lives in Canada. Her first question, her question is, hi Luna, sending you lots of love over there across the border. Hope you’re keeping well hope. Everything’s great. She writes on setting new goals around your beauty detox philosophy, and would really love a quick go-to plan to get started right away. Thanks Kimberly well, Luna, thank you so much for being part of our community. Thank you for your question. I think that it’s really great to start incorporating more dietary shifts in small increments and small steps, and then continue to build from there when it comes to food.
Kimberly: The great thing about food is that it’s going to be a very steady part of our lifestyle. We know that we’re going to eat every day, day in and day out, so we don’t have to rush and change everything overnight. In fact, when I see people try to change everything and throw everything out and buy all the new stuff and follow every recipe to a T, the issue can be that we go to abruptly and we don’t have time to integrate as a lifestyle. So that’s when you see people going from one fad diet to another drastically, consistently changing their lifestyle all the time, their diet all the time, and nothing really sticks. So what we want to do is we want to create stability and grounding and steps that we shifts and changes that we will continue to follow for the longterm. And that’s why it’s important.
Kimberly: Even this tiniest step, like adding lemon to water lemon, to your salad dressings, we integrate it. And then it becomes part of us, part of our way of being. And then we continue to add more and more. And that is so much more powerful. You guys than trying to overhaul everything or just doing a big cleanse here and there and not doing anything in between or not making any more permanent shifts in between. So what I would say Luna is to start from the morning up and to start from that period and really treat that morning period in a holistic way. So I talk about morning routine a lot because it shapes our mindset and it shapes the way in mindset affects our energy, our, our emotions. It affects the way we digest food. It affects our food cravings. It affects our ability to feel in flow.
Kimberly: So I would urge you to really treat the morning routine as one holistic part, even though it’s touching on all of our cornerstones, which are food body, emotional wellbeing and spiritual growth. So that would include hot water with lemon, taking your SBO probiotics, drinking your glowing green smoothie. I’m so excited for my GGS today. It’s very early morning here on LA time. We’re three hours behind in Hawaii. So as soon as I finish this podcast, I can’t wait to go in there and start blending and making some beautiful green goodness for the family and meditating. The most important, one of all is to sit into spine straight, get into your breath, get into your meditations. And I bring this up to you, Luna to show how integrated everything is. And we want to integrate more of these longs long-term shifts with our diet, but we want to integrate all parts of this lifestyle.
Kimberly: So meditating, isn’t a standalone like, oh, I’m just doing it to relax. That meditation puts you into that energetic flow where you feel more aligned with your food, and it doesn’t feel so arduous to make healthy choices and you are breathing deeper into your body and you’re getting more pronic energy from your breath. And we’re not relying on food so much to shift our moods and everything else. So everything works synergistically. So my first piece of advice, Linda is to really follow that morning routine and to incorporate all parts of that. My second part, um, in incorporating the beauty detox lifestyle is to go with some real guidance in every day life. So this is how I prep, and this is how I actually cook. And this is how I actually apply this way of eating into my own life. And in that regard, I highly recommend that you check out our 30 day roadmap for healthy weight loss, which is a digital course that we have over@mysoluna.com.
Kimberly: It’s not actually just for weight loss. It is for learning this way of life. So if you’re going through it, you can of course bulk up. You’re not trying to lose weight. You can increase the portion size. You can increase, you could have denser snacks or whatever, but it’s really about teaching the integration. Like I said, in a very practical way, how do I store food? How do I repurpose leftovers? How do I even cut this in the first place? What’s a shopping list. So in the most practical sense, Luna check out that program. I think you’ll be really happy once you have it, you have it forever. So you can continue to reference it and work with the recipes and take your learnings further and further, but it’s very, very practical and it’s all right there in the program. So highly recommend you check that out as well. Thank you so much. My love for your question for being part of our community. Keep in touch with me, let me know how I can, can continue to support you. And what else, what else you’re wondering.
Question #2 around the topic of: Why It’s Important to Review Your Goals: I love my evening routine of self-care and wondering if I should create a new ritual from time to time and what would be the benefit of doing so?
Kimberly: All right. Let’s get into our second question now, which comes from Riley and Rylee, lives in Rhode Island. Hello, my love over there on the east coast. And she writes, I love my evening routine of self-care and wondering if I should create a new ritual from time to time and what would be the benefit of doing so. So thank you Riley so much for your question, and I love the practical nature of this in our day-to-day lives. So thank you again, also for bringing up evening. Routine routines are really important for creating a framework to hold our practices in place. So we may have the best intentions around meditation or, um, energetic clearing, which I do in the shower every night.
Kimberly: I, um, imagine the water is as it’s coming over, my body is also clearing energy and cords hooks attachments to other people, um, involvement, stress from the day, whatever it is. I imagine that it’s cleansing off all the different practices that we have when we have a ritual. When we, when we have a routine, it allows us to keep that routine in place over time and an energy builds. And so it strengthens, and it becomes, again, like we were talking about in question one, it becomes part of our integrates into our life. So we don’t feel as much effort to try to follow that routine. It’s just becomes something we do like putting on our shoes in the morning or brushing our teeth. It just becomes more of a flow. So it’s wonderful Riley that you have an evening routine. And so you have a really good base.
Kimberly: If you’re asking this question, then maybe you do feel called to add something, um, from time to time or became, or it may, perhaps it’s something that you want to, uh, Uplevel or add more regularly into your current routine. So this would come from a Splenda from the inspiration, the, the natural inside of you, this inspiration to go further or to create something new. And then the next thing that I would encourage you to introspect on is what is your intention for the new ritual. And then that would also inform what we create. Do we add onto what you’re already doing? Do we spend more time in meditation for instance, or do we add another self-care practice into the ritual? Maybe it’s a scalp massage or a little bit more on the younger, whatever it is, but intention would inform that. So I would turn the question back on you, Riley.
Kimberly: No, what are you looking for? Is it deeper rejuvenation, more relaxation, more time with self, more stillness, going deeper into your creativity, into your connection with yourself. And so, whatever that is, whatever the answer to that is, I would build off of that. So for me with evening routine, I am in a mode now where I don’t necessarily add something new, but if I want to go deep into create more of a space from my meditation, I’ll light a candle, I’ll create more of a, uh, an alter or I’ll rearrange things. I’ll bring flowers to the altar. If I’m, um, feeling that my body needs more attention, I will give myself an extra Avianca or maybe I’ll give myself a clay mask in the evening, just a little bit more pampering, a little bit more care. So it’s really the intention underneath that informs what we want to do, and that will make sure that we’re meeting our goal.
Kimberly: So if your goal Riley is, I need to just spend more time with myself. I want to pamper. I want to, you know, do this. I would encourage a little bit more, um, you know, bathroom time and these practices like Avianca self massage or dry brushing, or a salt bath with Epsom salts that may feel like, okay, this is the physical ness that my body’s craving right now. But if you sit back and you say, you know, it’s really the third and fourth cornerstones that I need to spend more energy on the third one being emotional wellbeing slash mental health, the fourth one being spiritual growth. So in that regard, maybe you want to build more of a ritual around evening journaling practices, spending more time introspecting or reflecting on the day or yourself growth, or like I mentioned, which always feels like the best place to me.
Kimberly: You can’t go wrong with putting more time into your meditations and to try our guided meditations, which we have over in, in the Solluna app and also@mysoluna.com. And sometimes, um, if you’re wanting to go deeper, there’s that part where we do the breath work, where we sit and we pause that sacred pause after the affirmations. So you can extend the meditations. If you want to sit longer by turning, letting the recorder come to an end, the recording, come to an end and just hang there and keep breathing and stay in that internal state. And the guided meditations that I provide are practical. Enlightment meditations are usually about seven minutes. So then you can go through it and you can continue to stay in that space for 10 more minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, five minutes, whatever it is, but continue to give yourself more of that nourishment in meditation.
Kimberly: And so I love this question, Riley, and again, um, when it comes to rituals, it’s so personal and the way to really make them work, the best for us is to start with sitting with yourself, creating that stillness, asking yourself, asking your body, what do I need right now? How can I take it to the next level? What should I focus on? What can I bring in here? And then we can start to shape a new ritual around that, or expand what we’re already working on, and it will continue to support you in the deepest way. So thank you so much. My love for your question. I love this one and, um, I think it’s really beautiful.
Kimberly:All right. My loves, we are going to take a short break. And when I come back from the break, we have two more questions for you on this topic, why it’s important to review your goals along with the birds and the roosters. We will be right back.
Break
All right. My love. So we are back from our short break and we have two more questions for you on this topic of why it’s important to review your goals. We have two more questions on this topic, why it’s important to review your goals, you know, Desta mom off the shelf, take a look at them. See what was that? That I was intending six months ago or however long ago. It was, and make sure it’s current with who you are today, because even in a week in a month and six months, definitely we continue to evolve. We get more newer insights, experiences, information, wisdom. So we do want to check in consistently and make sure that we are still aimed at a, in a direction at a goal. That makes sense. That feels good to all of us at that particular time. And if not, it’s important
Question #3 around the topic of: Why It’s Important to Review Your Goals: What is the best way to envision the life I want with the overwhelm?
Kimberly: Make some shifts, make some changes, make some new goals. Our next question comes from Ivy who lives in North Dakota and she writes what is the best way to envision the life I want without the overwhelm. So I love this question, Ivy, I feel like you are ready to just burst open and go for your, your best life for your goals. And there was a little part of you that may feel hesitant. Maybe there’s a little bit of fear, but this idea of overwhelm says to me that Ivy may be someone that is used to overthinking over analyzing obsessing processing things a lot. And that’s, I mean, listen, that’s very common. I come from that camp as well in the past. Definitely. I’ve been someone that thinks and overthinks and can go in circles sometimes, like making sure yes, yes, yes. It’s going to be okay.
Kimberly: So when it comes to our best life, one of the things that we really need to remember is that we need to let go of our tendency to control or to want to control the outcome or how we think things are exactly going to be. When we add the element of control, it adds rigidity and it adds stress and it means, oh, it has to be just so just this way. And so we add pressure. We create constriction. Now we’ve closed off from the full potential of the full limitless potential out there. And we’ve, we’ve narrowed it down to something very specific and S and again, smaller. So this actually keeps us away from abundance, abundance. It makes it harder for us to manifest our best life. And so what I would say to you Ivy is to go past the overwhelm means to go past the thinking minds and to go deep, deep down into your body, into the feelings and the wisdom of your body and your heart. So when you think about your best life, when you envision it, how are you going to feel in that best life? What are the feelings? So open to me, it feels open, expansive. I feel creative. I feel so much love, so much joy, so much peace. And so I feel that I cultivate that. I, I self create those, those feelings, those states after meditation, during meditation, um, when I’m on my walks and I hold onto those energies, and I say that this is how I want to feel consistently. And so when I create my life, and again, I can only speak from personal experience. And what’s really worked for me is being in those high vibration states, I feel tends to attract more into our lives without the pushing and without the obsessing. So to me envisioning our best life without the overwhelm means being very clear about how we want to feel in our lives. Very clear about the energy that we have day to day, moment to moment, and then to live in that place to self generate those energies.
Kimberly: So we are connected to them. And then when it comes time to making decisions, should I live in this city? Should I live in that city? Should I go for this career or that, should I eat this food right now, or this smaller decisions, bigger decisions. We start to filter them all through this internal wise filter of does this align to how I want to feel? Does this align to, you know, really the core of my best life, because it doesn’t come down to just numbers, right? You might, someone might choose a job based on salary alone, which is the thinking mind saying, this is a safer choice. I can save. I’ll be able to do this X, Y, Z. I’m not saying it’s the right choice or the wrong choice, but there may, if it’s conflicting with the inner heart, with your energy that says, no, I don’t want to go down this path.
Kimberly: I’m not going to be happy in this job. I actually want to change careers, not accept this promotion, whatever it is, then we start to feel overwhelmed because we’re not in our hearts anymore. So we’re no longer in flow. And we’re no longer aligned with the guidance of spirit, which speaks to us through our passions and through our hearts. So for me, the way I’ve been able to create my life, the way that I really love it is choosing from the heart choosing each moment. Cause I don’t plan far ahead and not to be honest, a lot of my life had happened without planning, but I, I was present. I am present. I’m here in this moment. I made decisions from inside, not from numbers and not from my head. And that’s always felt the best to me. And when I do feel overwhelmed, as we all do from time to time and I feel stressed, I wonder about what’s going to happen and am I doing this right?
Kimberly: I know. I almost always know that it comes from anxiety about the future and I’m not here. So I keep coming back to here. This is what I want to feel. These are the decisions. These are the action steps to take, to fulfill these feelings. And then I move on to the next moment and I do the same thing over and over again, but we can’t live in the future because the future isn’t here and living there trying to live there when it’s not here only induces anxiety and inflammation and hormonal imbalance, insomnia, acne, low energy, a million other things. We don’t want any of that. And guess what? It doesn’t help us. What helps us the most in creating our life is to be as present as possible with the fullness of our energy, because this is where we create. This is where we show up.
Kimberly: This is where people can interact with our energy here. Now, if for thinking about the future, if we’re worried about the passage of that, we dissipate and we dilute our powerful potent energy. So be here now, meditate morning and night, try our guided meditations, our practical enlightenment meditation’s over on the app, the Solluna app on the website, and then use that period after meditation for five, 10 minutes. And just imagine what you want. Imagine the feelings and stay open and receptive for guidance, ideas, town, loads, to start coming in. Maybe they come right away. Maybe they don’t, but you’re starting to allow and create intention for those ideas to come through. And that potent space after meditation is a very powerful time to tune in and to tap into those opportunities, those insights. So thank you so much. Ivy, give this a go, keep in touch with me.
Kimberly: I will love to hear what your, your most ideal life feels like. Please write it into me and keep in touch. I send you so much love out there in North Dakota. Hopefully we get to meet in person one day, sending you so much love.
Question #4 around the topic of: Why It’s Important to Review Your Goals: I’ve had a spiritual routine for the past year and would love to know if I should be planning a deeper ritual? Right now I’m meditating and doing deep breathwork but feel I might need more?
Kimberly: All right, my Beauties, we have one more question. And this one comes from Julia who lives in Pennsylvania and she writes I’ve had a spiritual routine for the past year and would love to know if I should be planning a deeper ritual right now I’m meditating and doing deep breath work, but feel I might need more. So I love this question, Julia. Um, often when we’re asking questions, it’s because we have that internal wisdom guiding us that you are, are seeking more searching for more, wanting more. Otherwise you would never ask the question. So I think it’s great that you have a routine.
Kimberly: Um, I can’t tell from your question, I don’t have any detail about what it entails, but I would, first of all, I would check in with all our rituals to make sure that we aren’t getting into the mode of automaton mode going into automatic. She’s kind of doing the steps and it doesn’t feel fresh anymore because ritual is about concentrating energy and intention and bringing all of that to this moment. And when we do that, we align to bigger energies and we call in more help and more forces and more alignment. And then we are able to create a healing or a blessing or a, uh, a positive pattern or whatever it is. So the first thing I would say is to make sure that maybe your ritual needs an update, make sure that your ritual feels your routine feels that you are present with it and there’s mindfulness in it.
Kimberly: Meaning you’re not just going through the motions while you’re thinking about what to cook for dinner or your to do list, want to really be in that ritual. Otherwise it’s really, you know, perhaps a waste of time, honestly. And I say that with love. So if it’s tiny, I hear you doing the breath work, but almost always for me, when I’m feeling like I’ve got to go deeper here or, you know, just some of the energy around your question, it means that we could go deeper in our meditation practice when we started to connect really with the true self, which takes some time, I mean, sometimes it’s spontaneous, but to maintain, it means we have to get past the monkey mind. We have to get past our thought patterns. So for me, deepening down and extending the part, you know, the meditation part where you feel like you’re really tuned in and in flow.
Kimberly: And, and that’s not the gonna be the whole meditation because we have to kind of get into it and then we need to settle in and then we go deeper. But for me, if I’m feeling like I’m seeking, I’m searching, it comes back to that self connection that deep self-connection from meditation. We don’t need to add more, um, you know, icing on top and all these other things in my opinion, but it’s about going deeper, not more right deeper into the self. So what I would say love is to check in with your practice, see how it feels to you. See if you’re ready to make a shift or bring in something different with your meditation. How do you feel afterwards? Do you feel deeper union remember meditation? Isn’t just about sitting here with our eyes closed, trying to get quiet. It’s about union union with the true self spirit inside of us, the essence inside of us, the divine part of us.
Kimberly: So I would, I would’ve self-assessed are these meditations taking me to a deeper place or do I need to try a new one? And if you do want to try a new one, I’m here for you check out the guided meditations, which are about seven minutes on the app and also on the website and be methodical, get into the same place when you meditate, get into the same position and make sure there’s no clutter around clear your space and really put your full energy in when you do your spiritual practice. And again, just like, you know, the whole theme of this podcast, which is about reviewing your goals. It’s always good to review our practices because something that worked for us years ago, or even a year ago, or even a few months ago or a week ago may not work today. I used to be very into this, um, yoga series and I would do it almost every well pretty much every day, except for Sunday.
Kimberly: I think it was the Dharma Metro yoga series. And it really worked for me at the time. It was a set series. And within it, you could modify downward dogs into form stands or handstands. So there were some variation, but it was this, you know, simple Asana flow. So I would get into it. And it was just really good for my mind and my body to melt into something familiar. And it really worked for me at the time. And now I can say that practice doesn’t really work for me right now in this point in my life. If I am going to get on the mat, I like to just free flow and let my body lead the way. And sometimes they just stay in three poses like forward fold for a long time. So, but none neither are right or wrong. It’s just a different energy and it’s a different way. And so same thing with our, with our practices, whether the practice may be, you know, a chant or a mantra, or, you know, lighting the candle, being in the space, doing a particular meditation that perhaps, you know, we want to look at it perhaps that could be updated as well.
Kimberly: So I love this topic and I love to discuss this more and more with you guys self-assessment tuning in and really, checking in with ourselves and never, and always all the cornerstones food wise. How is my food doing in this moment? Do I need to adjust seasonally? Do I need to make a shift? Am I nourishing myself enough? Or am I overstepping myself? Self-assessment body is the exercise I’m doing right now, working for me and my moving my body, my sleeping well enough, am I taking my SBO probiotics? And my other supplements regularly, emotionally are my relationships serving me. Am I running myself into the ground? Do I need a mental health break? And my journaling enough, am I creating enough time for stillness? So on and so forth. And then spiritually am I progressing in my meditations and my progressing in my stillness and my ability to separate from my reactions and my eco, am I going deeper? Right? So we assess. And if the answer is, no, we need to make a change.
Kimberly: It’s not bad. We don’t beat ourselves up. It’s just like, oh, okay, I’m going to go this way and try this now. But it’s important. The self assessment for awareness. So we can keep nourishing ourselves in the deepest most holistic way. And we keep evolving as humans and keep alive, uh, evolving into alignment with oneness, with ourselves, with all which really is to me, the goal of life, deeper oneness, deeper self-realization.
Thought of the Week
Kimberly: So before we sign off today, I’m going to leave you with our thought of the week, which I wrote at the beginning when I saw our questions.
