Namaste loves and welcome back for our Monday solocast podcast, where I’m very excited to talk about this very powerful concept of Finding Harmony in Your Life with the 4 Cornerstones of True Wellness. So these cornerstones are food body, emotional wellbeing and spiritual growth. And when we create this real synergistic system in your life, and we’re gonna really get into this concept of harmony today, we create this wholeness that is also in tune with the harmony of the environment and the world around us, which connects to the PMA Habu theory of the elementals, the air water space, fire, and earth outside inside. There is this synergy. So the more we create harmony, the more vitality that we have and the more vitality that we have, the more energetic, youthful, healthy, creative, abundant. We are in contrast, if we don’t have harmony, if there is a lot of constriction or rigidity or pushing one specific way that maybe our ego tells us is the way we conclude something based on, you know, comparison or seeing something out there.
What happens is decay instead. And this decay could manifest physically inflammation, accelerated aging, just a real loss, a real drain of vitality. So we find that this harmony is such an amazing way to create flow and to really create the goals of how we wanna feel, how we wanna look, what we wanna really embody in this amazing life that we have been gifted. So I’m very excited to get into our topic today about this, the philosophy of harmony. And then I’m gonna give you some tips, some takeaway action steps that you can start to implement from this harmonious, this broader harmonious standpoint, across each of the cornerstones.

Today’s solocast topic is: Finding Harmony in Your Life with the 4 Cornerstones of True Wellness
So let’s get into our show today. I’m very excited to talk about this concept of harmony and how you can really create more harmony in your life. So I want to actually lead off with a passage from the Tao Te Ching, which is a book I go to. I go back to time and time again. It seems to get deeper and deeper for me. This is the English version translated from Steven Mitchell. And this is an ancient text from ancient India. Thousands of years ago from Lao Tzu verse 39. It teaches us in harmony with the Tao Te Ching. The sky is clear and spacious. The earth is solid and full all creatures flourish together content with the way they are endlessly repeating themselves, endlessly renewed.
The Tao Te Ching is something it’s a, it’s a big concept. We can think of it as universe, spirit source, creator, God divine intelligence that runs through all things, including in your individual being. So there’s a part of us that is this unique energy, and yet we are forever connected to the whole. So this concept of harmony is really around creating this synergy with the present, with the now moment, with your body and the whole with you and the collective. And the more we step into this expansive wholeness again within us, and then with the whole, the more healthy, the more vitality we have, the more powerful we are, the more creative we are, the more synergy and synchronicities arise in our life because we are in the flow of the way.
Co-creating with divine intelligence
So there is our way. And what we wanna start to tune into is how can I co-create with the larger way with this divine intelligence, so not fighting against it. And this carries through, into diet and starting to eat in a more harmonious, natural way to really synergize and nourish our bodies. This connects in with how we can harmonize and create more peace with our bodies and our self care. And also just in our emotional interactions, our relationships, our real sense of self, our confidence. And so it is, it is important that we start to discern harmony, merging peace energy. And when that crosses over into, over pushing and overanalyzing and control, which then actually does create decay, it creates a loss of vitality. You can see if you squeeze a tube <laugh> there’s constriction. And so there’s less space. So imagine in the tube, there’s this Chi there’s this PR life force energy, but if you clamp down and you say, no, I’m only going to eat this way.
I’m going to follow. I’m just using this as an example, I’m gonna follow paleo to a tea. Even if my body is wanting me to eat carrots or you know, this other food today, we close down to universal energy. We get very heady. We get very mental about one way. And really this is this large concept of harmony in the Tao and the whole li the whole of the four cornerstones is that we are coming at life with a sense of gentleness and suppleness. And the water analogy is used time and time again, in the Tao and loud zoo teaches us that water has this suppleness. It yields think about how water shapes around a boat, but at the same time, water is incredibly powerful. Water can move mountains. It can carve rivers and move the earth literally. And so there’s great power in this energy of a much more supple way.
And so in this verse, as I just read you this idea of endlessly renewed, when we are in tune with the greater flow, we feel this wellspring of energy. We’re in tune with life all around us. We’re not fighting against things. We’re not resisting. We’re not trying to conform and shape our lives or our faces, or our beauty to one specific way. Rather we’re melting with this just overflowing infinite energy that we can tap into. Once we do that, we feel more renewed. There’s more revitalization. And this again, crosses into all the cornerstones. And other example is how we start to merge with the way of the Tao, the universe, as far as circadian rhythms. So we start to sink our life into perhaps an earlier bedtime, an earlier dinner time, more complete digestion. Before we go to bed, starting to wake up a bit earlier for morning meditation, even closer to sunrise, right?
How to tune in to the energy inside you
This isn’t, don’t worry if you’re more of a sleepy, you know, sleep later person, these are not hard or fast time frames or numbers that we are discussing here, but more about this merging with the way to create more renewal. So I wanted to read one more passage here, and then we’re gonna get into some more, um, specifics. So this comes from verse 76 and Lao Tzu teaches us. Men are born soft and supple dead. They are stiff and hard. Plants are born tender and client dead. They are brittle and dry. Thus, whoever is stiff and inflexible is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft and yielding is a disciple of life.
The hard and stiff will be broken. The soft and supple will prevail. So bringing to big concepts here, the death, the stiffness, but in a larger sense, what I was saying about decay and what he’s talking about here about softness and suppleness. When we really think about energy, we think about love. We think about someone that has a youthful energy. Um, they have more supple skin. There’s a brightness in their eye. There’s a bounce in their step. And you notice that people that tend to live a more rigid lifestyle. I count every calorie. I must go to the gym and do this workout every day, 365 days a year, whether it’s a hundred degrees or it’s the dead of winter, you may notice more of a stiffness in their posture, in their skin. I’ve noticed with clients over the years, that follow very regimented life, that there’s a little bit more hardness, and that does show up in the skin and throughout.
And now I’m not talking about creating rhythms and routines, because I do think that is a powerful way to live our truths, but there’s a difference between routine and flowing through your routines and then making adjustments, let’s say seasonally between the percentage of raw and cooked foods, let’s say, or just adjusting to the seasons, just like we change our clothes versus a real rigidity, real stiffness. And <laugh>, if we go into our hearts and we go into our guts and we go into our intuition and allow that to rise up, we will be able to discern more and more, where am I taking an overly hard line? And when, where am I softening more into this flow and this flow, and this harmony really will serve you in your life. The pushing, which can also be seen. Um, other iterations is rushing restlessness, over analyzing, overthinking, comparing all of this is born of that rigidity. And this constriction, the more we open up to harmony, the more, and this is where the cornerstones to come in. For instance, this, the spiritual growth cornerstone, the more we tune in to the energy inside of us and that there we’re part of this big, enormous thing we stop. It just becomes so boring and old and completely useless and obsolete to compare because we realize that this endlessly renewing energy is infinite in all its forms. And
We never need to contrast or compare. We also realize the more in touch with this energy inside of us, that we don’t need to grasp as much and over rely on sources outside of us, which are also infinite from the egoic perspective, the part of us, the more limited form based perspective, we could try to get energy from compliments or validation or people agreeing with us or people agreeing with the way that we eat validating our way, or, um, you know, just sticking to this one thing or feeling a sense of safety and security from numbers, numbers, numbers, how many carbs am I eating? How much, you know, all these biohacking devices nowadays, I think they can be helpful and useful, but not. So when it crosses into obsession and the tracking can be a bit much. So we wanna balance that with our own inner intelligence and wisdom rising up. And that’s really where harmony comes from. We don’t over rely on an outside source or outside sources of information, whether that be your friend’s opinions or the opinions of people on social media, leaving comments for you, that you may or may not even know, or what a magazine article says or what a device says, we take that information, but then we see what is born of the truth inside of us.
Tips for introspection and stillness
And so this great power of presence is a big part of harmony, which again, which is why the spiritual cornerstone and self connection, which comes from meditation, it comes from more stillness. Creating gaps, periods of stillness could be a mini meditation in the middle of the day. It could be just sitting in nature, out in your yard or somewhere, just observing for a few moments without your phone. It could be taking some time for introspection and journaling, which also was part of the emotional wellbeing, cornerstone turning the energy and the attention inward so that we balance the noise and the pull on our attention, always out, look at this, look at what this person’s doing. Look at this image, look at what’s happening in the news. We balance that or in the world, but then we balance that with the inner world and the inner experience. And so gradual, just gradually with our water analogy, we start to soften that very restless, like, like river, where you would do white water rafting. We start to soften that into a, a, like a gentle bubbling stream. And
You could start to feel this settling down. And then the stream at times, empties into pools of water, little ponds lakes. And when that gets really clear, as in times of meditation or these moments of stillness, the real, the clarity is the mud completely settles down is when these real realizations, these deep realizations, this guidance about our life path or wisdom just starts to rise up from this deeper place inside of us. And this starts to come up more and more in our life. This could come up in more intuitive eating, and we just have a real sense of what is the best thing for me to eat for dinner tonight, through everyday ways, it starts to be helpful. And that starts to override the often confusing information that’s pouring in twenty four seven into our smartphone, into our lives, through the screens it’s bombarding us. And it’s easy to feel anxiety and get confused.
Well, which diet am I supposed to follow? How is the best, you know, what is the best exercise method we get to more peace, more harmony when we start to listen inside. So what does this look like in terms of our lifestyle? From a food standpoint, a very practical thing that we can do is to eat more seasonal plant foods. We start to eat more of a plant forward way. Harmony means again, within our bodies. And it also means in the larger environment around us. So see, we’ll start with our bodies. Plant foods contain fiber, only plant foods have fiber. And this inner harmony of nourishing our GI tract is so critical that on a intuitive level, on an ARVE level and scientifically researched level, we know that this is just harmony throughout the body gut up. So it’s feeding the short chain fatty assets. It is reducing inflammation. It’s giving us sustained energy. It’s supporting detoxification. So more of our natural PR moves forward as the unwanted and unnecessary toxins start to leave more. And so there’s this real beautiful synergy that starts to happen when we eat in a more plant forward way.
We are also then more in tune with our guts and our guts give us messages from deep inside of us about clarity and decision making. And then as we spread out, we know that seasonal foods and especially local foods that you make at, at your farmer’s market or around you really put you in tune with the energy of the land around you. So for instance, when I go to Hawaii, I am always eating from the trees on our land, and we are blessed to have many different fruit trees, guava oranges, grape fruit, avocado, coconut. So that just by literally walking with my kids around and eating what’s around what is birthing from nature in that moment, the natural minerals, the natural energy what’s coming up from the soil. I feel attuned to the earth around me. I feel more groundedness. I feel a connection. This is all energy, it’s all supportive.
And of course from a ecological perspective, supporting local foods means there’s less transportation. There’s less of a carbon footprint. So it’s, we’re working with the harmony of nature. We’re making choices that on all levels harmonize and feel really good and deeply nourishing. So eating plant forward, if not all plant forward, as many of you know, I personally have been fully plant based for many years. My kids are fully plant based. It’s a choice, but no matter if you do keep some animal products and we still wanna be plant forward and we wanna adjust for the seasons. So that again, I’m eating these tropical fruits when I’m in Hawaii, but, and then we go back and forth. When I’m in California, we are eating. We’re blessed to have fruit trees here on the land as well. We have several apple trees and pomegranates, which are in season now.
And some of our, um, we have blood orange and Mandarin. Some of them are coming up. So every day my kids and I pick the apples and it does help us harmonize. I feel like in this back and forth, and I feel this connection to the land here in California, eating the local plants. So if possible, it’s a great idea to grow some of your own food, get your hands in the soil, even if it’s a planter box with herbs or, um, you know, an easy to grow plant, like we’re still sort of in tomato season, it’s a great way to connect and to create that harmony through growing, putting your energy into something and putting it in your body. So with our body cornerstone, this there’s crossover here, like there is with all of these because we’re part of the whole, our UTA teaches us that the real center of your health and your internal harmony in your body will come, will always come from digestion.
And digestion is a critical bodily process that is connected to many others, including immunity. It’s connected to your endocrine system, your nervous system. So many aspects come from this we’ll center, the gut. And so at Solluna, this is the reason that we have focused our, our product, our, uh, supplements, our products around digestion, because whilst we can all get cut up in minutia and maybe I need more riboflavin or you know, this or that we want the machine to function optimally. So we don’t offer a lot of products, but something is powerful as our SBO, our clinically researched SBO soil based organism probiotics, taking them every day is such a powerful way to synergize your whole system, because this is born of when we used to eat soil as humans and synergize with the soil where the natural probiotics came from, that can survive stomach acid and really proliferate in your gut.
So good digestion is a very important way to harmonize yourself. We have tons of articles and food recipes, and so much information on the site@mysolona.com. If you wanna go down the rabbit hole, I will say that some, you know, easy overarching suggestions or some simpler ones that I wanna recommend here are to make sure, as I mentioned earlier, that you’re not eating dinner too late, because you wanna give your ti your body adequate time to really digest. And we can see this from a common sense perspective. And then there’s whole plans laid out from an intermittent fasting perspective around this idea. We can also link to the, um, to the podcast I did with Dr. Will Cole, who has a book on intermittent fasting, and he talks about protocols like 12, 12, and then it goes down to, you know, compressing the hours that you eat.
But just in a general sense, we don’t wanna eat too late. And in the morning, we wanna start to sense when our bodies really need food. So starting the day with this water analogy, hydration, and really putting more water in the, the heated liquids are really wonderful from a digestive standpoint to stimulate digestive fire, which is why I always recommend starting with hot water with lemon room, temperature, water, and really getting that water in even before we’re considering eating anything. So we wanna get into this natural flow and that’s really supportive of digestion. Our digestion will always slow down. Detoxification will always slow down if we are dehydrated. And this also, this dehydration manifests throughout the whole body in more stiffness. We’re just saying the doubt, which we definitely wanna avoid. It is
The antithesis of vitality and suppleness dehydration will tighten and constrict our fascia, which is this connective tissue, which, which wraps around our muscles and our tissues and our organs. And so then there’s less of this electromagnetic impulse running through the body known as you know, the Chi the life force the PR. So we don’t feel that harmony. We start to feel more blocked, literally more tight, more tense, and this never feels we, we, we never feel in our full creative power. This softness is also connected to the Kini, the shock tea, the creative essence, this real lubricated essence, which can not just concentrate in the sacral chakra, but rise up and through us. And by the way, the sacral chakra element fat is water. So the more we impart water into our bodies, especially in times of heat, we start to really discern seasonally and monthly and week to week about our water intake and eating more watery foods like fresh fruit year round.
I’m a big fan of that, whether it’s an RG GS, otherwise we will adjust our diet more in the winter to have cooked heavier foods, curries and kitcheree and things like that. But I still, I, I always year round start with a hot liquid like hot water with lemon, but then I still do keep some raw vitamin C and enzyme rich fruit year round as well. So it’s adjustment it’s personal body constitution and so on. So these are some of the ways that we can, we can really support our bodies and our digestion. And another thing that I wanna mention here is not over pushing with our exercise routine. This is about creating harmony intuition. When am I too tired? Or when is it so hot? This hot yoga class doesn’t make sense? <laugh>, it’s just fanning the Pitta, the fire element is just over exacerbated in my system right now.
We just start to feel that. So rather than going over and sticking to this rigid idea, which I used to buy into by the way, which is why I’m very familiar with it. There were times in college where I thought, oh, I have to run this amount every day. Otherwise I’m not gonna maintain the weight I want. I hate to burn this amount of calories. I have to run X amount of minutes, even when I was feeling sore, even when I was just, you know, the first day of my period, and really did not feel like pushing myself, I would do it because of these charts and numbers. And these externals reflecting back to me that I was supposed to do it. And when we over rely on the outside, we do not come into this full merging with the present. This harmony, that is really where our point of power is. So I invite you to just take a look at your exercise routine and how that is flowing for you throughout the year and seasonally.
Creating harmony with your inner truth
And from an emotional wellbeing standpoint, we start to create harmony by being so connected with our own inner truth and our inner intuition that we start to drop this energy intensive activity of trying to convince others, of trying to push others, to see or agree with us, whether, and it’s that, Hey, it’s not a good idea to eat dairy <laugh> or Hey, this way of mothering is the best way or whatever it is. We start to find harmony between our truth and other people’s truths. And this is all so written about throughout it’s written in the Tao. This idea of fluidity means we know we are so connected to source inside of us, that we respect that it manifests. It can manifest very differently in other people.
So this harmony is dropping this over managing this controlling, this, you know, trying to push other people around us. And so we start to step back more and more <laugh> in our conversations. It doesn’t mean that we don’t keep healthy boundaries. It doesn’t mean that we don’t share our truth, but we start to discern where we can witness more than judge or when our opinion is not needed so much. And we can just listen, we can hold space for someone. We don’t have to agree with them, but they don’t have to agree with us. So emotionally, we start to rest. We start to create less drama in and around our lives. And there is great harmony that comes from this emotionally more sturdy place. And this of course has an impact on our stress hormones, our nervous system, we can relax more. Our digestion is definitely positively impacted by this.
So everything starts to work together more and more in our fourth cornerstone spiritual growth, which is the mother of all the cornerstones. We could say, this is the mother of all true health, true beauty, true vitality, true creativity, true abundance, true magnetism, true peace. Everything we are wanting to create more of in our lives comes from inner connection to the true self, to the formless energy inside of you. So the more we identify with this energetic anchor inside of us, and the less we identify with this form, this stiffened structure, if you will, the bag of skin and bones that we are these ideas, these rigid concepts, which we sometimes clinging to, the more powerful we become. It’s a little bit ironic because we don’t see the energy necessarily with our physical eyes. We discern it with our third eye where we focus in meditation, and we have more access to inner wisdom in your knowing, but this creates an incredible harmony through our lives because we start to flow more through life with less entanglement.
We’re less concerned with all the details and the pushing. We rise up to each moment with this deep sense of harmony. We pivot in different directions with what’s coming. Our way, fear starts to dissolve more and more because we know we, we have more trust. So we’re aligned with the way we’re not just pushing our way <laugh>, but we co-create with the way. So there’s this great, true force behind our decisions and actions, which as stead arise from deep inside of us. So the most powerful daily practice is meditation and the consistency of it. And so I will offer our free meditations, which you can access over on the website, mysolluna.com. You can also access them on our app, our Solluna app, which you can check out on the app store. And I’m just looking now on my phone at the practical enlightenment meditations that we offer. There’s one called the peace meditation, loving awareness, releasing rigidity could be really good for this particular topic, trusting life meditation. So there are generally seven ish minutes. So I just recommend really attuning to the inner self. As you start the day, even if we flow outward, <laugh> we get more identified with the ego that’s okay. We all will. We all do we dip in and out it’s part of the journey, but starting the day, attuned more will create a much more aligned, harmonious, powerful day. So as you can see, we have offerings
For at Solluna, which is my lifestyle brand. In all of the cornerstones. We have tons of food recipes. We have the 30 Day Roadmap to Healthy Weight Loss. If you’re looking for a plan, we have my first books in body. We have a whole range of digestive based supplements, which are very powerful, including detox, which you take in the evening, a, an oxygen and magnesium based product to cleanse waste, which I credit fully for my flat tummy. <laugh> I don’t do any AB work, but I have cleansed bloat and waste and gas from my system, which I think a lot of us hold. And that has really helped me physically and also with mental clarity. And then we also have high performance skincare and the emotional wellbeing. Cornerstone. We have the latest book. You are more than you think you are, which really spans all of them.
We have our Solluna Circle, which is our online community program. I invite you to join us. We’re on zoom every month. We’re meditating. We are journaling together. We have all this supportive, um, offerings for you. And then the spiritual growth I offer you. The new book crosses here as well, and then also the free meditations. So my goal, my intention for you with this show with a podcast in general is to really support you in feeling your best. I’m so honored to be here with you on the journey. So, as I mentioned earlier, please keep the questions coming, which I answer on the Thursday, Q&A show. Please stay connected to me. I’m also on social media at underscore Kimberly Snyder. I will see you online. I will see you back here Thursday for our next Q&A show, sending you so much love, much Aloha, Namaste, peace and love.
