I am so excited because it’s time for this week’s Q&A segment on “Beauty Inside Out” with Kimberly Snyder. This week, I answer four trending questions from the Beauty Detox Community.

Amanda – Tucson, AZ
What do you recommend for women who struggle with severe menstrual cramps? I typically take an Ibuprofen when the pain starts; however, I would love to start incorporating more natural remedies.
Ruth – Nashville, TN
I work out almost every day and I’ve been told consuming protein soon after a workout is most beneficial. I am always conflicted between drinking a GGS or making another smoothie with protein powder. Does the timing of when I consume protein matter?
Nadia – Flemington, NJ
I started eating a mostly whole food, plant-based diet last year. I’ve heard that there should be no oil in our diets, since oil isn’t a whole food? What are your thoughts on that?
Lauren – Sydney Australia
What do you think about using cooked spinach in the GGS?

Steeping and drinking ginger really helps me for period cramps. I used to take ibuprofen but don’t have to anymore with ginger. It’s amazing. I drink it every day when I’m on my period.
